You need a warehouse to store all the good parts and bodies that are worth saving.. You certainly know a lot about those cars and rebuilding the good bodies with the parts in one location would be an easy operation for you..really enjoy watching you bring these cars back to life...

I bought a 68 Charger with a 383, slapstick, blue with a vinyl top after I graduated high in 87, for 500.00. the transmission was fucked, but the guy who rebuilt it promised that he'd fix it. It also needed a passenger side front fender. It looked exactly liked the charger from the movie Christine. It was bored our 30 over also. I'm so glad I kept it. People have been trying to get for years. My friend from high school bought a 68 roadrunner around the same time as well.

Most of the rot and is caused but leaving them in contact with the ground. Rust starts and progresses when wet and humidity is present. The cars that must remain at your friends farm should be raised at least 1/2 meter in the air to get them dry and air circulation.
I had a 68 triple green 383 auto. It was my first car.
Thanks for your videos. As long as you share them I will be watching.

"frame rail delete", Hell that'll buff out! JK I love it. I'm glad to see you get them. You do great work. Wish I had the time, energy, and money to mess around with old cars still. It's been about 10yrs since I've done a build. I'm dieing to find a project car. Watching your videos is really making me miss it even more. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming! P.S. love the 30 minute and hour long videos. It's real and raw. It's not just another 10 or 15 min video that feels fake and solely created for the views and ad revenue. They're purely based on your passion for these cars. The world needs more of this.

The best part of these cars is the fact that each one for the most part were ordered by the customer to fit there personality unlike the cookie cutter cars of today that all look alike. And most people only kept these cars for 2 to 3 years and traded them in or sold them cheap to todays standards. Having people like you chris who appreciate and love these cars to keep them around for future generations who may actually enjoy them later down the road is awesome. Big thumbs up to you my friend.

Mid 80’s I walked past a rusted hulk of a 70’ V code stick car on a weekly basis...rotten to the gills from salt and Canadian winters..... woulda shoulda I suppose.
Proud that you are giving love to the rusty’s though , very ambitious.

Sounds like you got your hands full. Great you have the space you have. 318 car, parts perhaps. Sad to see pretty much shot. 440 car is pretty cool. Nice someone fixed that. You mentioned 'a dime a dozen' for these cars back in the day. I bought my 383 mag, 727 posi for $750 in '77. Sure, it looked great (coppertone gold) but was rough underneath. It actually got hit while it was parked, creaming the DS rear quarter. Guy who hit it offered to fix it. I took the $1065 insurance and said goodbye, sadly. Heck, just weeeks before i was trying to sell it for $800 with no takers. Had a Newport engine and trans then but still ran good. Gas crisis days of '80.

Scott T I think it's something with the way Dodge, or rather Chrysler if Dodge was part of Chrysler at the time, had the metal for the frame made. I've come across many Chevy and Ford vehicles that are just fine. Even the newer Dodge vehicles seem to have an excessive amount of rust. Too much carbon, not enough carbon, maybe Ford and chevy coated their frames with something while Chrysler/Dodge didn't? I'm thinking it's a thickness or carbon amount issue. At the pulls about 2 days ago the Fords pulled without much twisting but every Dodge that pulled wanted the bow up in the center. Every brand that pulled was 4-wheel diesel, so that eliminates the difference in engines and drive train causing the issue.

    205,000 miles !!!!
These cars were bullet proof reliable with anything from a 318 to 440 !!
5 digit odometer meaning after 99,999 the go to 00,000..
I sold these in the late 70's as a teen....These Charger's,old Granny Polara's had over 100,000 miles in 1978 !! In the early 80's these had 150,000 and more miles and they looked decent..
Interiors didnt rip until 130,000 miles or if aged 10 years or so !!
My Dads 1970 440 6 barrel Cuda has 240,000 miles and that was put on in the 70's and early 80's..He then rebuilt the 440 and repainted it,car was always kept up and he street raced it and drag raced it..High 11 second car..He just drove it to shows and evening cruises in the 1990's and today he still drives it,very little but...No racing or burnouts now though !! lol !!! He is 83 today and still owns the 'Cuda..
My Grand parents had a 1970 Polara 383 4bbl Magnum !!!! 4 door post, plain model, total sleeper..They hardly drove the car and it had 105,000 miles in 1988 !! They went to Church,Grocery store and it sat for 2 days per week !! They were both retired and never traveled far..Car looked like new in/out !! My Uncle has it today,145,000 miles and everyone says look 45,000 original miles !!
Again I sold old cars starting in 1977,these 1968-1969 all had well over 100,000 miles then !!!! More than you would think had close to 200,000 miles and ran great..
**what killed these engines was the ending of leaded gas in the 90's !! Now no zinc in the motor oil (less zinc you need additives .
Even 426 Hemi cars have over 100,000 miles, not all under 100,000 and restored !!
Most people weren't there back in the 1970's to see the original owners trade them in and say the real mileage with real documented proof !!!!!! and people think they didnt last or they have low miles and they write about it in magazines etc..Total bogus, they all had well over 100,000 to 200,000 miles and some more !! Even so called experts are pretty dumb, they have no clue ! I seen them, talked to some and omg !!!
Again I sold these cars in the late 1970's and majority had over 100,000 miles then and ran perfect and were in nice shape..It was the teen who bought then in 1977 and trashed them then left them in a field in 1980 to rot away with a blown bottom end 440 or 383 4bbl from flooring it without holding the brake and doing a 200 foot burnout while the engine is revving at 6500 rpm lol..
In 1979 these sold for $1,200 and thats $4700 today,so it wasnt dirt cheap !! It was $4700,still cheap for a hot car,but not like it was $1200 in todays money !!
Again these had over 100,000 miles to over 200,000 miles..
I bought a 1 owner 70 Charger 500 ,383 it had 156,000 miles in 1981..Car was beautiful in/out ,very reliable ! The owner repaired the seam in the drivers seat and kept up on maint..I drove it 40,000 miles in 2 years with only a bigger carburetor (mandatory) battery ,radiator and brake shoe replacement and sold it to buy a 69 Charger RT I knew of hiding in a backyard..The mileage 177,000 ! Owner had every maint record for the car and mileage !! Yes,I still own it...with others !
I worked at a Chrysler /Plymouth dealer for awhile and a 1owner about a 45 year old female in a 1973 340 ,4 speed Cuda came in .. 1 owner and 110,000 miles in 1979... I was fixing and flipping cars on the side, mainly cheap early-mid 1960's cars...I had a few dollars and bought the Cuda ,sold it 2 days later to my buddy !!!! I already had a 68 Chrysler 300,68 Charger RT and the 69 Charger RT that needed maint, light interior work and I took out the shackles and idiotic small steering wheel and removed the duel 4bb carbs ..I added a cam and 4bbl and it was quicker than the 2-4's.. Buddy still has the Cuda !!

They can't all be diamonds in the rough. It's just good that someone is saving them even if only for parts. Before long there won't be any of these cars sitting in fields rotting away that aren't far beyond usefulness.

‘Before long there won’t be anymore of these cars that aren’t sitting in fields useless’ that’s because people are buying up every charger they see and hoarding them. That’s why nobody can get their dream car project charger. One guy has 100 chargers. Who needs 100 chargers?

Yellow 318 is a great donor car, for a couple of your BB Chargers.
I would put the Dash & AC into the green one. You live in the Nevada if memory serves me. lol The right front frame rail & the rear tail light panel could also be used in the green one as well.
Didnt you have a car that needs a Good Roof? And You know you will need a good rear floor, & inner wheel wells for something.
Plus all the misc pieces that are still usable, & to numerable to list. :P

    Happy ending.
About 20 years ago, I was shown a 70 Charger RT SE 440 -4bbl/Auto/ A/C car - completely original - yellow/white top/white RT tail stripe - sitting in the grass. Considerably cleaner than these & original down to the wheels and air cleaner. Took a hit on the front driver's side bumper, but otherwise very straight.
Offered him decent cash to haul it away. No dice.
My guess is it's still there, looking far worse by now.

Nothing wrong with a 318 in those days for those who can't afford a 440/crate motor. A 318 could be built up street wise for about 260hp with a four barrel manifold .. Some do care about the plain Jane 318. Sad to see another White hat gone to the Mopar Gods in the sky. You must have a revolving charge account with Auto Metal Direct, Year one and Classic Industries.

all it needs is 4 new hubcaps... then squeeze a new car in between them.

I have a 68 like that, restored and 512 stroker (440 built up) Looks dead stock, even engine looks stock and it can run low 10's if it had slicks...I got lucky and ran 11.33 at 128 mph(usually I just burn down the track and run 12's lol)..Built 440 (512 now) 727 and 3.23 gears 275 50 series rear and 235 70 fronts on road wheels (magnum 500's)...or my Correct Bias Ply reproduction tires and factory 14 road wheels aka Magnum 500's..I just restored a 69 318 Charger, now a R4 red/black 440 RT well another stroker same set up as my 68 but 535 cubic inches, and more power but looks stock as can be..I restored many rusted shells worse than the ones he has lol...We are working on my buddies 72 Road Runner right now,400 727 3.54 all factory, again engine will be 600 hp min and stock looking ,oh I run pump gas !!!

I'd hate to see you leave youtube, but some cable channel would be smart to pay you big money to follow you around restoring your Charger fleet and scouring the country for more hidden treasures over the next 20 years.
