It makes me feel like a kid on Christmas morning as I cycle through the Bavarian countryside on my 65" television. Great video. Great escape from the extreme cold. Great exercise. I look forward to tomorrow's trip.
Being an older rider I like to more video's around 30 minutes long.. I find short work outs every other day is easier on the legs. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your help. I love cycling outdoor, but nowadays when the weather is bad your video can help me with overcoming these times and improves my indoor cycling better. So, thank you.
Thanks! Yes, with bad weather, or when it's very cold or the days are short and it's getting dark so early it's great to exercise indoors, and still having a little 'outside' feeling and exploring new regions.
Time well spent on this beautiful ride through the German countryside. I look forward to your next ride - soon hopefully! Thank you for the great video.
Thank you so much! I just got an indoor bike and was riding it first time on New Years day in snowy New York with this beautiful German countryside video - Great experience! Hope you ll make more! Danke!
oh wow, I'm really so happy you liked the video, you made my day :-) 1st day of the year :-) all these positive comments are so motivating! You know my sister lives in New York and I had her on facetime yesterday at 12 am with the firework here in Mering/Germany :-) Happy New Year!!
I found your video a great help to pass the time on my bike rollers on the days when it's impossible to get out. Been focusing on the wheelie bin until now. Great quality, your video that is, not the wheelie bin - ha ha!!. Thanks
Very nice. Just bought my trainer and this was my first ever "virtual" ride. I lived in Germany for 7 yrs and never took advantage of the cycling opportunities. I regret that very much. I look forward to seeing more of your work. I hope you can make your way over to the Westerwald and Taunus areas of Hessen and have the good fortune of blue skies. Be safe.
Westerwald and Taunus - great idea. I'm planning to record in the Main-Spessart Area in the summer (I've been living there until recently) which is not very far from the Taunus and my aunt is living close to Frankfort ... let's see, maybe I can do some recordings in the Taunus, too. Yes, Germany is perfect for cycling! :-) Enjoy your cycling trips on your trainer :-) I will provide more trips in the future. Please also subscribe to my website (indoor-cycling-videos.com) , it'll launch soon and there will be free videos for the subscribers at launch day!
Thank you! Excellent view. I lived in Germany for six years and miss the beauty and biking over there. Just bought a spin bike and this is exaclty what I was looking for. Great job.
Awesome! Small world, isn't it? I remember driving through Mering. :-) I am so looking forward to seeing your new videos. This is exciting! Are you a spin instructor?
I'm not an instructor. I just bought a spin bike a few months ago to stay fit (I do other fitness exercises too, but now added the spin bike for rainy/cold days and evenings to exercise at home) and then had the idea to produce these videos! I'm currently working on my website, it'll open up soon (but there will be more videos here on youtube, too! :-)
Thanks for this scenic ride. We just received 25-30 cm of snow (still falling actually) so roads are not fit for cycling or running tonight. This helps me get in a good cardio workout (on top of my earlier snow shovelling). Cheers from Canada!

Thank you very much for your time and for your video This is an excellent work Impressive image quality with outstanding stability From a rider of Montreal city, Quebec, Canada Merci encore une fois
Thank you so much, the fact you like it and enjoy it really makes me so happy!! :-) When I'm recording these videos I always picture many cyclists from all over the world cycling these roads, it is as if they were there, sort of jumping in time and space :-) I love it Merci beaucoup pour ton commentaire!
What a fantastic video! Your city is wonderful. It seems unreal to me. Everything is so beautiful and perfect. Thanks for posting the video. Briefly put a video of my city is all you
Fantastische Video ! This is perfect for winter training; and a wonderfully interesting route through the farmlands of southern Germany in late summer. I can't wait to ride your next route, here in rural Illinois, USA, in mid winter.
Thank you so much for your encouraging commentary! Ganz herzlichen Dank! There will be more, - right now I'm working on some technical issues, having problems with uploading the files, - but these will be solved for sure and new videos are coming, on my website and also on youtube!
Love this video! I am using it almost everyday to prepare for our bike trip across Germany from Stade to Donauworth where we will pickup the Via Claudia Augusta and bike through to Trento. We will have our Jack Russell, Thor, in his bike trailer as well. Can't wait until you get your site operational! Great work!
I have been cycling to your clips all week doing more and more time everyday due to the beautiful scenery..Thanks so much for taking the time to put these films up... I am a fan :)
I really don't understand why people down vote what is clearly first class work! Total mystery to me! Its winter here, I use this video at least twice a week and will do, until spring finally arrives!
I don't get it, too because usually on youtube when I don't like a clip I'm simply moving on ... I often click "like" though, - pretty much whenever I watched a clip and think it was worth watching .. may well be that some people mistakenly click the wrong button or they are just grumpy .. I'm so happy that you like the video! It's great to know that people have more fun with their workout with these videos!!
There sure will be more on my youtube channel. Right now I'm working on some cycling trips that will be available on my website indoor-cycling-videos.com but I have one in the backlog that I am going to publish on this channel (I need to cut it yet) and I will certainly produce more rides in the future (for both, the channel and the website). Thanks for commenting :-) I hope you enjoy this cycling trip.
Just bought a spin bike for training during the off season (in Canada, can't get out much in the winter), assembled it this afternoon and this was the first thing i've done. Beautiful ride. thanks!
great vid. helping me train over winter. I'm heading to this area on my motorcycle from uk later this year. beautiful. make more vids please. by far the best.
OK, I got down "more flowers" on my to-do-list for future videos ;-D [No seriously, if anybody who reads this has any suggestion on how I can improve the video style, please let me know, best way via email, you'll find my email address in the "About" tab above ... ]
I've been pouring through videos to put together virtual rides for my studio and your videos are among the best! Stunning stability and image quality. I LOVE that you leave them clear of a dash-board because this allows me to craft my own ride around it and I can use the same video for multiple rides. I would encourage you to always keep this as an option. I've shared your site at our most recent meeting where there were about 40 cycling instructors. Can't wait to see what you bring next. Very cool!
Hallo Eddie, thank you SO much!! Your recommendation and sharing will certainly help me produce many more videos in the future!! A BIG thanks to you :-)
Yes, please do! I'm editing a video right now, approximately 70 minutes beautiful trip, I can't stop watching it myself :-D honestly, it is soooo beautiful, just a wonderful cycling trip, and will be up on the website when opening (among other videos) Thanks for commenting
Hermoso video Cornelia! Beso :)
Thanks!! It'll take me some days from now to open up the website, it'll open up before the end of January 100% guarantee, (but everybody can already subscribe on the website (not to miss it))
Mark de Boer I ran into some technical issues and will need more time, maybe 2 weeks from now (30. January), sorry to letting you wait longer than expected!
Great video for indoor exercise. I'm on a treadmill, not a bike, but I prefer bike speeds for more varied scenery. What else is good about this video? (1) You don't clutter the screen with your own program (CHANGE RESISTANCE, MAXIMUM SPEED NOW, RECOVER, and those annoying count downs. Thanks for letting us enjoy the scenery and make our own programs! (2) As a "Blue Highways" road trip guy, I enjoy going through small towns and villages as much as the countryside. In fact, I've found that the all-woods-and-fields videos get a bit tedious. This route has a perfect mix of town and country. The lens is nice and wide, so you can take in some of the roadside points of interest. And finally, you encounter just enough people here and there to make it interesting. The few farm tractors that pop up from time to time almost feel like this is a Hollywood production ("OK. Cue the farmer on camera left...Action!) Thank you, Cornelia, for brightening my indoor exercise!
Cesare Beccaria Thanks for your friendly review! You might also enjoy this 35-minute-bike-trip: ua-cam.com/video/5it9yZ5Skq0/v-deo.html I recorded it one early morning at sunrise. Happy cycling :-)
Cornelia IndoorCyclingVideo Guten tag Cornelia. Hast du neu filme gemacht die letzten zeit? Leider nichts gehort fur paar monaten.
Vielen, vielen dank fuer Deinen Video. You Tube, "Sunny Fall Day Round Trip" Video.
I'm happy you like it! Here is another one, 35 minutes for your training: 35-minute bike training - Early Morning Sunrise (Indoor Cycling Video) This one is with music. Have fun :-)
LOL well you only need to worry when people suddenly wave back :-D For more videos: please subscribe at my website, there will be free videos for the subscribers when the site is launching (1-2 weeks from now) ... but also here on youtube there will be more videos ... I just need some time to cut it, I'm currently working on the website ...
Thanks! Its a great video. I´m running it on a unit that controls video speed to same as my pedaling speed. Can you ad text-coments in coming videos to indicate present forse, like -easy -normal -hard -very hard. It would ad to the experiance!!
Awesome, very interesting, I never tested such kind of device, does it work with any video or do you need a certain minimum quality requirements (if so, what are the requirements?) About the easy/normal/hard/very hard scale ... I was pondering on this a lot and as most other producers feature these indicators, I thought I'm going to not have them. After reading your comment though, I had the idea to produce two versions of a video: one with and one without it. Not sure yet ... my initial idea was to focus on the scenery only, to keep the video as flexible as possible so people can set up their very own training (e.g. with a little gadget like the gymboss or setting a repeating alarm if you like to alter from easy to hard) - This way one can even use these videos for a recreational training without feeling bad when not following video performance targets. That was my thinking, but if there is a demand for performance level indications, I might put them in in the future (maybe have two versions, one with, one without)
Cornelia IndoorCyclingVideo It´s a homemade unit running a ARDUINO micro controller with program, USB connected to my PC. It controls the speed of VLC media player (Freeware), 40 - 200% of recorded speed.). A sensor counts number of pedal turns per every 4 sec. and regulates the VLC speed accordantly . If I stop pedaling video will stop to. Please excuse my bad English. Again, thank you for very pleasant trip in your neighborhood area. And, Marry Christmas! /Hans
Hans Näsström homemade!? Very, very impressive, really!!! What a great idea! Does it work smoothly, - I mean: is the video image steady and flawless when slowing the video down or speeding it up? Does it work better with e.g. 30 frames per second footage or 60 frames per second footage or is this not important within the range of 40 to 200 % of speed?
Cornelia IndoorCyclingVideo It works realistic and very fine from 40% to 140%. If slower it starts hacking a bit, and faster the 140% is not realistic either. If slower than 40% I set video on Pause and wait for faster pedaling. You can test it yourself ! 1. Download “VLC media player”, and do a setup for this to work. 2. Go to TOOLS 3. Hotkeys 4. Faster (fine) set to 6) 5. Slower (fine) set to 4) 6. SAVE You can now run your video and control the speed up - down by using key 4 and 6. You will see present speed in upper corner of the window. God luck, let me know if you got it working.
Would you be able to share the gpx file for this ride so I could use this with a KICKR controlled resistance for the climbs and descents. If it works well I may buy one of you bundles if I could have the evevation gpx files that go with them. Thankyou
Hi Kevin, I didn't record the GPS data for this particular video. However, I recorded the data for other videos with a Garmin Edge 500. But I didn't figure out how to attach the data to the videos yet. I'm afraid I cannot help your right now with the gpx file. For more information please contact me directly, you can find my email address on my website at the FAQs, 4.4.

After all these years, still come back to this ride! Beautiful, thanks!
It makes me feel like a kid on Christmas morning as I cycle through the Bavarian countryside on my 65" television.

This Video is perfect. It's peaceful and beautiful scenery. Totally tranquil.

beautiful countryside and excellent filming! Thanks!
Being an older rider I like to more video's around 30 minutes long.. I find short work outs every other day is easier on the legs. Keep up the good work.
So nice to take a "ride" with such great scenery!
Thank you for your help. I love cycling outdoor, but nowadays when the weather is bad your video can help me with overcoming these times and improves my indoor cycling better. So, thank you.
Better should not be there.
Thanks! Yes, with bad weather, or when it's very cold or the days are short and it's getting dark so early it's great to exercise indoors, and still having a little 'outside' feeling and exploring new regions.
Awesome videos! Perfect when the weather ruins my outdoor riding plans!
this video really up my mileage on the stationary bike. Nice scenery.

Siting in Rochester, NY - riding through Germany. Fantastic, enjoyed thoroughly. Thanks.
Thank you so much!!
Loved it thank you so much.Just the right length. A beautiful and quiet place too, I would love to ride here regularly with so few cars.
yes, having only a few cars passing is a big advantage of living in a rural area!
great place and amazing video. thanks for the great job
I found your video a great help to pass the time on my bike rollers on the days when it's impossible to get out. Been focusing on the wheelie bin until now. Great quality, your video that is, not the wheelie bin - ha ha!!. Thanks
Thanks :-) I just watched your rollers video ... looks really difficult to me, I'm glad I'm having my spin bike :-D
In what area have you been living?
Lansburg, Scwabmunchin, and Augsburg areas. Stationed in the US Army then as a missionary with my family.
Wow - That's exactly where I am located! I'm in Mering :-) How nice!!
Awesome! Small world, isn't it? I remember driving through Mering. :-) I am so looking forward to seeing your new videos. This is exciting! Are you a spin instructor?
I'm not an instructor.
This is exactly what i have been looking for.thank you so much for your great work.
Thank you - your video is wonderful. Excellent video quality, and gorgeous landscape. I look forward to more!
there will be more ... thanks :-)

Thanks! Its a great video. I´m running it on a unit that controls video speed to same
as my pedaling speed. Can you ad text-coments in coming videos to indicate present forse, like -easy -normal -hard -very hard. It would ad to the experiance!!
Awesome, very interesting, I never tested such kind of device, does it work with any video or do you need a certain minimum quality requirements (if so, what are the requirements?)
About the easy/normal/hard/very hard scale ...

It´s a homemade unit running a ARDUINO micro controller with program,
USB connected to my PC.
It controls the speed of VLC media player (Freeware),
40 - 200% of recorded speed.).
A sensor counts number of pedal turns per every 4 sec. and regulates the
VLC speed accordantly . If I stop pedaling video will stop to.
Please excuse my bad English.
Again, thank you for very pleasant trip in your neighborhood area.
And, Marry Christmas!

Cornelia IndoorCyclingVideo
It works realistic and very fine from 40% to 140%.
If slower it starts hacking a bit, and faster the 140% is not realistic either.
If slower than 40% I set video on Pause and wait for faster pedaling.
You can test it yourself !
1. Download “VLC media player”, and do a setup for this to work.
2. Go to TOOLS
3. Hotkeys
4. Faster (fine) set to 6)
5. Slower (fine) set to 4)
6. SAVE
You can now run your video and control the speed
up - down by using key 4 and 6.
You will see present speed in upper corner of the window.
God luck, let me know if you got it working.
I love the video, really gives me the feeling of riding in Germany.
What setup do you use for recording and stability?
That's great, please come visit again :-)
On the setup I'm still working to improve!
Nice video. Is there supposed to be any sound with it? I get no sound.
mo oh no sound with this one. Here is another one with music: ua-cam.com/video/5it9yZ5Skq0/v-deo.html
Enjoy!
Lovely ride at Tour de France pace. Pity no sound.. But thanks
Thanks :-) There's one with music: ua-cam.com/video/5it9yZ5Skq0/v-deo.html Have a good ride!
