This is amazing. Thank you so much!! This is the only exercise where I've seen immediate results in fixing the uneven placement of my hips when having a bad case of sciatica

I wish I had this information when I was carrying babies around on my hip.I suffered for years. Thanks for educating us and giving us simple ways to correct our posture.

Nice information, but where are the exercises to correct it?

Wow thanks for this! I frequently have right side sciatic pain and a buddy of mine pointed out to me yesterday that I always stand with my left hip popped up (and 50+% of my job is standing). Went looking for an explanation and found you. I'll give this stretch/stregthen exercise a try! Easy enough to mirror you since I'm reversed from your example.

Yes! That exactly can cause sciatica symptoms. Check out the Left Hip High practice video for further self care and to start bringing that right hip up and the left one down.

So helpful! If I am “following” if my left hip is higher my back pain would be on the right side? And, if my left hip is high it would also connect to left inner knee pain (I started with that video). Thank you!!

You got it! And that's the typical pattern that can emerge. There's always a chance everything is flipped, but this is most likely, yes.

Love this video. Give me exactly the answers I've been looking for. I've been having lower back pain that's on and off but nothing too critical. I do calisthenics / bodyweight exercises and I have been doing them for about two years. About two years before I started working out I had an incident where I lifted a bag of 100 lb concrete the wrong way and blew my lower back out for an entire week. I was more naive at the time and just figured I'll just relax until the pain goes away and then I'll get back to it. I did exactly that and because I never looked into different types of therapy I started leaning to one direction ever so slightly without noticing it and because of that and working out on top of an in Balance I've developed this tilt. It sucks because it looks ugly. It's very uncomfortable as well. I do not have a severe case and most people cannot tell especially when I'm moving but I know about it and it bugs me and whenever I try to take a picture in the mirror it is definitely noticeable. It undermines a lot of the games that I've made because I notice I have shoulder, abs, and pack imbalances now. Nothing too crazy. Something that I can probably completely correct in about three or four months time if I work at it hard enough. Take care of your bodies guys. Sometimes it's the littlest things that will get you. I stretch and try to keep a good physique all year round and I still got got.

Scary how similar this story is to mine, going through it right now all because of those damn 100lb concrete bags

Can you talk more about the "false sciatica" that you mentioned that comes from the glutes and sides of the hips? That's very interesting to me because I have constant and frustrating tightness in the side and TFL area of my left hip.

i think my issue comes from the fact i use my right side too much 😭 i stopped seeing my osteopath during the pandemic and am feeling it now. i’m grateful for these videos and will see how the exercises go

Can adding an extra insole in either shoe help?? My right hip is higher and my sciatic pain is mainly on the left. I was diagnosed with scoliosis at a young age also. So my right shoulder sits lower than the left and I can feel the right side is tighter when I stretch that side or even when i try crunches. I'm 5 months pregnant now and the sciatica is really getting to me

Putting an insole in the left shoe can help. It gives some ease to the muscles while you're taking the time to fix the issue. Check out my videos for pregnancy! There's more to the story but it can really help to use that insole on the low hip side. And think about it a hip height issue and not a leg length issue. You can fix a hip height issue. Also do some side plank only on the left side to pull that left hip up.

I snapped my lower back 8 months back. After that my body was tilted to one side especially shoulders, I used technique of pushing against wall. Now my shoulders are even but my hips are uneven, In my country most physical therapist that I went to didn’t even examine my body ( they didn’t even let me take off my shirt to show my posture. All they did is massage with massager. I am sure I am going to screw my spine

Hi, i have a question. About 3 months ago i fell on my buttom but toward left, and since then I’ve been all sorts of symptoms mainly on my left side, they side that my weight fell on.
Unfortunately because of my insurance I didn’t have much access to physical therapy.
    Here are my symptoms:
My iliac crest on my left side on the back hurts the most, and then also my left side hip toward outside also hurts especially when i walk. I’m also having left leg and foot nerve issues like occasional pain, pin and needles etc.
Also my left side from hip down is more stiff compare to right side when i walk
I saw a physical therapist once only, and he said when i sit my left leg appears shorter. Does it mean the left pelvis is higher in this case?

I will follow all the instructions.
Another thing I noticed is that my left upper thigh also feels different than my right side. Should i do the release technique on the left thigh as well?
      Thank you 🙏
