You guys should do this for the first episode of every season of any really long length shows or the most popular ones. I think it's a good idea for those who don't have the money but still watch your videos every day to give them something like this.
The lady Walker Rick sees at the gas station in this ep was actually played the same girl (addy miller) who played the child Walker rick sees in the pilot. Crazy.
It gets better: Carl's whole sequence in the beginning is a near shot-for-shot tribute to the pilot's first scene. twitter.com/FTWDFans/status/922269636795797504
Scrumshiz very cool! Also the scene when the camera spans away from the place Negan & Father Gabe where in..was reminiscent to Rick being trapped in the tank w the walkers surrounding it. Loads of little callbacks.
Carol and Tara hunkered down on the overpass, Carol turns and "Looks at the flower" grafitti on the wall. Also it wasn't a lot of flowers, just a single flower, like the Cherokee Rose Daryl gave her...lots of callbacks in this episode.
FUN FACT: The girl walker that appeared at the gas station with Rick and Carl is actually the SAME actress that played the little girl walker in the first episode with Rick searching for gas.
Negan is always so composed. There's only 2 times his facade has dropped and those were Shiva-geddon and during this episode here. He dropped his act for 3 seconds before gaining it again. Things went too swimmingly for our heroes here (apart from Father Gabe) so I'm assuming it will not be this easy throughout the season. Also, I am so ready for Gregory to meet his doom.
Gabriel was the idiot who tried to save him despite just watching Gregory talk about how the Hilltop was with Negan, and how anyone who doesn't leave is fucked, and their families will be kicked out. I'm more disappointed in Gabriel than have hate towards Gregory for that.
I didn't realize the first time I watched this that A LOT was from the trailer. "Watching" this again with these guys, I notice so many more things. Haha. Much Love BWFANS😉💚
It was just stupid writing. After all the times negan humiliated rick and more importantly Rick promising him he'd kill him, they make rick spare negans life? Really? Smh
Negan shaved himself but made Carl and Judith watch. The gang just wanted to keep them blocked by Walkers while Negan gets frustrated. They go to all outposts Dwight gave them the list to get rid of them. Then deal with Negan last. Watch again for Easter eggs like Carol seeing a flower drawn on the bridge. Gas station from season one. Several more. Siddiq at gas station from comics.
Haven't finished the reaction yet, but if you are wondering Eugene gave Rick the instructions for crafting ammo if I remember correctly in the season 6 finale.
The sanctuary collected pictures of the ones they killed. Rick taking a picture of Negan was his way of mocking him, saying your going to be the one killed in a picture soon.
The reason Rick doesn't shoot Negan is simple. If he had shot Negan right there and killed him, THEN THAT WOULD HAVE ENDED THE WHOLE ARC. That whole hero/villain fallacy has existed since the inspection of the concept. If Negan were shot dead so easily, fans wouldn't have liked it because then Negan would've died a quick, dumb, un-epic death. Simple as that.
If that's the reason then why did the writers put Negan in a situation where he could get shot? If they don't want to end Negan's arc, don't put him in badly-written situations like that
SimChar then stop watching for good. In the comics negan will be there when the whispers arrive. If you want to critisize it about every single thing. Your not really a fan. I don't know why you are watching if you find something to hate about it. If you can't enjoy the show find something else.
the way i see it is that their goal wasn't to simply kill Negan and that's it because they would still have people fighting for him. But their goal was to also set conditions for his followers and make a point hence why they shot windows. Also, you don't just start an all out fire fight whenever. You want to be coordinated with your army. So they made their point for their followers. To show their followers they can be touched thus helping start a rebellion from the inside as well.
Yeah that was really bad lol. I mean, the whole episode was pretty bad tbh, and was nonsensical. I hope the rest of the season goes by better than this one.
That thing with Sasha, she wanted to die he didn't necessarily kill her. She knew someone else was gonna have to pay for what she did which is why she asked Eugene to make the pills
There was a part in this episode where Michonne and Rick briefly discuss picturing what the day after [after the war] looks like. I wonder if the scenes with old man Rick is Rick dreaming about the day after the battle
I think the shot of him at the graves at the beginning is also a different timeline (current story, crying in the rain by the stain glass window and old man rick) He's at the hilltop and were supposed to assume it's Glenn and Abe's graves but Enid put those green balloons on their graves and they weren't there in that scene, also rick is wearing a different color shirt (subtle but he doesn't change that often) I think he is standing over the graves of a couple characters who haven't died yet 4 different timelines; one at the start of the war, one in the middle (him in rain), one at the end of the war (by the graves), then old man rick after the war, years from now. 👀
Did Dayrl just kill the guy and take his cigarette? Ezekiel couldve been oscar winner actor a hundred times over in that world. Inspirational. So was Michonnes to Carl. Reminiscent of how she lifted Rick when his hope was failing preAlexandria.
I think a big thing to realize is that Gabriel (as far as I remember) didn't actually KNOW Gregory personally/hadn't been with the group whenever they saw him. It makes it much more understand imo that he'd try to help him since he wasn't aware of how much of a snake Gregory was. I think if Gabriel KNEW, he wouldn't have bothered to save him based on how much he totally DITCHED Spencer in season seven lol.
I like what Calvin said about Ricks death vision. That would be cool to see a scene where Ricks life flashes befoe him and then.. poof.... whats this?... the future? So this isnt the end?!? And then Rick suddenly snaps back to reality, grabbing his axe and slams into Negans skull!! >:D that would be kool lol
My guess Rick's eyes are red is because he was crying over death of Carl or Michonne. Probably Michonne since her movie career is probably going to boom
Major Jamm I thought it was the worse from the bad pacing carols selfish and stupid i don't want to care about people because I have to kill the drug out glen thing the boring Alexandria thing with rob and zombie herd. there was good stuff though the Morgan episode the Jesus introduction and the finale but to me season six to me other then those moments I had no want to watch
Wise Wolf Tony He talks too much and talking is not scary. The things that he says are stupid and not clever. One dimensional villains are boring, not interesting. The writers should have fleshed him out a bit early on as to make him more compelling. He does the same, stupid lean back body language every time he talks. Seriously, it's like watching some villain in looney tunes or duck tales. If you really think his "shittin pants" line is scary or good dialogue or whatever, you need to raise your standards. Because holy shit dude, it sounds like a kindergartner writes his dialogue. I know they are trying to stay true to the comics, but it is not translating well to the screen.
In my opinion I thought that was a good season opener. Very well balanced, good mixture of dialogue and action. The call backs to season 1 were so wonderfully shot. Rick's speech on top of the car is yet another great speech from Rick, delivered fantastically by Andrew Lincoln. Negan is still as arrogant and overconfident as ever but thats his character and I think we are going to see those characteristics leave him this season and we'll see different sides to him. I also believe that Gabriel is not dead, mainly because they would not kill off a main character off screen. The show doesn't do that (not with main characters anyway) I do think it's not going to end well for Gabriel though, he'll either be tortured or used like Eugene. I am going with the former here. The scenes also that are placed throughout the episode of bloodshot eyes Rick in the rain is something that will happen at the end of the first half of this season. I think we will see these scenes through each episode leading up until the mid-season finale and then we will finally see what has happened and I am worried because Rick looks pretty torn up there.
I've always loved Rick's speeches in the series. And like the guys said in the reaction, it was like having Rick back after being beaten down last season. And as Maggie speaks I always like to imagine Hershel and Glenn watching over her. I love her as the leader of Hilltop.
Jonathon yeah I'm not one of those hater fans that has just jumped on TWD hate bandwagon and hates on anyone that likes it and Ethan because they are epic speeches and we are allowed to :P
The Walking Dead needs to get darker and expand its world faster. Don't they live like 20 minutes outside of D.C? You'd think, if anywhere, the White House would probably be pretty defended. If not they'd probably find some clue as to a true safe spot. I dunno, seems like something they should've done by now.
I don't think it was a coincidence that Wierd AL singing "another one rides the bus" & the real song is "Another one bites the dust" was playing in the "flashforward" scene. The difference in age between Michonne, Judith and then Rick, gives me the impression that the show runners might be foreshadowing M & J's death at an early age, and Rick will live to a ripe old age. And the mercy, instead of his wrath speech is his grief. What do you think? Too much?
I think the flowers and ricks red eyes are for the death of Michonne. In the visions of the future Judith and Rick have aged but Michonne is still the same.
Someone else probably commented this but Calvin i think your thinking of Ramsey when Reek was shaving him. Pretty sure Negan just shaved himself during the tour of Alexandria. Ill have to go watch again

I just watched episode 1 last night and it was really cool but i honestly throught the season came out like this week but amc app had four episodes. Am i tripping hahahaha
I think red eyed rick is end of season or mid season were he gets shot by Dwights crossbow and he thinks his gonna die cause Morgan died from get hurt by there weapons since negan makes them put zombie blood on there weapons
The Dreadfort zombie blood dont affect human blood on TV show, they confirmed it a lot of times. Im thinking they will replace that whit poison in the show
Well despite the people complaining about the show there is more love for it obviously (I personally love it still) because the show keeps getting outstanding viewing numbers and money. So if it keeps getting those two things it will keep going and hope it does because a,long with GoT this is my other favourite show on TV :)
Rick needs to dial down his vengeance thirst, the Savior's aren't amateurs and they're not desperate either. The Savior's are gonna hit back hard in order for Rick or someone else to see that. Point being that are protagonists are way too cocky with all the speeches and sh*t.
shane vs negan? but negan is thomas wayne lol and he's batman in flashpoint soooooooo the real question is... punisher vs batman? who would win? haha lol
Literally no reason for them to not shoot Negan as soon as he stepped out, no reason for them to waste SO MUCH ammo shooting out the windows AND shooting at the guy with the grenade and zero reason, at this point in his character's development, for the pastor to save Gregory. It's just continuous dumb writing that could be avoided.
There were some bad writing moments this ep. But overall still a good episode. Having negan come out like he was bulletproof was incredibly stupid, no way to defend that.
Thats just Negan's character. He is so so cocky and arrogant and I think throughout the first half of this season we will see those characteristics leave him.

Such a underwhelming season opener.
You guys should do this for the first episode of every season of any really long length shows or the most popular ones. I think it's a good idea for those who don't have the money but still watch your videos every day to give them something like this.
Full length version not working. Says it's exceeded it's number of playbacks.
walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Addy_Miller
Cool that they used the same actress from the pilot episode.
yep cant watch it :( says exceeded play backs ...gives u option to download it aaaaand then doesnt let u do that either :(
The lady Walker Rick sees at the gas station in this ep was actually played the same girl (addy miller) who played the child Walker rick sees in the pilot.
TIGHT
Carol and Tara hunkered down on the overpass, Carol turns and "Looks at the flower" grafitti on the wall. Also it wasn't a lot of flowers, just a single flower, like the Cherokee Rose Daryl gave her...lots of callbacks in this episode.
Dean Mc Kinney dude that's Awesome
FUN FACT: The girl walker that appeared at the gas station with Rick and Carl is actually the SAME actress that played the little girl walker in the first episode with Rick searching for gas.
Ahh awesome!
That so cool
I loved all the callbacks to episode 1
Yes! That was one of the things I loved about this episode. The callbacks were so well done :D
Negan shaved himself with Carl in the room. He was telling Carl that you're supposed to shave against the grain.
lol Shane “I got a hero complex.....I would try to save him so I could post it on Instagram later”
Stain would not like him
was that a reference to Dan Bilzerian?
YassineBiggie lol. Best Arc of MHA so far
Love that Rick takes a picture of Negan when he's on the ground helpless.
A rebels, death note, and walking dead reaction. Today is going to be a great day
First episode turned Gregory into my most hated character
Agreed. One thing that annoyed me was Simon just pushing him down the stairs. After the speech I wanted them to just kill him :P
If that was Rick in car, he'd of ran him over. 😁
Gabriel was the idiot who tried to save him despite just watching Gregory talk about how the Hilltop was with Negan, and how anyone who doesn't leave is fucked, and their families will be kicked out. I'm more disappointed in Gabriel than have hate towards Gregory for that.
SAVAGE RICK IS BACK!!!
Negan shaved himself while Judith & Carl were in the bathroom with him(before they ate Spaghetti)
I didn't realize the first time I watched this that A LOT was from the trailer. "Watching" this again with these guys, I notice so many more things. Haha. Much Love BWFANS😉💚
I think the scenes with Rick’s red eyes, (most likely crying) are when Rick decides to spare Negan instead of killing him
No, that's Rick after he found a weed farm.
CO 68
lol
I'm thinking the same thing .
It was just stupid writing.
After all the times negan humiliated rick and more importantly Rick promising him he'd kill him, they make rick spare negans life?
Really?
Smh
@@bensenzo yoy dumbass, he was honoring Carl's last wishes to keep him alive. you dont know what stupid writing is.
Loved Rick in this episode. It feels like TWD again!!!
The sanctuary collected pictures of the ones they killed. Rick taking a picture of Negan was his way of mocking him, saying your going to be the one killed in a picture soon.
sooo your reaction made this episode 1000000 times better tbh!
15:50 Train to Busan indeed! hahaha
That's the dumbest reason ever
If that's the reason then why did the writers put Negan in a situation where he could get shot? If they don't want to end Negan's arc, don't put him in badly-written situations like that
Well if Negan died then another negan would take his place, or has everyone forgot the "we are negan" cult like mentality of their group?
SimChar then stop watching for good. In the comics negan will be there when the whispers arrive. If you want to critisize it about every single thing. Your not really a fan. I don't know why you are watching if you find something to hate about it. If you can't enjoy the show find something else.

40 Minutes long......FUCK YES
Negan's men were trying to come from behind. Daryl, Carol, Morgan and Tara were defending their rear.
Hope you guys got your 💩 👖 On
Eminem3DG Tyler that dialogue made me cringe
The Burger King yeah but it’s kinda cool at the same time don’t take it seriously
Jordan Cobden It was real bad
Yeah that was really bad lol. I mean, the whole episode was pretty bad tbh, and was nonsensical. I hope the rest of the season goes by better than this one.
Love your analysis guys. Also always enjoy your enthusiasm for these shows
That thing with Sasha, she wanted to die he didn't necessarily kill her. She knew someone else was gonna have to pay for what she did which is why she asked Eugene to make the pills
First time I've ever watched one of your reactions - what a great react/review! thank you!
There was a part in this episode where Michonne and Rick briefly discuss picturing what the day after [after the war] looks like. I wonder if the scenes with old man Rick is Rick dreaming about the day after the battle
lmao Calvin opened that Snickers bar like a boss ZERO noise!
Awesome free full length
I didn’t really feel much for the episode to be far, the feel of the show has completely changed. I miss the survival days of first 4 and 1/2 seasons.
The walking dead comics were some of the best things to go through my teenage years with
Did Dayrl just kill the guy and take his cigarette? Ezekiel couldve been oscar winner actor a hundred times over in that world. Inspirational. So was Michonnes to Carl. Reminiscent of how she lifted Rick when his hope was failing preAlexandria.

OH SNAP... here we go :D It's finally back
"I would have shot his leg the second he moved" ME TOO CALVIN!! ME TOO!!
Calvin is like a young George Clooney, and has the best facial hair out of all the Blind Wave crew
I like what Calvin said about Ricks death vision. That would be cool to see a scene where Ricks life flashes befoe him and then.. poof.... whats this?... the future? So this isnt the end?!? I havent watched TWD since like season 4 or 5 and I was really surprised to see that the priest is still alive.
Yeah he changed a lot
PayJ if u want to catch up u can literally skip season 6
digital _id4 Why skip season 6? It's debatably the best season of the shows entire run. That's just blind hatred talking.
I didn't find one season to be any better or worse then any other.
We pissing our pants yet?!
no because negan is corny, not scary.
Wise Wolf Tony He talks too much and talking is not scary. The things that he says are stupid and not clever. One dimensional villains are boring, not interesting. The writers should have fleshed him out a bit early on as to make him more compelling. He does the same, stupid lean back body language every time he talks. Rick speeches are my favorite..but now Maggie is giving amazing speeches.. oh lawd.. I love it all.
Great anaylsis. Glad to see you didn't have those lame 100th episode expectations. 😄
DaBaba85 I really don't understand why you guys think the speeches were good.
Such an underrated episode!!
I just think Rick is imagining what could be......
Or a time skip is coming.
I really hope not, unless this is the last season. I avoid spoilers, so I have no idea how many more seasons they have planned for the show.
surprised nobody said anything about the weird al "another one rides the bus" during the old rick scene in the beginning
"Well da doy son" LMAO eric rlly loves that Rick and morty line 😂😂😂
dude... sternum. DUDE.... sternum.
The Walking Dead needs to get darker and expand its world faster. Don't they live like 20 minutes outside of D.C? You'd think, if anywhere, the White House would probably be pretty defended. Yay it's up
Damn, that Calvin guy sure is a handsome guy.
They sure have a lof of bullets to waste, and yet they can't shoot Negan and one guy behind a car.
I think the flowers and ricks red eyes are for the death of Michonne. In the visions of the future Judith and Rick have aged but Michonne is still the same.
My Mercy prevails Over my wrath.
Someone else probably commented this but Calvin i think your thinking of Ramsey when Reek was shaving him. Pretty sure Negan just shaved himself during the tour of Alexandria. Ill have to go watch again
Great review.
I brought the brown pants!
You did see Carl..
Well he did tempt rick telling him carl was going to die.
Prepare the brown pants
Lol, Eric's Freudian slip!
Yay, my favorite TWD reactors!!! ❤️
Beer waiting for this all day
Lol been autocorrected to beer 😀
22:35 Negan shaved himself.
Calvin is so handsome. Gotta love price is right rules 😂
Sometimes characters have to have plot armour to advance the story. It doesn't make sense to kill off the main antagonist right now
You think Negan will have a confession session with Gabe and we'll maybe get flash backs of an earlier nicer Negan?
Gabriel should’ve worn the brown pants.
Why would he need a cane if he is imagining it? It did feel like it was meant to look like heaven or a dream because of the lighting.
I still think everybody will die. Rick will be the last one. Dreaming of what could have been. Maybe he is injured at the moment he starts daydreaming about it. Maybe just before he himself dies. I don't know. Next episode please...
Just when things are getting interesting the episode is over.
Damn cliffhangers xD
Walking Dead is good at those :P
not only TWD
The "armored cars" with corrugated steel really annoyed me. A bullet would go straight through that.
Exactly, they just unloaded so many bullets on those windows. smh
man calvin's fuckin handsome
The scenes with old man Rick were flash forwards.
Have they ever mentioned anything about into the badlands before? I mean in my opinion its worth watching. I'm just surprised they have never mentioned it been as how its an AMC original and from the smallville creators.
It kinda seem like there are to futures ... old and happy . or half dying with sun light in his eyes.
I heard Train to Busan 🙌🙌🙌🙌
I just watched episode 1 last night and it was really cool but i honestly throught the season came out like this week but amc app had four episodes. Am i tripping hahahaha
I think red eyed rick is end of season or mid season were he gets shot by Dwights crossbow and he thinks his gonna die cause Morgan died from get hurt by there weapons since negan makes them put zombie blood on there weapons
what
The Dreadfort zombie blood dont affect human blood on TV show, they confirmed it a lot of times. Im thinking they will replace that whit poison in the show
Samotto Rubbing poison on every single weapon aint exactly the easiest thing to find...
can you not put fucking spoilers here?
Calvin is absolutely gorgeous
Your background is cool
I think red eye rick, has been bit and they are gonna go a different way from the comics
How many more seasons do you think the show's going to have?
Well despite the people complaining about the show there is more love for it obviously (I personally love it still) because the show keeps getting outstanding viewing numbers and money. So if it keeps getting those two things it will keep going and hope it does because a,long with GoT this is my other favourite show on TV :)
Does anyone have a link to their outro remixes? I've been looking FOREVER. T_T
Calvin is a splitting image of denzel Washington. All I'm saying is we've never seen them together in the same room... Coincidence?
Josh Bornman you may be onto something....
No.
Calvin is a really handsome guy
WOOOOOOOOOOO!
Liking the shirts.. give me 1!!!
I wish they would've just rolled up and started shooting . No long convos needed to much has happened but it's a show so I get it.
Rick needs to dial down his vengeance thirst, the Savior's aren't amateurs and they're not desperate either. The Savior's are gonna hit back hard in order for Rick or someone else to see that. Point being that are protagonists are way too cocky with all the speeches and sh*t.
what I'd like to know, is where the fuck is negan's so called army?
shane vs negan? but negan is thomas wayne lol and he's batman in flashpoint soooooooo the real question is... punisher vs batman? who would win? haha lol
Weird Al is the best!
10:23 Chestburster
Literally no reason for them to not shoot Negan as soon as he stepped out, no reason for them to waste SO MUCH ammo shooting out the windows AND shooting at the guy with the grenade and zero reason, at this point in his character's development, for the pastor to save Gregory. Where are all the season 7 reactions?
There were some bad writing moments this ep. But overall still a good episode. Having negan come out like he was bulletproof was incredibly stupid, no way to defend that.
Thats just Negan's character. He is so so cocky and arrogant and I think throughout the first half of this season we will see those characteristics leave him.
Is this supposed to be the last season of the walking dead??
Calvin is really handsome.
