Yep, I have them both. My wife has a G-shock Casioak solar in bright yellow lol. Absolutely love them all. The AE1200, I wear it with a Vario fitted leather strap which is ultra comfortable. And for the A500W, mine is the retro gold version. Both are so light weight that I can barely tell I'm wearing a watch. They are very cool.
The only real difference I can surmise myself is durability and aesthetics. The AE-1200 has better water resistance (100m) and a much more informed dial thanks to the faux analog portion. In addition it has a 10 year battery life. The A500W only has a (presumed) 30m of water resistance and a 3 year battery life but has a slightly smaller case.
Hello watching since long time . Actually i was about to purchase a f91w which was my first crush since i was kid it was like a craze in 2010 something . Actually I want to purchase f91w but after seeing multiple videos I want to purchase ae1200 which is 2400rs in inr 29$ which is not affordable for me still . Basically i just watched a f91w video and i remember that i have saw that watch somewhere in my childhood. Now i want to say that should i purchase a first copy of ae1200 300rs 3$ which is cheap or wait for 4 years after my education so i can afford it now i can't . Or should I start saving money for it or purchase duplicate one that's my question . I know it last at least 10 years please clear my doubt

I have both these and both unique in there own way...I do tend to wear the 500 slightly more ..ive a 7.5 wrist and they look fine ...

I have A500 only. As I see AE1200 has non official update kit with metal case and sapphire glass.

On the A500 you can see how much slack is left, and on the AE1200 I removed quite a few links.

The AE1200WH MSRP is $43, the resin band versions are $30. The A500W is around $47 on Amazon here in the US.
