Finally found a Casio that can show time and chrometer at the same time.
I just bought the Casio 1200, but your review would have been very helpful in my decision process. In the end, my preference for more explicit world time functionality reaffirms my choice of the 1200. Thanks for sharing.
For me, I prefer the AE-1200WH

One thing that annoys me is the timer presets that come standard on AE1300 and 1600. Why didnt they add 1,2,5 minute presets? I'm sure those would be much more useful than some of the others, like 12..

The Ae1300 has exactly the same features as the ws1600, just different layouts for the seconds graph.
I dont like the "font" of the 1600, but the rest of it looks pretty cool

I found that the WS1600 was easier. The AE1200 module took a bit of work to align into the black case with tweezers. Could have been just down to me though.

AE1300 and WS1600 are essentially the same watch but with a different display. Go for the one you like the look of. BTW, the WS1600 is less the US $30.
I have and actively rolling the AE 1200, 1300 and just recently the WS 1600. Display wise, I always love the 1300 better, especially because of the dot matrix display that displays letters much better. Im not settled with the triclops though, its kind of ugly. Function wise, my WS1600 is on par with the ae1300 but with better design. I think the AE 1300 and WS 1600 are the more practical one for my daily use, but I wouldn't travel to different time zones without the AE 1200, its really my "GMT" watch.
I really like the ability of the AE1200 to change the home city to another city quickly. This feature is missing in the AE1300 & WS1600.

@@wristaction True, the ability to skip time zones quickly is a really convenient feature when travelling abroad. Really wished the 1300 has it too. The 1200 are designed for travellers.
@@JobyGeorge-rg2fu The dot matrix date/function window sold it for me. Looks more exclusive. I love that the 1600 also use one. Thats also the reason I bought one once its released.

@@Adrian_Ciobanu You are absolutely right. It has the same firmware as the AE1300 and exactly the same features. I'm comparing it to to the AE1200 because it's a fan favourite and well known.

The AE-1200 is my daily driver, great watch. I've modded mine to remove all lettering apart from Casio & WR100M, which makes it look much more clean imo.
I’ve heard about removing the lettering. Did you just use a rubber?
@@wristaction No although I have heard of that method as well as goo-gone. But I used isopropyl alcohol 99.9% & Q-Tips, and then finished off with silicone spray on a cloth to make it pop & more even.
