However later on they discovered that the water springs are now extremely pure and potent in healing (because of Aqua purifying and healing power) so the town hotsprings became even more famous, with the people calling it holy water from then on.
Well, if they follow the light novel timeline, season 4 should cover the "Axel Festival Arc", where they explain that (and other similar spoilery things) and the infamous "Aqua does wear panties but turned them invisible" thing as well

One of the most underrated things about this anime IMO is how they handle the group's friendship/dynamic. It's funny, but also wholesome in a way. For example, Kazuma said "Nah, screw the hotsprings. We're leaving," without a second thought. But when Aqua ran back in there, they looked at Kazuma knowing that he does not have it in him to actually abandon Aqua. That little smile they gave Kazuma and his "reluctant" attitude says a lot about their relationships. KonoSuba has some of my favorite friendships in anime just because it feels more realistic to me. They don't bombard one another with cheesy lines like most other "friendships" in anime. They'd constantly mess with each other 90% of the time, but would be there for each other when it truly counts.
Yeah exactly, it's one of my favorite aspects of the show and it's something that really surprised me. I feel like season 3 showcases their dynamic really well.
The hot springs were likely a natural sulfur hotspring, which they claim has medicinal properties. By purifying it, the medicinal properties were removed meaning the reason for going to a fancy hotspring town is now gone.
If I remember correctly, the purification actually made the water in the town better. It actually gave the water extremely potent holy properties and made the town a lot richer. They just didn’t realize it till later.
@Justin-ui5ti That is true but you only discover that in the written material she turned the hot springs into the worlds most potent holy water, I suspect they will be using that fact as a big reveal near the very end when the Axis Cult helps in the final few chapters right before they assist in neutralizing one of the last Demon King generals because that reveal could ruin the ongoing joke that "no one realizes Aqua is actually a Goddess," that reveal would make it clear that most people actually already know that Aqua is a Goddess and that Kazuma is an otherworlder, heck they realized as soon as Aqua started accidentally purifying every liquid she touched. It is also the same reason why they haven't mentioned that in the world of Konosuba you can only be resurrected once even with the strongest resurrection spells meaning that Kazuma being killed repeatedly and brought back would be outright impossible unless that was his "cheat ability"

@Justin-ui5ti not including Kazuma and Dust trading parties was outright criminal because it really showed that Kazuma even while being "weak" was so useful in utility that it brought an experienced party to tears of joy. They showed it a bit in season 3 with Mitsurgi vs the masked thief but Kazuma was recognized as one of the most dangerous people in the world because he forced water down his throat then froze it to block his airway and basically said "You can either stop me or you can prevent the death of a super powerful otherworlder," all while knowing full well that Mitsurgi was too valuable to lose with the demon army making regular siege attempts. I also think it is a shame that they never gave Chomuske its original personality because it being a lazy cat that hates Aqua and likes baths was actually a major plot point for later in the story.

I love how Kazuma was thinking of Hans as a slime from the Dragon Quest video games, which are extremely popular in Japan possibly even more than Final Fantasy. In Dragon Quest slimes are typically among the first enemies you fight so are very weak. Then when he’s like a jellyfish, he is a type of Dragon Quest slime after all. Though the jellyfish slimes are typically healer slimes

In the game slime : isekai memories there is a collab between konosuba and slime where they fight and join force later in story... Kazuma and rimuru had an ultimate skill which kazuma use snipe and rimuru amplify it... The funny part is megumin can only do 1 ultimate skill explosion and then being completely useless next turn lying around after the attack lol... The damage is powerful tho

Even if it isn't true that they provide health benefits, such elements change the water's flavour, scent, etc. People will often pay more for water like that - it adds a kind of exclusivity. So Aqua removing the trace elements changes the axis cult's water, and in at least the short term damages their economy because the main draw of the town is the quality of their water - as might be expected of a town that venerates a water goddess.
Hot springs have mineral water. You can think of it as naturally occurring bath salts. Axis cult is important because they are zealots. Like in many fantasy settings, clerics and paladins need a certain degree of faith to be able to draw divine power from their deity. For all the good that she does, Eris is unable to inspire sufficient zealotry to mass produce clerics and paladins. Aqua does.
Hot spring have special minerals in their water, some even have medical properties, that’s what makes them different from showers and bathtubs, in this case, aqua purified the hot springs into just regular water, just like she does to coffee, tea…and darkness’s grape juice. 😂😂😂😂
Aqua revived some of the fallen in the fight against the Dullahan. Its right before Darkness laments for former party members that had been mean to her, only to be embarrassed that they heard her saying it. You get a true site of Wiz and the power she holds that gave her the right to be a general in the devil kings army. Shes no joke. Explosion magic doesn't even seem to be her baddest game over with the ice prison spell. This series does a great job of showing real friendship. A bit antiagonistic and playful at times, but always there to help.

So after this should come the OVA of season 2 with Darkness having the chance of getting 2 wonderful toys and someone surprising ruining it oc. After that the movie and season 3, they are in straight continuation after season 2 and should go in chronological order.

Kazuma's ability is his Intelligence and Luck stats. He made a plan, it was a foolish plan with many ways to go wrong, but it WAS a plan, and HE made it, so LUCKily, it worked out fine. You'll notice Megumin's plans, despite being as intelligent as Kazuma, don't tend to work out as well. Aqua, with no intellect OR luck, her plans... aren't really existent, but when they are, they fall apart instantly.
I think my favorite part of this season is the small throwaway joke about how Aqua can't serve tea because it turns into hot water becomes a major plot point.

wizz is the perfect example of how to write an appealing likeable powerful female characters and i hope western shows someday try to copy the style of writing that some anime girls have.
So you can watch the second ova then the konosuba movie then season 3. The ova, like the first is just kinda vaguely within the seasons. The movie is actuallt after season 2 and season 3 directly continues the movie.
Aqua was able to revive Kazuma because he was not fully digested. He was digested down to bones in a short period of time but enough of him remained that Aqua could bring him back. The other person had been missing for a lot longer leading my to believe they must of been fully digested and no means for Aqua to revive them because there was nothing left to revive.

I believe it was said Aqua turned her underwear invisible so creepy men couldn’t get a peak of her underwear due to her short skirt. She felt it was a modesty issue, not a prank. It’s really only a thing in the anime. Aqua is drawn with underwear in the light novel.
Remember that Wiz is not even at full power here, she is considerably weakened. Also Wiz backstory is actually really out of place for how tragic it is compared to the rest of the story.
Aqua's underwear being invisible or not there isn't fully canon, in the LN art she wears striped blue and white underwear which is much more lame than what the anime has been doing, so... Everyone including me chooses to believe that she doesn't wear any or she wears invisible ones
OVA, then the Movie, then Season 3. Then, should be just in time for the next 2 special OVA coming March 2025 The hot springs in myth have magical properties. In science they have various minerals and other things, so by Aqua purifying the springs they lose all the minerals, so they become simple water, thus lacking the "rejuvinating" properties. The minerals will return, it just takes time, since it needs to be replenished by the source of the springs (i.e. geothermal) The idea of slimes being super weak is from Dragon Quest (I think thats it) where they are the lowest level enemy. The fact they are not easy is actually more of a western thing from Dungeons and Dragons, as they are not a simple enemy to deal with since they are strong against physical attacks, not something a novice party could handle, and Hans was the strongest type and likely the strongest of those. Given Kazuma and his party have very little magic attacks, outside of the once a day nuke of Megumin, its a really bad enemy. Then they tacked on the poison aspect. While Slims in Dungeons and Dragons aren't nearly as powerful as they show here, its just the over the top aspect of the series. For Aqua's underwear, I don't know if its canon. But i've heard she makes it invisible so guys can't peek at her underwear, being too stupid to realize that now they would just peek at her parts instead.

I believe it was said Aqua turned her underwear invisible so creepy men couldn’t get a peak of her underwear due to her short skirt. She felt it was a modesty issue, not a prank. It’s really only a thing in the anime. Aqua is drawn with underwear in the light novel.
In the novels, Kazuma doesn't die here, and the fight is a lot less eventful. Kazuma dies a lot more in the anime than the novels. lol
Remember that Wiz is not even at full power here, she is considerably weakened.
Also Wiz backstory is actually really out of place for how tragic it is compared to the rest of the story.

Aqua's underwear being invisible or not there isn't fully canon, in the LN art she wears striped blue and white underwear which is much more lame than what the anime has been doing, so... Everyone including me chooses to believe that she doesn't wear any or she wears invisible ones

The hot springs in myth have magical properties. In science they have various minerals and other things, so by Aqua purifying the springs they lose all the minerals, so they become simple water, thus lacking the "rejuvinating" properties. The minerals will return, it just takes time, since it needs to be replenished by the source of the springs (i.e. geothermal)
The idea of slimes being super weak is from Dragon Quest (I think thats it) where they are the lowest level enemy. The fact they are not easy is actually more of a western thing from Dungeons and Dragons, as they are not a simple enemy to deal with since they are strong against physical attacks, not something a novice party could handle, and Hans was the strongest type and likely the strongest of those. Given Kazuma and his party have very little magic attacks, outside of the once a day nuke of Megumin, its a really bad enemy. Then they tacked on the poison aspect. While Slims in Dungeons and Dragons aren't nearly as powerful as they show here, its just the over the top aspect of the series.
For Aqua's underwear, I don't know if its canon. But i've heard she makes it invisible so guys can't peek at her underwear, being too stupid to realize that now they would just peek at her parts instead.
