What this deck needs is speed, aggression and some versatility, and I believe Modern Horizons and War of the Spark have provided us with the potential. Stitcher's Supplier for faster milling, Carrion Feeder as a better sac outlet and an alternative plan. Blast Zone, combined with the new sweet Lotus Field and Life from the Loam (which I believe might be one of the best cards for this deck). These lands and Life from the Loam will allow us to play 4x Gemstone mines. Some fetches, shocks and basics and I think we have a perfect mana base. A MUST card is Aether Vial! Since all of our creatures cost 1 and 2 and this acceleration is absolutely vital. Just imagine having a Carrion Feeder and three Zuberas on turn 3, generate massive card advantage immediately and have a 4/4 attacker that'll only grow bigger. I'll give it a try myself certainly. I've really searched for all the best milling cards and options (Hedron Crab for example). Sadly there's still no viable way to revive the Rallies and Ranks from the bin. Codex Shredder would've been sweet if it milled 2 instead of 1, Golgari Thug plus Eternal Witness is slow... So, flooding the board with Zuberas and attacking with a Carrion feeder feels like a good plan B.
Ive been playing 5 color zuberas since Saffron Olive played the list last year because Kamigawa was my first set and ive always had a soft spot for these guys. I never liked the bloodthrone vampires and ended up swapping them for 2 greater gargodons and then went down a grisly salvage and the 2 gather the packs for fathless lootings because my two big issues were finding a rally and having the burn zubera stuck in my hand. I also went a bit greedy with the mana base and had gemstone mines for 5 color mana replacing unclaimed territory cause very rarely are you wanting to cast your zuberas. Did this make for a greedier mana base since im now solidly 4 colors (non-blue) instead of 3 colors (Abzan base)? Yes. However it made for so many more combo offs cause i had a sac outlet they couldnt interact with in greater gargodon (as well as a big beater when it inevitably came down) and i went from having almost no 1 mana plays to a 1 mana play every game (either faithless looting/gargodon/or Viscera Seer) which let me get going a lot quicker and have a lot bigger turn 4s going off
Those were some good options that I found as well but as you've probably noticed they don't combine well with the reviving spells. I'd love it if you give your opinion about my suggestions above.
I've been experimenting with five-color Zuberas in Pauper for a while and I love the archetype, I'd love to build it in Modern but the mana base seems crazy expensive. Which is to say, Caverns are expensive. If I ever get a deal on Caverns I'll definitely give it a shot! Now that we have Unearth and Carrion Feeder basically the whole pauper deck is now Modern legal but with real mana and Rally.
@@MerynMTG but narset is one mana more expensive, dig only for specific cards, you need to show it, it is sorcery speed, in general it is way weaker, but I agree narset is still hella strong and the passive is annoying

FYI, Thalia doesn’t make you cast rally for 1 extra, you can cast for 1 less and Thalia makes you cast with the right x. If I remember correctly
Thalia doesn't increase or decrease the value of X. She makes Rally cost X1WW, you announce X before you cast it and pay X + 3 mana in total.

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen Jund in so long.

No longer support you due to Pride emblem. Nobody should have pride.
You mean the rainbow? It's to indicate we're playing a five color deck.
@@MerynMTG makes sense, as long as you don't have pride.
@@broush42 Homophobic in 2019 huh?
Nice way to misinterpret. Against pride, in any form.
