Very nice ship, worthy of a brave captain and crew

Unusual design, but not hard on the eyes. I think the strong dorsal spine, and the nacelle placements gives the ship some character. Nice work!

Pretty smooth. Many videos, the background stars seem to flicker while the ships have antialaising. Stars a post effect? Can be fixed by changing pixel size or filter settings?

you missed the idea that the third nacelles makes the saucer section warp capable…. not well thought out

That's the regular Federation Class dreadnoughts. On the Foley Class the Third Nacelle is designed to disengage from the secondary hull and link up with the Primary hull at a connection point between the impulse engines for emergency use during saucer separations, This is how the Original U.S.S. Foley narrowly escaped total destruction during a Klingon attack, leaving behind only the primary hull and dorsal nacelle.

@@DelcoRanz93, that makes absolutely no sense. Anything that requires the Foley to separate from the secondary hull is not going to allow time for the third nacelle to “link up” between the impulse engines. It should be already physically attached to the saucer because as Kilroy’s law states, “anything that can go wrong, will”. You’ve just over complicated things. As Scotty said, “the more they overthink the plumbing…”

The top-side nacelle should be on the primary hull....

I only saw this in a twin engine design.. I guess the third nacelle is intended to increase the top speed of the ship. And was necessary as a further later refit! Turning her into a light dreadnought class of ship. Hmm - increasing the size of Engineering to decrease the shuttle bay in size and cargo resources also reduced. I think that the double nacelle version is wiser. A third nacelle is unnecessary and overextended the shields for protection of the third nacelle..

Looks a bit ungainly. Not a good look overall.
