In my imagination, the aurora exploding would wake this thing up from its slumber in the void, being the only thing in the world loud enough to wake it up. It thinks the explosion is something huge that it can feast on, so it starts looking for it. Every so often you'd get a warning bellow, which would mean it's on its way over from the void. You'd get another bellow when it made its way into the crater, at which point you'd have to take refuge in the caves where it couldn't reach you. It wouldn't seek you out directly, but you would *not* want to be in its way as it makes its way across the crater, being large enough to swallow a cyclops whole. After a bit, it heads back into the void. You're safe...for now. Would be cool for it to be something that just occasionally makes a pass across the game world, you'd avoid it like a reaper, but on a much larger scale.

Hi everyone! As of this video, I will be helping with the sounds, obviously they're gonna use Simon's legendary roars, and all sounds he made (My support to him) and I will be helping with idles, growls, bite sounds and possibly the baby.
Honestly between you and Simon, I prefer yours since the deep lower pitch that is applied fits well with such a large creature. While Simon's roars are epic in their own right, I think these sound files suit the Gargantuan Leviathan better.
I like these roses for the gargantuan since it really conveys the scale of the thing, being able to hop over the auroa and still have a good chunk of it in the void. But simon’s roars are iconic and gives that “ok screw this” feeling for some reason
I mean I am not one to compare, Simon is an amazingly talented dude, and I'm so glad they brought him on to do the sounds of the the big guy, and I'm more than happy that they used my other sounds (The growls, rumbles etc)
I'd like to imagine that when you are going through the void if you go far enough your PDA will say "detecting large biological entity. Turning back is advised"
0:13 Imagine your swimming in a deep dark ocean and you see 2 very big eyes red eyes and the shadowy body of a colossal behemoth passing by you in the far distance. And then when it disappears into the dark abyss… this growling noise can be heard.
You are in deep abyss You saw nothing but hear a ferocious roar It sounds like a big monster roar You are nervous You open sonar You see a never ending tail after you open your sonar. Subnautica is beautiful
Wow, didn't expect to see you man! I would love to depending on what it is, though I am on a little hiatus, I could give it a try, what were you looking for?
The real reason why scientists think strange sounds in the sea come from ice-bergs, is because they are too afraid to admit what really lurks down in the deep….
Honestly what’s interesting about this is that these sounds are pretty realistic to how an organism that size would sound to our ears. Because of the lower sonic register it would likely be operating in due to its sheer size, we would hear it as an impossibly deep, almost vibrating sound that rattles our very existence
Okay, the art alone is enough to give me nightmares... Seriously though, that art is absolutely stunning. It captures the horror the sounds convey, and it fits so well! That's insane.
Subnautica isn't really scary for me due to my overwhelming curiosity about the creatures (including the Reaper Leviathan) there is only ONE creature by far that does scare me though....
Imagine swimming with your cyclope into completly dark location where you can barley see somthing then suddenly you'r cyclopse start to glitch.Later you see tons of skeletons of various leviathans and suddenly you hear this 1:00
Dunno why I made this but okkk... You are tasked with gathering deep-sea minerals and plants to examine in the lab. You yawn as the intercom speakers crackle “Y/N is wanted in North Docking. You grab your flippers and helmet, gathering them as you pace quickly down the ladder and into the launching area. A huge, floor-to-ceiling glass window meets you. The dark ocean pulses with light from the distant sky above. A whale shark basks in the distance. You put on your flippers and helmet as another scientist wishes you the best of luck. You smile and clench your teeth, hiding the nervous twitches. You stare around the large room; Lights dangle above you, the huge round, sleek room rising around them. A large pool sits in the center; this was the docking area. Your small sub awaited you, quietly bobbing in the dark water. You walk foward and step into it, closing the tight hatch behind you. You step foward, gazing around the beautiful marine collector. She was pretty, sleek with dark metal that provided a kind of coziness as the small glass windshield rose around the front of the underwater vehicle. You sit down on the small but comfy chair, taking hold of the joystick. You press your hand into the recognition power button. The vehicle hummed to life. A dim blue light flicked on above your head. You jerked the joystick excitedly as the sub swayed foward, into the dark ocean. You headed down, down, down into one of the narrow underwater canyons. The blue light above your head slowly dimmed, but the control panel still glowered blue. The sub lowered into the canyon. You tapped a button on your left, then one to the right. A large metal claw extended from the right. You grabbed a second joystick, opening the claw. You clicked a third button at the center of the panel. A bright light flickered on, casting a yellow beam into the canyon wall. The claw bent foward, carefully wrapping its fingers around a watershroom. It tugged it off, lowering the small plant into a pouch. You blinked once. The plant- and arm- was vibrating softly. So was the control panel- the whole sub was shuddering as if a tsunami was barreling overhead. You set the shroom onto the pouch, directing the sub around to see what the commotion was. You stared into the ocean. A slow flood of panic filled you mind. The sub was nose-to-nose with a absolutely massive snake-like creature. It opened its gargantuan mouth, growling a low rumble that echoed across the ocean. It let out a piercing shriek, tentacle-like brown wavy protrusions blinking red and blue. The huge beast flowed past the tiny sub, rumbling again. The leviathan shrieked, floating around the sub as if playing with you. It suddenly surged upwards, growling and flicking its tentacles. Your petrified gaze traveled over its gargantuan serpent-like body. It towered over the seamounts and canyons, valley and cliffs. The rest of its body floundered into the oceanic darkness, only its glowing bioluminescence lighting its huge body and tail. It seemed to wrap around the whole world. The creature shrieked yet again, it’s vast, cold but wise eyes eyeing the sun before plunging into the darkness, rumbling and growling. The hissed slowly faded, aswell as the distant lights of its glowy tentacles. You stayed frozen for at least a minute, mesmerized. You could have stayed there for hours. You grabbed the joystick at last, directing the sun back towards the base hurriedly.
if you listen closely at 0:06 to 0:08 you can hear a slight gasp from a human, likely from the TEENY human at the top of the picture (yes, that is what that tiny light is and what the giant water worm of death is looking at)
Possible pda alerts for this creature When your nearby(within 500 meters): Warning, detecting life form of unprecedented size, turn back immediately Within 200 meters: Warning, lifeform measures in at around 2000 meters, avoid detection at all costs, though turning back is fully recommended Once it aggros: warning, creature approaching at high speed, your fate is sealed
You know a lot of people might be unaware that a sperm whale's sonar clicks are actually so loud that it can shred your muscles by the shear vibratory factor if you endure too much of it. Just imagine what something that big roaring would do to you... also just my opinion but if you go back to the giant skeleton before sea dragon. You may notice like I did. That the head has an orientation that either implies that the creature has a reverse anatomy where the head goes away from the opening of the ribs. Or if you dream big like me then you say that something much larger must've twisted it's head 180 degrees. Ending it's existence... anybody else notice that and agree/disagree???
Would just like to point out, aside from the creature being 1500m in length, in the art, that is a CYCLOPS. You can tell by the 3 lights. That's actually creepy.
Believe me, when the mod comes out to public, my god you feel puny when this thing is near you, it's even worse in VR, which I unfortunately exposed myself to.
Basically this is what i'm gonna tell u the story that i dream last night. Really Terrifying Nightmare i've Experienced In My Life and now i'm scared of oceans.
Man your dream is so beautiful give me By the way I would be scared but I always wanted to see something big swimming in the ocean and or hear but this could never happen because something like this big is impossible tho live on oure planet.
OK so I was messing around Nautica in creative mode obviously and I went down to the void in my seamoth and I actually went past everything and went underneath the map and went down to 5000 m and all I could think about was it would be a really damn good place for the gargantuan Leviathan
I absolutely adore this kind of stuff. Indescribably massive creatures, so large they can be seen clearly from space, dwelling below a seemingly lifeless ocean. That’s good horror.
I miss being able to swim in open water and not imagine subnautica creatures under me. And btw im not kidding, this game gave me irrational and irreversible fear of open water

In reality, if these were real roars your eardrums would pop from the size of this creature.
Good thing it's Subnautica. Meaning it's *not* real
Nah the sheer energy of the vibrations would rupture your internal organs and you'd die pretty quickly
not just your eardrums. From a close enough distance, this thing could crush you like a soda can just by roaring at you.

This thing sounds massive
@@paperclip6377 It is massive. It can eat a cyclops whole.
@@aztumtheknightofwumbo7060 awsome
You say this but the team literally has a team member that is abusive towards other rejects help and calls other n*zis because he doesn't like them
I like these roses for the gargantuan since it really conveys the scale of the thing, being able to hop over the auroa and still have a good chunk of it in the void.
Just imagine setting up your base in the dunes and you hear THAT in the distance
Me: abort mission abort mission
*Are you sure whatever you're doing is worth it?*
i would never go back to the dunes
*second sound plays* ...t-that's no r-reaper...
I'd like to imagine that when you are going through the void if you go far enough your PDA will say "detecting large biological entity. Turning back is advised"
"Detecting Titan class sized life form. Turning back is asvised."
“Detecting colossus type entity go back immediately”
"You are ready to die?"
i knew you made the leviathan's roars!!
It doesn't sound at all like the ones in the mod tho
Not the current ones, but the mod creator's asking about it based on what's further up in the comment section. Mod creator is UltravioletMango
0:13 Imagine your swimming in a deep dark ocean and you see 2 very big eyes red eyes and the shadowy body of a colossal behemoth passing by you in the far distance. And then when it disappears into the dark abyss… this growling noise can be heard.
Somebody should warn IGP before he regrets everything
He already regretted everything when he met this bad boy a week ago xD

You saw nothing but hear a ferocious roar
It sounds like a big monster roar
You are nervous
You open sonar
You see a never ending tail after you open your sonar.

Wow, didn't expect to see you man! I would love to depending on what it is, though I am on a little hiatus, I could give it a try, what were you looking for?
in all seriousness though, these are some fucking terrifying noises.
Especially At The 1 Minute Mark, Little Heart Attack In A Cup Right There
Imagine diving in the deep sea and hear something like this
*Objective: Survive*
True objective: *Realise your a dead man*
I would be ksi screaming

Imagine in real life you were just wearing a dive suit and was exploring the sea then out of nowhere you saw 6 red eyes stiring straight at your soul
I would die from a heart attack before it even tries to eat me
The real reason why scientists think strange sounds in the sea come from ice-bergs, is because they are too afraid to admit what really lurks down in the deep….
Honestly what’s interesting about this is that these sounds are pretty realistic to how an organism that size would sound to our ears. Because of the lower sonic register it would likely be operating in due to its sheer size, we would hear it as an impossibly deep, almost vibrating sound that rattles our very existence
yes
Okay, the art alone is enough to give me nightmares...
Seriously though, that art is absolutely stunning. It captures the horror the sounds convey, and it fits so well! That's insane.

You grabbed the joystick at last, directing the sun back towards the base hurriedly.
if you listen closely at 0:06 to 0:08 you can hear a slight gasp from a human, likely from the TEENY human at the top of the picture (yes, that is what that tiny light is and what the giant water worm of death is looking at)
If researchers hear this in the ocean, they're gonna say that is a ice Berg to hopefully deny the impending doom to our world 👁👄👁
Looking at how the sea moth is legit a speck on the picture!!? This thing should remain extinct
"Wow icebergs make scary sounds"
*"Wait...."*
If I'm swimming somewhere in the ocean and hear this 1:00 I will immediately break my own neck
We are not letting that thing take us alive
Possible pda alerts for this creature
When your nearby(within 500 meters): Warning, detecting life form of unprecedented size, turn back immediately
Within 200 meters: Warning, lifeform measures in at around 2000 meters, avoid detection at all costs, though turning back is fully recommended
Once it aggros: warning, creature approaching at high speed, your fate is sealed
That should be added
The fact that sound travels a lot further underneath water and is a lot louder makes this even more terrifying.

I sh*t you not I was playing relaxing piano music to help me fall asleep and this played next this scared the living hell out of me
I miss being able to swim in open water and not imagine subnautica creatures under me. And btw im not kidding, this game gave me irrational and irreversible fear of open water
The thing is, if this was real, it probably wouldn't even think to attack you, cause it's so frickin huge!
