Agreed. The c6 body is flawless. The c7 is great, but it looks like a feminine version of the c6. Like it's the c6's twin sister. The c8 is futuristic and I love the damn thing, but it just doesn't look like a Corvette. No hate on the c8 though, I'd get one in a hot minute if I could afford it. These c8 lights on the c6 look amazing.
I want to say, I truly like the new lights. I ordered mine and I install them. I will say this, though I watch the installation process that you all have awesome however, I removed the top bolts under the hood from the front of the fender, the tabs under the wheel well And I was able to reach my hand under the wheel well, and unscrew those three bolts that hold the light down, and I was able to pull the lights out without removing the fender and the two bolts on the side of the fender underneath the wheel well, I didn’t have to remove those light came out very easy, so the bumper does not have to be removed at all. It was very easy I just pulled up on the fender, pulled up on the front bumper a little bit got my hand on it. I lift up the light and it came right out.
Sure would like a comparison test of 5.75" LED 5006 / 5001 for classic Vets and others. You posted somewhere the choices are few, but I come up with jillions when I Google upgrades. Thanks
Just ordered these GTR C6 headlamps for my 09 ZO6. Just confirming cause you mentioned it. If I just plug and play and do not utilize the auxiliary fuse box wiring, that I WILL get the amber top led as my daytime running lamp?? In other words if I simply instal and plug in that the amber led strip light on top will illuminate amber when car is running during the day? I like the amber light on top. Thanks for this and taking questions.
They come with plug and play to the light. They don’t come with the DRL harness. If y’all know where to get the DRL harness put place and number.thanks
Just had these beautiful C8 style headlights installed today. In your opinion, would it be ok to use Meguiar"s Headlight Protectant to add extra protection or would it lessen the UV protection it already has?
Another great concept, however, here's my biggest gripe with LED headlight assemblies (or retrofits for that matter). For those of us living in northern winter-prone climates it is essential to have functional headlights during heavy snow/sleet. And by this I mean that whenever LED headlight lenses get caked up with snow, sleet, or ice, it becomes nearly impossible to see as the light output exponentially decreases and the beam pattern gets distorted into a spot light. What I would ideally love to see is companies like Morimoto and GTR Lighting coming up with a lens-defrosting technology for assemblies like this. Now I do realize there are the 2 Stroke 3.0 or LED sealed beams with heating elements but I'm talking of a less primitive, more integrated technology.
Did you guys really measure the stock output through the foggiest lens ever seen on a C6? That makes the percentage gain seem a bit snake-oily. Test the output on a low mile or clear lens C6 and see the difference then. The output on my C6 is exponentially brighter than what you show. It also looks like there is a film on the driver's side headlight as bubbles can be seen on the outer edge of the lens.
We tested on what the average C6 headlight looks like. We've had several in our shop and any C6 that actually gets driven has lights that look exactly like the ones shown here.
With so many cars moving to LED lights, what will actually happen when the LEDs degrade or burn out, on any brand of light? Surely they can’t expect you to throw away the whole headlight?
@@HeadlightRevolution 😭 thats so sad… Imagine buying a used Mercedes in 10 years, and the only issue is that it has a light burned out… only to discover that the whole light/module has to be replaced; costing 3x more than the car is worth. I’d cry 🥲

Ah, yes, the classic 'Made in China' concern - understandable! But let's be real, whether it's phones, TVs, or half the gadgets in your home, lots of high-quality stuff comes from there. As for the lenses, they’ll last as long as your love for squinting at oncoming traffic allows 😉. And when they do go 'south,' no need to panic - replacements are always available. Now, if you're planning to treat your Corvette like a garage queen, those lenses might last a lifetime just sitting pretty! Either way, we've got your back when it's time for a refresh.
@@HeadlightRevolution I have left the connection as is (no fuse). My amber DRLs don’t activate while driving. I have switched to/from auto headlight settings several times. That does nothing as well. I prefer the amber DRLs over the white. Is this a common issue? Where am I going wrong? Thanks.

I love these lights but to spend $1500 on a set of lights that you can't replace the bulb in and only a 2 year warranty; seems like a big gamble. Would like to see the manufacturer offer a much longer warranty, at least 5 years like Morimoto.

I want to say, I truly like the new lights. I ordered mine and I install them. The C8s headlights shape resembles a lot like the C6 so this is perfect. I'm happy for the C6 bros

That's what the warranty is for, if you have an issue like that you're covered!

How do you get the drl to be amber instead of white?
The amber is for turn signals, hazards, etc. They do not have a full-time Amber DRL

If your vehicle has auto headlights, this feature will still work. If it does not, these lights will not add that feature.

So if you don’t install the fuse connection, headlights will illuminate amber as DRLs instead of white as DRLs? Is this correct?
Until you turn on the headlights, then the white DRL will activate.

I think the Morimotos look better on the C6. These look kinda off to me. Plus I don't like that yellow corner side marker inside them.
