Eh I mean they're crazy, but the aftermarket support a c6z has is unmatched. Easily can make 600whp+. And a 600whp c6z is more than 600whp in the c8z. It's so light and the gearing is perfect for it. Some coil overs, sway bars and bigger front tires and it's a force to be recon with. And it sounds Hella better.
I recently bought a mint Black C6 Z06 with 29K miles and sent it off to have the LS7 valve prob fixed but then I decided to go all Texas speed and it’s now a 700 plus HP Monster 427. And it still gets 20 mpg. These Z06’s are the last of the big CI naturally aspirated street killers, Corvette rules.
Got an 08 with 12k miles completely built max effort N/A front to back and a full America state on E. It makes crazy power and gets looks and compliments and every light. Love these cars.
That is an absolutely fantastic setup! My car has a very similar configuration, and I reach about 161 mph at half-mile racing events. In my opinion, the platform is clearly the best for more analog cars. It stands up incredibly well against new cars with turbo or supercharging, double clutch, etc. Congratulations to the owner, and nice job LMR.

Interesting that the e-85 gave it such a little HP boost compared to what I've heard about on the boosted c7 zo6. I know that boosted engines make a lot more but to do new fuel injectors, fuel pump, flex sensor, and tune to go from 591 to 607 hp seems like a waste. What am I missing. Curious since I'm planning to do this on my boosted c7.
Hell yes I still like this platform. LMR's version of this Z06 is hands down the best. There are a few companies doing this but, not as professionally done. Their cars aren't as fast and their builds not as neat and tidy. You guys have it down.

I’m curious what it revs to. It’s a dream that I have to get a C5 or C6 ZO6 and do an N/A build not necessarily focused on power, more just being a screamer that loves to rev. Like 7.5k to 8k if its possible and safe would fit my idea perfectly
You can do that, my C5 Z06 is a 402 CI totally built LS2 making 650 HP and it gets RPM’s instantly over 7000, but you have to really build the engine or your going to have an expensive grenade.
Good question my LS7 was guaranteed to be over 700HP but it’s got a monster cam along with multiple other things. Mine hasn’t been a grenade yet, and the valve problem got fixed. It’s a monster and still gets 20 MPG.
C6 to me are the best looking Z’s.

Didn't the Z06/LS7 come with 600+ HP stock though? The LS3 came with 420+HP in the C6. Stage 2 with a 103 throttle body is crazy too!...

You should at least get the valve prob fixed, from what I’ve heard it can happen at any milage or not at all, it’s a coin toss.
