@@jamesw.6931 I wouldn't call it running it into the ground. I'd call it taking life by the horns and using the car for what it's best for, namely making memories. @jamesw.6931 I put 80+k miles on a c5, it did put a lot of wear and tear on it, but I wouldn’t have traded that experience for anything, worth every second to use a ‘special’ car everyday, the amount of unnecessary acceleration, 100+mph runs, rev match downshifts just on my commute to work, was incredible. 10 outta 10 recommend stacking the miles

My "test drive" was from his house to his bank to deposit the check. 13 hours...it was flawless and the longest I ever went in a car without having back pain. My only challange was I needed to start to fill up when it got down to 1/4 trip. She is thirsty and would go through gas faster than one think. I still have her and love everything about it.

My buddy & I have made the drive to Fairbanks from Oregon three times since 2015. We had all of our stuff packed into my VW TDi sportwagon, including two extra spare tires on the last trip (we were thinking of driving up the Dempster to Tuk, but didn't). It's a great drive, imprssive scenery and the TDi was a good vehicle for that trip (i.e., cheap to operate).

Back in the 70s there was a road going in in the winter , and ferry's in the summer . The road was built over top of multiple lakes and rivers . Last I heard they actually made it so you can drive the whole way since then . Average winter snowfall of 24 ft , and my dad owned a Ski-Doo dealership .

"Especially in a Corvette?" The Corvette is one of the more comfortable cars out there. At least beginning with C5. And you are correct, the Corvette is just a car. Drive it! I put about 10K a year on mine, only because I live in Michigan and I get stuck in snow. I used to drive with a snow shovel in the back, but finally relented and put it away once the snow started falling. I know a lot of people who have garage queen Corvettes and Porsches. That's stupid. But it's not only cars, people are that way about guitars, too! They'll buy an expensive guitar but be afraid to play it.

Hello sir, I am a manufacturer of car navigation screens. We have currently developed the Corvette C6 screen and have tested it on vehicles in China, and the situation is very good. But I am concerned that there may be differences in some parts of overseas cars, so I would like to install and test them overseas. For this product, we currently offer a very favorable price. Would you be interested in joining us and helping us provide feedback on its situation?
