This was sooo useful brother, thank you for making this one. Just picked up an Avata 2
I really love your channel, you make incredibly good videos, keep up the good work mate!
In the future would you consider to make videos about editing, color grading etc? Just about the post-work stuff. 🎉
I bought the Avata 2 for Real Estate videography, which requires flying inside and outside during a home fly through. Any setting recommendations for indoor/outdoor flying?
Thanks man for the awesome and well explained video. I'm about to order the DJI Avata 2 I am new to this and your video made a lot of things clear to me for the initial setup settings. Again thanks
Hi Danny, great video as always! I’d like to challenge you to make a video using the Avata 2 in sport mode with the motion controller 3. The goal would be to capture smooth action cinematic footage as close as possible to the excellent videos you produce with FPV drones in manual mode. I'm interested in buying the Avata 2 and would love to see its full capabilities demonstrated by a pro like you using the motion controller 3. Keep up the great work!
There are many videos around demonstrating this. I have flown MC2 and MC3 for a couple years and think it is a better way to get more smooth cinematic footage. Sure you can't do epic dives, but don't often need to.
Love the videos! What are your thoughts on DJI Refresh Care? Have you used it? How was the experience with the support team? Thanks!
Thanks for all the setting recommendations! Have you ever had issues with connection flying with the motion controller? I have the latest firmware but it still manages to lose signal pretty easily flying behind some trees, big boulders/island rocks? Im trying to figure out if i am missing anything here or if it just has better connection to the remote controller.
Hey mate great video - wondering on suggestions - I do live stream drifting with the Avata 2 - however I also want to do post video .. what could I do - so it dont look so bad for the stream but also can be edited post
Thanks for the video. I've been trying to figure out why the videos coming out weren't HDR. Turns out if you have stabilization on and are recording at 60 fps then footage isn't HDR. You either have to turn off the stabilization or reduce frame rate to 30 to get it to record HDR.
Just got one. Thanks for sharing this video! Also, cool name 😊
Are you sure 1/60s Shutter is so good? At the end of the vid in the mountains there is a lot of Jitter because of 1/60s. I think 90 degree instead of 180 degree is better isnt it?
Thanks Danny, I'll apply these settings to my avata 2 as well and try to fly it :D I just have the motion controller. Is it possible to shoot like you with this?
Just stick to auto focus. Watch Ted Nemeth video "How to COMPLETELY Transform Your Cinematic DRONE Footage" You will also get worst latency using 30fps in goggles. Mads Tech has done extensive testing on this (see video "DJI Avata 2 O4 FPV Latency" from Jun 11).
Is it better to have motion controller or RC controller? For smoothness and tricks?
Dude you flew Shiprock!!! My neck of the woods
thank you, finally!
One setting you didn't talk about was Color Display assist do you have yours on?
Danny! Hey I have a question for you. I have found expo settings on my Avata (1) that work really well for me for cinematic flight and shots. . I just bought the DJI FPV drone and am wondering if the exact same settings will give me the same results on the FPV drone? and for that matter on the Avata 2 also? Thanks for any info you can give me.

Hello, what kind of tool do you use for post-production?
great video - I just got the Avata 2 - I have the motion controller. It appears that you can't dive with the motion controller or you can go to manual mode to get to 60mph. Is that correct?
When u fly indoors and out for instance real estate do you stay in manual exposure or change to auto
curious about your NAS setup?
So what's the best mic for vlog?
thanks for sharing
I followed the video but When I try fly split S, at the end of it, it seems try to force the drone to return the normal position. I feel like it is a safety feature. Not sure how to fix that.
Might as well switch to imperial units while you're in there.
Why do I only have Status, Album, Transmission and Settings and not the „more“? Is it because I do not have the controller? Also I cannot change from 2.4GHz to 5.8, why is that?
Does somebody know😂
Footage from the Avata 2 honestly looks a little bit blurry compared to other smaller drones like the mini 3 pro. Avata 2 has a 12MP Camera, vs Mini 3 Pro with a 48MP Camera. Seems kind of silly to only have a 12MP camera. What was DJI thinking.
Flying in 30fps is definitely a challenge. It is with the O3 and it is with the Avata 2 / O4. The latency is horrible! I go either 60 FPS or 50 and adjust speed to 120 to Match a 30fps Timeline. Does Not work when people are in the shot
You're right, 30fps has the worst latency on both O3 and O4. The higher frame rates are better matched to the goggles OLED frequency which give better performance. Mads Tech has done extensive testing on this (see video DJI Avata 2 O4 FPV Latency from Jun 11).
I can't setting and record video 4K, what happened?😢
OMG.. my video looks like SH.T half cloudy daytime, ND8 ,, Manual . iso 100 lock200 . 4k 60fps ..so shutter 1/120 WB 5400 . rocksteady. Ultra wide. D-Log-M .Colour example ON .. its realy bad..wat am i doing wrong..??? does it only shoot in MP4 format ???
Lol/ ok its Windows 11 media player..that S>CK i now have VLC day and night difference .. jeeez almost send the drone back haha .. i love your vids man.. THMBS up
Keep it simple and just stick to auto focus. Watch Ted Nemeth video "How to COMPLETELY Transform Your Cinematic DRONE Footage"
ND ALSO FOR DRONES, YOU DON'T NEED ND FILTER BECAUSE QUALITY IS COMING LOW
Hey brother, i dont have the option of 4k 100 fps, what should i do?
only available in 16/9 not in 4/3
How are you able to fly using 30 fps? I tried once, but the latency was so terrible that I was not able to do it.
Recording fps should have nothing to do with latency transmission to the goggles.
@@riskybusiness5 yes, but it feels laggy. I think it's because it is transmitting the video at 30 frames per second. It was an unflyable experience for me.
You're right, 30fps has the worst latency on both O3 and O4. The higher frame rates are better matched to the goggles OLED frequency which give better performance. Mads Tech has done extensive testing on this (see video "DJI Avata 2 O4 FPV Latency" from Jun 11).
😎🤝
SOFTNESS GIVES A CINEMATIC LOOK, NOT MOTION BLUR
The stock rates are terrible
What rates do you recommend? I noticed the rates sucks but am new to it rn
Originaldobo has some good rates on his channel.
I don’t know yet tried a few but they’ve not worked out
@@belovedLion80 can't find them
People bought this to fly manual mode? 😂
It's totally designed for the motion controller. That's why I bought it. When I'm done flying my repairable 5 inch freestyle quad, I fly the Avata to decompress. Only thing I'm upset about is not being able to fly at full speed with the motion controller.
Video claims to tell you about the best settings but sends you to other tutorial for stick settings..... Bro! Would have took 2 min to look in to how to loosen the left stick and put it in your video....
Any way, still like your content in general but this was just lazy AF...
IMHO you should never use manual camera settings, unless you can justify it for the exact situation you are flying. Flying cameras are very different than fixed cameras, that will be facing the bright sun one moment and facing dark shadows the next moment. No manual setting can compensate for that. Watch Ted Nemeth video "How to COMPLETELY Transform Your Cinematic DRONE Footage"
Manual settings does compensate for that though. the use of nd filters and the use of auto iso like he goes over allows you to be able to expose correctly, then in post with davinci or another editor you perfect it.
what😂 always use manual unless you fly indoor to outdoor.
you speak too fast my brother
Hi Danny! How do you transfer files from avata storage not from card on mac?why my mac dont see my drone?
