- This repair looked a bit tricky to start with, but as long as you know about the 'rubbery grommet', then it's awkward, but easy enough.
I bought the replacement actuator from Ebay for around £30 or so. - Авто та транспорт
Hi Timm, this is Alvin, your number one fan. Blessings to you and your family 😊
ALVIN! There you are! Blessings to you and your family!
Thanks for the video Timm, ACTUATOR doesn't work on my car either. This will be my next job
Good man, let us know how you get on!
Happy New Year Timm. With all that has been going on with my project, I'm not a massive fan of the Eastern European parts supply chain at the moment! I'll have to resolve the issue somehow because it has stopped me in my tracks. I have reached out to several people to try and get some help and advice (other than the Forum) and have not had the benefit from a single acknowledgement or reply. Anyhow, we'll see what 2024 brings. Thank you for all your video content, Meeknet and your continued help and support. Regards, Bob.
Always my pleasure Bob - very strange that they are not available
@@TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation Indeed. Not wanting to jinx the job even more, but I just might have found a way out. We will have to see.
Happy New Year! 🎉 Nothing like a bit of an actuator replacement to finish off the year. 😂 My F31 has an annoying rain leak in the rear passenger footwell (I think from the butyl tape breaking down behind the rear door card) - so I need to troubleshoot that this weekend. The F13 is running flawlessly with no issues 😊 Best wishes Tim for 2024!
Thanks Stephen! Hope it goes well!
Another informative video as always. Thanks Timm.
Glad you enjoyed it
All the Best for New Year Timm I look forward to more excellent content in 2024
Thanks Neil!
Happy New Year sir, thanks for all your help over the years 🎉🎉
Happy new year!
Thank you for the tip
My pleasure!
Thanks Timm. Do the door locks also operate on 5volts?
I've not measured, but I would guess 12V
Thanks Tim. I watch your channel even though I've actually got an L322 Range Rover (BMW model no. L30 with the BMW X5 electrickery) and I've had 5 door locks fail in the past 2 years. Testing them on the bench with 12v works sometimes. Maybe I should try 5v. (The locks appear to use 2 electric motors to drive them.)
EDIT: I should have looked at the circuit diagrams. The rear door locks are powered from the same line that powers the fuel flap release.
Timm!!!! i need your help with a e31/38 DSC5 system, you are the only one with information about them, can i please contact you some how?
Here you go: www.meeknet.co.uk/E38/ABS/Index.htm
@@TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation Hi Tim, thank you for the reply, luckily I found a blown relay under the dashboard, unfortunately that link isn't anyhelp either as my car is DSC5, Not DSC5.7 The cross over is late 1995 and my car is mid 1995, my abs is controlled by a module under the dash
Hi Timm, I would like to send you a message. How do I do this? Please advise.
