Think you'll find the fault is with the BSM (Engine fusebox) unit. You'd be better swapping just that on it's own and seeing if the car starts ok. As the engine ecu and BSI will then be original, all the configurations will be the same. It can become very awkward to reconfigure the ecu's from a donar car without access to Peugeots servers. You may end up forever chasing configuration faults. The engine fusebox is just plug and play. Good luck..

Joys of a Peugeot. Lots of electrical faults. My Peugeot had a few faults that I had to have switched off for every MOT.

I know it’s easy to pick holes when watching someone else but always disconnect negative lead first and reconnect last. I would try disconnecting battery and disconnect ecu leads spray with contact cleaner and then reconnect. Reconnect battery negative lead and give that a go. Seems like all problems come from sitting around for long period of time. Hopes this helps but I’m with you all the way on not giving up on it. 👍

Welcome back, and I also yelled out “yes” when she started (both the first time and on the new ECU) - Christine’s fighting you all the way, but that MOT must be coming soon ?! (And then FINALLY onto the Transit, which is a “must be” before you go buying anything else - this is an order! 😉
    Keep ‘em comin’

I might have been tempted to try and draw the moisture out of the old ECU etc - leaving them in an airing cupboard or whatever. At least with your own car if you take a risk on some new parts it is "your" risk - more difficult in this situation.

Good call - would be even better if you had access to a dehumidifier - alternatively, and shy of buying a new ECU, maybe send the original one off to the crowd that Salvage Rebuilds UK quite often use, for interrogation and reboot

Hi Mate. Not sure if this is any help but the fusebox under the bonnet is a common fault on those it seems. I only know because I bought a 207 Estate Car 2 years ago & I wondered why it had a SPARE Fusebox in the boot in a cardboard box. The part number has been superseded now did you know? The replacement is a different make & the fuse layout doesn't exactly match the fusebox layout in the handbook or indeed the Haynes Manual however the plugs all fit which is the most important thing.
If you have a magnifying glass I expect you will see that some of those terminals will have corroded or more like desintegrated which would explain why some things don't work. Out of curiosity I wondered how much a replacement fusebox costs & bear in mind this was 2 years ago, I believe it was about £80 - £100.

I bet if you drove it around the car park those codes will clear.
I had a golf that was parked up for months and the dash was like a Christmas tree. Drove it up the road then all cleared

I would be curious to find out if the ecu was ready for the bin, take it out, put it in a warm place and maybe take the case apart to see if there are any blown chips. Maybe just a bit of contact cleaner and a proper dry would sort it.

Hi when you replace dhe ECU, BSI and BSM you have codet in the car, or you just change and replace ?
Because I have the Peugeot 207 1.6 hdi 109 HP, and I think I have the same problem.

You need to code to the car it's all security protected. You can buy the ecu with all the security taken off on ebay but its a little pricey
