Whisky.com reviews the Glenmorangie Original - new Design 10 Years. Glenmorangie only uses its casks twice. For the flagship of the range, The Original, the malt was matured in first and refill bourbon casks. The original bottling is one of the best-selling single malts in Scotland and is now available in a new design.

This is a great whisky, like you say it's pleasant and something you could enjoy everyday. This was the 2nd whisky I ever tried and is still something I drink now. You know what you're getting with it, a reliable malt!
For me though, I don't like the new branding, I prefer their old bottle branding, it just looked like it had some class about it. Also the older bottle has that nostalgia linked to it for me because it was the first full bottle of whisky I was ever bought.
Personally I don’t dig the new design.. But what’s really important is what’s in the bottle more than the bottle itself.
Great whisky. The new bottle looks more suitable for a cheap, overtly sweet white wine that will make you chew half a dozen Tums in the morning.
The whisky that got me into whisky in the first place, so will always have a bottle in the house, and it will always have a special place in my heart. Great to have on hand for beginners, and to go back to yourself if you want an undemanding dram to relax with. Have to say though, I do not like the new branding.
This brand would benefit by increasing ABV to 46%+ and commit to no colorant or chill filtering. Best case is a cask strength. Lovely stuff.
The Quinta Ruban is already 46% and non cill filtered. And I disagree that it would benefit. It would lose out on a lot of regular customers who only buy this brand to sip in an evening and enjoy the smoothness of it. With 46% the "masses" would not be good. The average customer likes 40-43%. Us who drink a bigger variety we like 46%+. My opinion only.
@@zoltanlakoyt8665 I can remember the "Port Wood" at 43%, and when they brought out the 46% UCF I thought they were doing everything we want... but the truth is the old CF 43% was better. Not that the Quinta Rubin was bad - it's not, it's quite good , but there's a place and a sweet spot for every distillate.
Ben I barely recognized you and your voice at first. Thanks for this review.
Just picked up a bottle of this one, truly wonderfull with it long taste
One of my favorites.
Sometimes when a whiskey changes the label it signifies a change in production methods, or ownership, or target profile. But sometimes they just change the label.
I like the new look. It will take awhile to get used to seeing it on the shelf. I think when looking at a wall of scotch bottles at the local liquor store it will standout. Those of us who know and appreciate Glenmo 10 will know what’s in the box.
Tried it at a restaurant and decided to purchase a bottle to go along with my cigars occasionally.
Just a nice solid easy drinking whisky imo
This whiskey is delicious. The new box looks cheap.
Lovely new modern rebranding. Really stands out on the shelf! Glad to see a whisky be bold. Improved the look of the brand
What is a glass name/brand? Thanks in advance.
This is the ugliest rebranding I’ve seen in the last decade. And to add salt to the wound they probably spent millions that they could have used to boost the ABV or buy better casks to age their whisky in.
Agreed
I agree it’s an absolutely terrible rebranding
Agreed
+1
Agree 💯
just bought this bottle, not a scotch drinker but my wife and i are going to scotland summer 2025, so thought i get some flavors going before i go distillary hopping
Where do you get your glasses? Really like the look of them
I think they were designed by Horst himself
We get it in 43% in the States. I like it.
After seeing almost positive only reviews i will try it. The orange box put me off that is why i never tried it but seems to be good one
It is, especially for the price.
still a delicious pour
My first whisky, 30 years in the past, will always be my go to but it’s going to be hard to get use to the new look
I am 70 years old and have seen a lot of rebranding. In 2 years you won’t even notice.
@@butchpedit4871 BS, grandad. It looks like garbage. Already looks 10 years out of date.
@@T--xk3hf I think you meant to say proud granddad.
I herd this is the best selling whiskey in the UK
The bottle looks cool
Just purchased the new pack
Looks not so good
ABV is 43%
Ben , I like channel , like you and your father
But you could have done that review without tasting it , I could have done it , a bit more cutting edge mate please
And ..I know being controversial and scoring things is never your bag ( stay safe keep the samples coming ) but come on , tell us if these products are actually any good 🙈We know what Glenmorangie is , but sometimes other brands need scoring / an opinion or it doesn’t help us buy 👹
I think that because they sell whisky they don’t want to be saying negative things. The way I look at it, if they don’t rave at how good it is then it’s probably trash.
New design looks like wine
I had a customer trade me a bottle for a vape & thats what I told him when he brought it looks like wine so now im here looking at reviews
Nice dram but hate the new packaging and bottle looks like a bottle of wine not whisky.
This is an good whiskey however, I think it is too young. I think the flavor is not really developed and could do with more aging.
The new label looks like it belongs on a bottle of very cheap, bad wine. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
I've long been a fan of Glenmorangie, but this has got to be the UGLIEST product redesign I've ever seen in the world of spirits. Whoever is in charge of their packaging/marketing needs to be let go. New packaging seriously looks like a black-market knockoff of Glenmorangie.
They made it looks so cheap on that design.. the old one is much better and look expensive.
A pointless redesign - does nothing to improve the quality or image of the brand.
The new design is terrible.
Not a fan, whisky should look like whisky, not soft drink.
P.s….you’re pronouncing “Glenmorangie” wrong😉
Great whisky. Terrible label.
You deffenetly dont try wiskey like that brah wtf are you doing :D:D::D:D:D
he must have felt so relieved when he turned the camera off and didnt have to do that awful accent anymore
New design looks like some wine/juice bottle looks really childish not like whiskey. Too modern. For me very harsh whiskey didnt like it
