More so I would say he is amalgamation of all😂 he is Chuck Norris + Arnold and every badass character ever😅

I'm Japanese and I love Korean movies! The roundup 2 with Ma Dong-seok is also very interesting! Oh my God! In the roundup: Punishment, Ma Dong-seok will play the role of a detective and Kim Moo-yeol will co-star as the villain! I seriously can’t wait! Also, unfortunately, The Roundup 3 will not be available in theaters in Japan until late February next year! That’s crazy, right? Even though Japan is South Korea's neighbor, the movie was screened eight months after it was screened in South Korea.

Although the death penalty still exists in South Korea, it hasn't been carried out since 1997, the year in which it was last carried out, which makes it a de facto abolitionist country for when President Kim Dae-jung promulgated a moratorium on executions that is still in force. Kang Kyung-ho, the serial killer, wears the prison uniform with the red tag that marks prisoners sentenced to death, but given that, as mentioned, no president will ever sign the execution order, unless pressured by public opinion, the death penalty for these prisoners effectively turns into a life sentence.
Highly recommend the series Bad Guys, it's like a grounded "suicide squad" kdrama where a cop uses criminals to catch serial killers, and the first season has Ma Dong Seok and the second season has Kim Mu Yeol
Ma Dong-seok is like Korea Dwayne Johnson. If he's in a action movie we just watch it.
Dwayne Johnson is simply 6+feet of muscle and nothing more plus a tonne of ego.
He was a former boxer.

"Round Up" is very famous series in Korea.
In "Round Up" series Ma Dong-seok plays of a 'cop'
The 4th movie of Round Up series gonna be released May next year and "Kim Mu-Yeol" plays a villain there.

"Memories of murder" is one of the awesome movie, you can give it a try.
The rights to the story has been sold and a Hollywood remake is planned. Not sure if it will ever be made, but it's been in discussions for the past couple of years.
This movie is toxic masculinity masterpiece! The scene where Ma rams the door and flattens the serial killer rescuing the young girls in the karaoke is sheer masculinity!!!!!

This movie is so different. Usually punch and slap would make sound really big in action movie, but when Ma Dong Seok does, there is little to no sound but the damage is big

If you looking for next Korean Drama/Series to watch, try "Happiness", one of the best Kdrama ever. Its played by Han Hyo Joo (Lee Mihyun/Bongseok's Mom in "Moving"). The story is so good and im sure even general audience/someone new into Kdrama will enjoy it since its Action/Thriller genre.
