Great comparison video and so appreciative that you take the time to show good alternatives to getting the job done. Your thoroughness and plain and simple instructions give fair play to more economical options. Thank you.
It's much quieter than a gas washer I'll take the trade-off. Thanks, great video.
Nice video. As you mentioned this might be a good investment for someone just getting into auto detailing as a business or even a homeowner that wants to upgrade to a more serious foam gun.
I find these type of videos very helpful and informative. Keep up the good the good work, and thank you!
Nice shout-out to Matt. Thanks for the detailed review.
Easy review, like comparing a f1 race car to a daily driver. One delivers pure performace and power the other just plods along and keeps breaking down. Thanks for taking the time and uploading 👍
Glad to see more Sunjoe reviews. I have the 9007 model. Absolutely love it. There was no way I was going to spend over a grand for a power washer that I'm only going to use for washing my car. Can't say enough great things about the Sunjoe. Tip: go to SunJoes website and register your email for a discount coupon. That's how I bought mine.
Excellent video, I am new to detailing , got a Sun Joe , hated my first use, I'm ordering all the items you mentioned should solve all the problems I was having. Thanks for the video.
I had a Sunjoe a few weeks ago, but it was messing up, so I threw it away. I had nothing but problems with it until I finally pitched it. Prior to that, it worked well.
Appreciate the honest review Auto Fanatic! Already passed along some of your suggestions to the team (lance, length of pressure hose, plastic vs. metal hose connector...) -- Thanks
Snow Joe + Sun Joe the company posting reviews, and following through with feed back! Props to you guys! 👍🏻 great review thanks man!
It's been a year do you have you added an auto shutoff to this model? or have a similar machine with auto off when releasing the trigger? thank you
Could you possibly try to not sucker people in with max results that aren’t realistic? That’s a good suggestion. None of your pressure washers really perform well spec wise to similar units within a $200 range. Eg, throw another $150 at a comet static and get actual rated 1000psi at 2gpm
Your unit is like 700 psi for 2gpm and required after market modification to get 1000 psi at 1.6gpm. The greenworks pressure washers put out better numbers if not for their quirky spool up time of a couple seconds.
I’m happy with the durability of my SunJoe upright. But after seeing this, when my current upright dies, I’ll be looking for a deal on another SunJoe standup. Fits my storage area. 🤷🏼♂️
How do I modify my Upright SunJoe to accept the Boss Foam Canon from Griot’s?
Thanks for another great informative video! This one saved me a little frustration in trying to find a start to washing my car with a Pressure Washer. I’ve been shopping around for a mid-priced Pressure Washer and had ordered a Comet 1700 machine from Amazon only to find out their supplier and everyone else was sold out! I was going to wait for a new shipment when I saw this video of the Sun Joe 9004. It’s not perfect but for the price I’ll give it a try. By the way, this was totally new to me a year ago, until I saw a video of you driving a Infiniti red sport, and it has opened my eyes to so much information. Thanks! Keep those videos coming!
Awesome review man! Great option for those wanting to save a few bucks!
I have the Kranzle 1122 I love that it has the hose reel built in and it’s on wheels , I have it for almost 3 years works awesome, I picked up the whole kit from OG Matt when he first offed it , mosmatic gun with swivel, mosmatic angled lance and all the fittings. Kranzle make there own pumps the best pump on the planet :)
@DrgnFlys People are Obsessed with Obsessed Garage, so they buy into the hype
Thanks for the unbiased review, these days that's pretty rare.
“Unbiased”
As always great review AF
I looked into this pump and almost went with it but opted for the Kranzle. I'm glad to hear the Kranzle has more power. Still waiting for it get here can't wait to use it for myself.
You can also repair and rebuild kranzle pumps. Good luck with sun joe.
Was waiting for this video, great stuff man. I have a spx3000 and it works awesome. Couple of things, bought the machine way below 100, then got the SJ 25' hose that you have there, that's their heavy duty version, same grade as the 20' one that comes with the spx3000 and most SJ PW, so there I have now 45'. One thing, the SJ hose would not accept any standard QD or mtm gun, because it's 15mm, not 14mm. There's a Home Depot adapter the can be used 15mm to 14mm ( I tested it and works) or like I did, got the SJ adapter from OG for the SJ hose. I also have the SG28 complete package from OG, MTM swivel, pf22 foam cannon, QD inlet hose and 3.0 orifice nozzles. Like I said on Matt's video, totally agree with you guys, this machines are way overrated on psi, no way near to what they claim, but you have to use different nozzles, 3.0 and 2.7 orifice nozzles work better, to wash cars, they really do a great job. Were you using the typical 4.0 nozzle that is use for the Kranzle on the SJ there?, maybe that was the reason you needed to change to the 25 tip. Honestly my level of Foam is pretty much the same, as the spx9004-pro, IMO (using CG HD snow foam). I think you missed one key and the most important piece of the puzzle for that is the PF22, believe me, that is it. I used cheap Amazon foam cannons to test and it's just crap, with the pf22, everything works together amazing. I'm disappointed on the spx9004 not having TSS, they should add that, that's a no go for me. It's really cheap @360 right now on Amazon compared to the Kranzle and that's a great deal, but no TSS, come on SJ. Don't get me wrong, I know the Kranzle is far superior in every way and even though I can afford it, I don't have the necessity right now. I'm not a professional detailer or anything like that, just a car enthusiast who loves cars and this kind of stuff. As you said, for the price is a great deal, gets the job done and makes a hell of a foam with the proper components and upgrades, that's the key. I'll still recommend the spx3000 over this, because of the TSS and the ability to upgrade everything. It's all about progression from there and easier to upgrade to something else if you want to. Great awesome video AF, waiting for your wheel cleaner, hehe. 😁👌👍
I have this unit and it has been fantastic. I also pair it with a MTM sg28 and pf 22 foam cannon. I use a remote switch for long breaks. The unit is very quiet. When mine came in the plastic base was cracked but a quick call to Sunjoe and they sent me a new base. This vid was instrumental and helping me choose this unit . i appreciate your straight forward videos and you have earned a sub from me!
thanks for sharing, i am trying tin find a remote switch for my new 230v washer but no luck yet but thats a great idea for this Sunjoe.
Btw what size nozzles are you using?
For my needs it would be the SunJoe all day long, especially after seeing the way it was spreading the GG foaming surface wash!
We live in an apartment so I bought the IK Foam 9 hand pump, right here from Auto-Fanatic and its awesome! I just used it tonight, along with TriNova carwash soap, not too bad but nowhere as great as the GG foaming surface wash or the AutoBrite soap.
Thanks bro I was looking for a review on this
its. not a bad machine but I recently reviewed the Comet Static and loved it, check my channel two weeks back for that review and demo
This is the reason I didn't buy the SPX9004 PRO. Instead, I bought the SPX4001 along with the same foam cannon and gun you have here. I like the auto on/off feature on the 4001 model. I'm not sure how long the 9004 would last with it running all the time. Great review. Thanks!
Great review
I've got the SPX-3500 and couldn't be happier. As a normal consumer, it's everything I wanted in a pressure washer for home/car washing use. It's really hard to justify the difference in cost unless you make your living using a pressure washing machine. If that's the case, you'd want the absolute best qualify money can buy.
I have the Kränzle too here in Holland , great for everything. But Kärcher Made some good pressure washer too like Nilfisk, Stihl, Bosch etc...
Thank you sooo much for this video! I wish I had the money for the Kranzle but I don’t right now, until then I’ll get the sunjoe. Seems like a great alternative
go for it this will serve you well for the money
Auto Fanatic do you still have yours or did you get rid of it already?
Thanks, I think I'm going for the sunjoe
Thinking same , for cars you don’t need nothing so powerful to peel the paint off just the dirt lol
I like my 1322TSS for both my home and auto use but did have to buy the 1.8 downstream injector separate however i did notice
the sun joe has it built in after the pump which is a good feature so no extra cost there.nice review and BTW i'm running out of
wheel cleaner soon?
can you reccpmend any videos that explain the basics of pressure washers and gas vs electric and gpm vs psi an which does what etc, which psi/gpm is needed etc?
Love that tree
Great review👌👌👌👌
thanks
Good video
Nice review. How is that uberflex hose working out? I was considering one but see some reviews showing them bursting
I like the hand held carry type units, great for us up NORTH when the temperatures dip to the lower 30's (degrees) you can bring indoors to protect pump if using year round and they take up a smaller foot print to store away, now KRANZLE/DIRT KILLER may be an exception being a few units they have are equipped with FREEZE PROOF PUMPS. I may purchase a SUNJOE hand carry unit for a backup until I purchase the KRANZLE. SUNJOE and a few other companies should speak to detailers for input to build a unit to the industry recommendations. I contacted AR a few years back but never proceeded forward, I'd suggest a self priming pump for gravity feed, 50 ft of hose, freeze proof pump, pistol style gun and just a few more options but those would be the top points for me in a hand carry unit
Great video, Not able to get a Kranzle just yet, which one would you rec. or buy, The SUNJOE SPX9004 or the KARCHER K1700 ?
Thanks! Is that a 3/8" pressure hose?
Nice comparison. I have the cheaper $200 Sunjoe which works great for car washing and might have gotten the one you tested if it was available but mine does shut off at idle which is nice and quiet. I also use an MTM sg28 with pf22 foam cannon after getting adapters for their hose. I also got MTM’s smaller foam cannon orifice for electric power washers which makes a HUGE difference and even lets me use soap not specifically made for foaming. I think they include the extra smaller orifice now as standard. The kranzle with a smaller orifice I’d wonder if you’d be knee deep in foam lo
FYI those prosumer sunjoe’s can be had with wheeled carts too if you want something a bit more mobile.
I have a old nilfisk c120.3 power washers doesn't get the foam out as thick as that but it will do god the mean time till I get something better
Interesting video I’m new to your channel 👍🏼 I’m starting to get into the detail business I’ve already detailed a few cars I’m thinking on purchasing an electric pressure washer what are your thoughts on the Dewalt electric pressure washers 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌️
I was all excited about buying one of these. But then I found out the machine runs all the time. That’s a deal breaker for me. Thanks for your review.
there is a solution to this and il be showing everyone soon on the channel along with a neat custom mobile cart
@@autofanaticcars did you ever show the mod for on/off?
I have a pressure switch but no idea how to make it work 😭
I bought a remote outlet for a quick fix
I am new to your channel and this was a question I had about which pressure washer you are using.
Good video! I have the spx4000 will that 50' hose fit as well? Tia
To use the Uberflex Hose I believe you need an adapter to go from 15mm to 14mm
Take a look at the Stanley SLP2050 2-in-1 and the Stanley SHP2150 as well as the AR Blue units.
Can you put two pressure washer hoses together?
Do they make the Kranzle 1322 or has it been replaced with the Kranzle K1622 1600?
Is the hose connection on the machine standard m22 14mm? Your link to Amazon for the qc set is standard but according to sun joe it takes m22 15mm.
Thanks for sharing. Was looking an electric washer.
Picked one up from Amazon just now. Used, very good condition..$185.56, any troubles or missing parts.. back it goes.. One more left..
Let us know how it turned out
i bet it might be one of the smashed ones they sent me that i tried to repair, make sure it does not show up smashed
10-4. Supposed to arrive today. So far, nope... I'll keep you posted
Arrived late today. The corner of the box was smashed. Lots of tape. Inside, the unit looks like new. Along with all accessories..
Will give it a try tomorrow.
It came from Wearhouse Deals Inc, out of Kentucky. Hope it works well.
Will keep you posted.
Lowest used price now $194.29.
Update.... Forgot to post. Used the washer 2 weeks ago. Used all pieces included, worked like a champ.
Cleaned 2 cars and a van. Hose was too short, needed to move the unit two times.
Next step, longer hose, will checkout uberflex. Also looking to upgrade gun with mtm sgs28.
For now, I'll be carrying it around. May build a cart or wall mount it.
Thanks for the product review. It was very helpful.
Is the unloader valve knob supposed to come off if you loosen the knob all the way?
where did you get the brass elbow for the inlet of the kranzle and how do you put it on?
What are the benefits if you hook up the sunjoe to a jet pump ?
The cheapy ryobi does it for me. If they made a P.W that was as quiet as the Kranzle but around 400 like the Sun Joe id grab it just for that reason. For now the cheap one with the nice attachments and hose lol. Thanks for the vid man!
Which Ryobi do you have? I was looking at the Ryobi 1600.
@@davisonthomas4697 I have the Ryobi 1600 1.2 gpm for now just because it weights only 18lbs and easy for mobile use (Miata owner lol). But no complaints here from it, it does a good job and is pretty quiet. I added quick disconnects etc
yeah the I had the older one with the soap tub built in, buddy at home depot got me the newer black one with the soap receiver seperate. Works just as well, maybe a tad lighter, a tad more quiet. Just interested in something with higher gpm so I can get better foam. I change the orface in the foam cannon to a smaller one, foam was much better but not the same as this vid. Hey it still does amazing. For the money, go grab it
Just from watching this video I think the sunjoe is a way better value than the kranzle. I know we have to see how long the sunjoe will last but if it ends up being a reliable unit it would be a better buy, for detailing at least. I saw very little if any difference in the foam it produced. Great video again! Will be looking into this sunjoe for sure!
biggest difference it PSI, it is very noticeable for cleaning power but works just fine as i show
Auto Fanatic
Can you compare the AR 610 with the sun joe? That would be a great video.
I hope you know that green cap in the beginning of the video is actually a breather cap which is import to use while running the machine , the screw on cap is just for temporary transport so that it will not leaked and is sealed
What size orifice are you using with the pf22 when utilizing this pressure washer?
Can you not buy Karcher pressure washers in the States?
I've had this one for a couple months and I love mine.
def a nice machine, not strong enough to do crazy stuff but for car washing its great
100% agree. It lives in the garage for car washing
Ryobi with Honda and idle down Gas pressure washer for big jobs
Can this subject be feed from stationary water tank?
Would the sun joe self prime like the kranzle
I have a question please are you recommend the nerta cleaners??thanks
Do you still have the Kranzle? Been a reliable unit? I'm in the UK market for a K10 / 122 TS
What orifice are you using with mtm foam cannon?
What orifice was the 40 degree nozzle?
Very good for the price
Pricing on Amazon is $319.20 for this unit. That is a FANTASTIC price for an industrial quality unit. While, yes, it's not the Kranzle which obviously is a VERY well made unit from Germany which that in itself says its a notch above the rest in build quality, the Sun Joe unit just can't be beat for most enthusiast in the world at a price point that just about everyone can afford. I will definitely be considering the Sun Joe SPX9004 over the Kranzle unit and there's a 85% chance I'll go with the Sun Joe now that I know this unit exist. Even with the top handle and the fact you have to carry around the unit, I only wash my vehicles once a week and for the few times I would have to pick it up and move it around the vehicle to complete the job, that's perfectly fine with me, not a big deal. As for the wand being of lower grade quality, I'll add an industrial wand to it for a reasonable price and be good to go. If I did want to add some sort of wheels to it, I could always set on some type of cart and wheel it around that way, but honestly, for weekend detailing, this unit is probably the BEST unit on the market right now for enthusiast, hands down. Thanks for reviewing and posting this video.
Can u test the comet static 1700.
What's the sun Joe spx4000 pro like
Moreman crushed it with the OG spec Kranzle. The on/off is spot on for car washing. If Sunjoe would have added that option they would probably sell many more. Kranzle all day every day!
i agree no company can seem to offer that in the lower priced units i think its a huge handicap for sales for sure
I have it and added my own pressure switch... Works great.
mike bair Interesting, can you share more detail about how you did this?
Mike can you share this pls????
@@mikeburr114 we need that info
Woulda been a winner with auto shut off.
Can this machines be gravity feed
AR 630 TSS FTW!!!!
Great comparison, thanks. I didn't know this one lacks the auto-shutoff feature of the others. My cheap Sun Joe SPX3200 shuts off when you release the trigger. I wonder why this one doesn't.
What do the quick disconnect do?
I want to swap out my gas pressure washer, because of all the noise it produces even with its idle down feature, but I like the power I get from it, so im not too sure
i was on the fence too, you get addicted to the power of gas but the noise, smell is tough to deal with and the hours your allowed to use it. so far the Kranzle is awesome but for heavy duty chores if you want to buy one electric machine to do it all, buy the 230V unit from NorthStar ( Northern tool) we have one in the body shop its incredible and has enough balls to do real industrial cleaning and can be toned down for cars easily with the built in regulator.
What type of oil dos the sunjoe uses ??
I ended up going the Kranzle K1322TS. Its hard one. I could not find anyone that says anything bad about it, expect the cost. I'm going to mount it in my van. It just checks all the boxes. Small, reliable, PSI, PGM, and it syphons out of a water tank. At the end of the day there really is not anything else out there like it.
thats a great machine to wash cars but if you plan to do heavy duty cleaning for business like driveways, siding etc you will find it underpowered for commercial use. for mobile detailing its perfect though. I just sold my 1322 rig in favor of a more commercial machine for detailing and everything around my house, check the video i posted on this channel a few days back on the most powerful electric pressure washer.
The SPX9004 PRO maxes out at just below 1000psi nominal....they do make an 1800psi unit that is probably 1300-1500psi nominal. ALSO- Snow Joe just came out with a new one , same footprint, but closer to 3K psi. These SJ pro pumps are rated at 500 hours vs the uprights (only 100 hour pumps).
I almost ordered one last week for a great price on Amazon but went with SPX4000. I was curious as to their claim of the GPM and thought 1.76 was close to 2.0 in theory. Contacted and their response was best pressure was attained using the 0-degree tip on the 2030-setting. Second request stated that GPM occurred at the same. Bottom line is I think they will work for light duty but their ratings are theoretical not measured. My pocket stays in SunJoe or AR2N1 price but the Kranzle is the big ape of electric models.
In real world testing the GPM is a lie for sun joes. You'll get about 1.2-1.3 on a 40 degree tip, PSI is also well over rated, around 900-1050, and doesn't change with the degree tip you use. I'm surprised the specs are so far off for a pro oriented product.
What hose are you using?
You have to use the power washer nozzle tip that comes with the unit look at the tip it have a bigger hold and if u use any other tips it kills the electronic motor
Only if the nozzle size you are using is smaller. It looks like Auto-Fanantic was using a larger nozzle (probably 4.0). This would explain the SunJoe's weaker pressure but also it's good GPM which the foam cannon needs for good foaming.
Sunjoe makes a 20ft pressure washer whose extension it’s the same flexible material
Actually, it‘s going to save your money if pay for the good quality stuff at first. However, it always been realized after chose the cheap one...
Howcome you don't like stand up pressure washers? What do you think about washers built into carts? Like the Greenwroks GPW1803 I just bought.
they usually tip over and break all the time, i never liked upright machines for that reason, they never seem to last.
How much of the Sun Joe's noise is from the plastic base rattling on the pavement? Do you think rubber feet would quiet it down any?
base is rubber no noice from the base
@@autofanaticcars Ah gotcha, thanks for the quick reply!
My $170 Ryobi has that auto stop feature and a 3 year warranty.
How has the Uberflex hose been holding up for you? Trying to decide if it is worth the purchase. I see some reviews about it bursting/kinking.
i never once had an issue with any of mine for years and i trashed them
Does it have an auto shut off meaning when you let go of the trigger does it shut off?
That's covered in the video :-) no. It doesn't
Great video. I don’t think I could stand the machine being on all the time. Matt at Obesessed sells an adapter kit to use his spray guns with most sun joe electric pressure washers
yeah never was a fan of any machine running full time when at idle
Some people rag on SunJoe. I have an spx3000 which works just fine for what I need it to do.
I’m wondering if the Sun Joe can be mounted on something with wheels ?
anything can be mounted on wheels with some time and skill
Getting ready to pull trigger on kranzle...I’ve got a bad back....what did you use to make the dolly w wheels....thanks
buy the cart direct from me or OG they are a PITA to make
Auto Fanatic .....you sell the pieces to make the cart? I would be interested
Good comparison. I can't see spending money on the Kranzle however the Sun joe always being on would be super annoying to me. Why I'm looking at an electric one to replace my gas powered one that I do the cars with. I'll still keep the gas for home stuff but for cars I am more than likely picking up a AR Blue Clean AR630-TSS. Seems like this is almost as good as the Kranzle but no where near the cheapness of the less models like the sunjoe.
That Kranzle is as loud as my Green Works 1700 PSI 1.3 gal per min, Pressure washer and I only spend $90 dollars on mine and I upgraded the wands from Norther Tool and it turns off and on when you squeeze the handle.
It produce thick foam?
@@Carlos.Rivera thick foam is overrated
how come the Sun Joe SPX3000 has auto on off but they cant put it in this one for the price point?
They claimed that of they added a start stop that it would create too much draw on a 15a circuit.
@@sushiboiiii that sort of makes sense since electric motors draw a high peak power at startup and doing that constantly can cause problems. Still though, you can get by that with a ramp up of 1-3 seconds.
Auto fanatic, what did you do with the pressure washer? Do you have an update? Like you said the plastic bottom part on mine already broke, I call Sun joe and the customer service was excellent they send me another unit that arrived 4 days after I called but I am afraid that same problem could happen again.
i sold mine to a local guy. Been testing some other units recently too but not sure if they are worth doing videos on just yet
Are you still using the Sun Joe?
If I bought a SunJoe, I would plug it into a remote outlet switch so I could use a keyfob to remotely shut it off while not using it.
bobbymorgret That’s a good idea , I use that with my Christmas lights
I added that to mine. Same as in the video. Works like a champ!
SUPER BIEN DE BIEN GOOD OFF GOOD
Have you seen the new active ve52 pressure washer, of you have what are your thoughts of it?
i have not seen that unit yet
@@autofanaticcars its a small portable pressure washer that states its 1800psi with 2.0gpm and its priced between 150-200
Great review. One thing, though...the links above for the MTM Foam Cannon includes the SGS28 then you have another link for the SGS28 with the lance. Did you intend for us all to buy two SGS28's or is that a typo? How much MTM stock do you own, by the way? :) Just kidding!
one is the gun and lance other is gun and foam cannon if you click them it will give you the items individually on the lower part of the page
Have you plan on trying the mosmatic gun? I have a cheap short gun and my hands get tired with the trigger
i like my SG28 gun past few years its flawless and has not broken after all the times i dropped it
Auto Fanatic does the sg28 have an integrated swivel?
mine does
Auto Fanatic thanks!
I followed these specs to a T for the Sunjoe. When I go to spray my foam Cannon (Trinova w/ 1.1mm Orifice) I am getting large bubbles throughout the spray preferred to thick foam. Is this a foam cannon problem? How could air be getting into the foam?
sounds like something is leaking somewhere at the connections.
@@autofanaticcars If it brings anything value to the table, it was my water supply. Filling up the foam cannon with distilled water with your soap will guarantee you heavy foam. Might be a good idea for future videos
