I have question about screen capture as i have team, So what if work on hourly project and I am not working on that job but someone on my team , Then how screen capture will work ? Cause i will not allow my team mate to have my upwork on there pc , so only solution will be manual hours ? Or any other solution as well ?

Right. That's what I'm trying to figure out. I'm a videographer. I guess the client just has to manually input the estimated hours or something
when you've finished up logging hours do you end the cotract?

Hi Jennifer. Your channel has very important information for us freelancers. I have a question: When I work by the hour, can I combine the options to add time manually and the tracker? Or can I only use one way?
Great question! Yes, you can use both the time tracker and/or add manual hours. Some clients disable the manual option. However, it is important to note That payment protection is only offered for hours tracked with the time tracker or if you take on a fixed price contract. I recommend only using manual hour option with clients you already trust and have established a relationship with.
can i add manual time after the weekly limit is reached?
So if the contract by millstone there is no time right?
Does anybody know how I can edit the hours I added manually? I added my hours on a wrong day, and I need to adjust that, but this new version of Upwork doesn't show any option to edit or delete.

You're welcome! It depends on the job type. If you're looking at a job that involves on-going hours, then I think hourly makes sense. For me, I do a lot of voice over jobs, so fixed-price allows me to give the client an exact number that they can expect to pay, and I can work at my own pace on it when I want.
but my tracker is not taking screenshot of my PC screen it is taking my picture for my web cam
I am using the time tracker but the client is not yet releasing the payment. Is that normal? also, how about jobs that cannot time track?
since in my country there is no such thing as hourly rate, i'm still confused about this system. I'd be glad if anyone answer my questions:
1. If I do hourly rate, does that mean if I finish the job faster, i'll get paid less? Let's say there is a $10/hour job that normally can be finished in 6 hours, but i can do it in 2 hours. So instead of getting $60, i only get $20 ?
2. How to determine how many hours that needs to do a job?
3. How to calculate my hourly rate?

Hi Jennifer! I work on Upwork doing varied jobs including transcription. My question is sometimes I get invitations and offers overnight while I’m sleeping or just too busy work on the projects. In your experience is it better to ignore or decline the offfer? Does it look better for my stats to at least decline and give a reason rather than ignore it? Thanks for your help 😊
Definitely decline the offers instead of ignoring them so it won't affect your response rate. :)

Hello, you are welcome! For that, you would start your time tracker when you start working on the task, and then stop working on the task after one hour and click "stop tracking". It's important that you use the time tracker while working instead of setting manual time. Adding manual time isn't payment protected, but using the time tracker is, since the time tracker takes screenshots of your computer and also tracks mouse clicks, etc.

let's say i have 2 monitors with me for work
1 for my main working monitor (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
and another one displaying googlechrome (for e-mails), WhatsApp, and discord application
does the tracker will also screencapture those apps?

Because Even-though I have dowloaded desktop app, it only record the laptop screen. Also I could not find a mobile version for time track
This is difficult. You may have to add manual time for the parts you can't record. I would discuss this with your client. Manual time added isn't payment protected, however. Or you could do work from your laptop. Some applications allow you to post from Instagram vis your laptop.

How to end a contract when an hourly job is completed?
For hourly jobs,who decide hourly rate, client or freelancer?
You can agree together on a rate. If you apply to a job that pays $15 an hour, that is probably the rate the client wants to pay. If you want to do a job for more or less than that, you can include that in your proposal what you hope to be paid.
Soo a client asked me what my rate per film minute is and I am not quite sure what it means can you pleasee help me please 🙏
What type of job is it? Video editing? If do, they mean how much do you charge per video minute of creation/editing.
Is there a way to work on hourly paid jobs without laptop? And ipad app time tracker? Or maybe manually show you’re working?
In this case you would have to log your hours manually.

Hello! You can ask the client to end the hourly contract and say you prefer to work with fixed contracts. They can then send you a fixed price contract instead. :)
