This is a tutorial video on how to download, install, and use Upwork Desktop Time Tracker App to Track Working hours for hourly projects on Upwork.
This video will help a lot of beginners who are new to freelancing on Upwork and who got hired on a hourly job.
In hourly contracts - you have to track your work times using the Upwork desktop app, so the client can see the screenshots, work logs of the project progress.

However the User interface of the upwork website you showed has changed a bit. e,g: the download Desktop app is located down in the page footer. Also it's just "Desktop app" not "time tracker with Desktop app". Regardless, I was able to apply your instructions successfully.

I have a question about time tracking. Do we start tracking time when we receive the brief and begin learning the job, or only when we start executing the work?
I have an offer for a Paid Ads job and I need to understand what they need, set up the ad manager, analyze the ad visuals, create an ad strategy, execute the ad, and create an ad report.
Would it be appropriate to start tracking time when I am still in the “understand what they need” phase?

I didnt understand about the 10 munite time tracking quota. Let's say I work 48 minutes? the tracker will get it as 40 minutes or 48 minutes?

Hello sir, my weekly limit hour is 15hr, can you explain, what if I tracked the time then the project is done so I stopped to track the time. Can I say to the client that "I'm done with the project"? and send to him or I'll wait for next week? To continue any changes?
Hi Monica, if the task is completed in less than 15 hours, you should stop tracking the time when the task is done and let your client know.
If you need more time to complete the task, after working 15 hours, you can ask your client to raise the number of hours.
If they approve - you can continue working on the task, and if they refuse - you have to send what is already completed and wait for the next week to work on the rest of the task.
