My husband's Electric Scooter Okinawa R35 Scooter battery burned on 10th June 2023.
It was an Ion Lithium detachable battery kept at my home.
Suddenly it started burning the whole room became full of smoke.
There was black dust everywhere in the room.
The other rooms also became dark.
We will have to paint the whole flat.
I am writing from Kolkata.
I am in a trauma.
Do not buy Okinawa. There are way better options maam.
Okinawa is not a best scooter

okinawa i praise + worst scooter i have purchased its only 7 months old built quality is not good detachable battery is ok option but thermal cooling is very important that is not here in the scooter 1 st of all okinawa is saying that they operate PAN india but if you go for any spare you wont find in first take
i faced a incident on 4.09.22 my scooter showed motor error & it failed on road RSA arrived after 3 hours after that i have reached to service centre the technician checked & said there is major problem of motor
the service centre person said i have to take the vehicle to the place where i purchased it at airoli he stated that he have already 3 vehicles with him for same issue motor problem he said company only says it peovides service PAN india but it takes too much time for spares he stated that if I motor is failed it takes 1 to 2 months for delivery its worst
2ndly the rear shock absorbers are worst its not comfortable it gives jerk in a small pit too
so my earnest opinion for new persons who are planning to buy 2 wheeler EV dont buy okinawa at all its worst brand buy bajaj,simple one or ather with thermal cooling system & proper motor cooling 🙏🙏🙏🙏
New update motor failed 🤔 now i have to wait till a month or two
2 times Battery problem in a year...4 month of year scooter in a workshop.....worst customer support by company

Okinawa has worst service think before you buy guys , brought praise in 2019 lead acid variant, with in 1000 km I faced so many problems suspension, wiring you name it .
Then they closed their dealership in town leaving us no place to service the vehicle ,
It’s been a constant struggle with this vehicle spent around 78k and only got 12k mileage from battery’s
Then I had to buy lithium ion battery to at-lest get get some worth out of vehicle so spent around 36k again.
So don’t go for this brand, they are not reliable.
