Great video! Even if you say it might feel like an essay, I really enjoyed the listen. I bought the Core game box and I'm going to play it for the first time later this week. As I'm going to play it at 2 players, I was going back and forth on how I wanted to play this. With your points on fun I've decided to play on co-op, so thanks for the practical advice as well.
I now appreciate the enemy tokens in Mage Knight and the tiles for the powers. Recently played Massive Darkness 2 and all those minis, cards, tokes etc. I appreciate more condensed as i do not have a gaming room.
Really great summary! Well done, thanks! And, your humour rocks. I agree that the size of it is a challenge. I agree that it should be considered a lifestyle game. To get this to the table, I set it up on a table I permanently leave up so it can stay up for weeks or months. Having a table it can be left set up on for a long time is a great idea for this game because it improves the "ease of access" problem you mention.
Grabbed the Cruel Frost with out playing core yet. 2nd KS just delivered and knowing it’s not going to retail, adding it the rest. Hopefully my group enjoys it.
I was thinking about this game, but only option to get it is strech pay, which kickstartert dosen't have... i wonder how much they loose due lack of this feature there...
I own 1st KS edition with elemental expansion, its a great game if you like games like Mage Knight or Heroes of Might and Magic, there is so much content in Core box that i realy dont know if you need other 2 expansions at all, if you think this is your grail game, go for it, but its expensive...Setup is only negative point i have, takes alote of time to prepare everything for game and then when you done to store it for next session....
First, I love your videos and your channel ❤. But for some reason this video seems like you’re talking out of both sides of your mouth. It feels like you’re trying to sell us on the game like it’s a paid promo.
I have to disagree. His is about the only channel I trust in the board game UA-cam world. He is struggling because he enjoys the game but there are issues that we need to know if we are interested in buying it.
He says "make the right decision for you" in the first thirty seconds. Presenting both positives and negatives isn't, "talking out of sides of your mouth" (implies duplicity), it's being a good reviewer so that the viewer can decide if it's worth it for them.
I think Chris’s take is great. It is totally consistent to say “this game is great” and “it might not be for you, and are you really going to play this?” Telling people that they only need one box and no expansions to get the experience while the company has a KS live selling an expansion definitely does not scream “paid promo”.
I disagree here - I don’t think this is paid, I would expect him to say that up front. What I think he’s struggling with is that in its nature, Euthia shouldn’t work at all, and it breaks the tenants of what he tends to look for. Conversely, he can’t fault it for what it’s doing well, and he doesn’t want to slap a “buy now” label on it given its literal physical size and scope. He loves it. But you have to be looking for this kind of experience, or you’ll end up being confounded.
What you’re feeling is valid. Others that can’t see it are blind, but it’s so clear he’s frustrated with the product. Right after the 30 seconds mentioned above he starts with his aggregations right off the bat up until the video has ended.
I like the idea of the game, but Id love the same thing condensed into a smaller box with minimal components....
This is one of the games which make me happy. There is nothing like this - heroes of might and magic but s board game.

Really interested by Euthia but more than 220€ with shipping and VAT is really a lot, really wish they had standee pledges.
I just wish it had a little less of everything. 1000+ tokens is too much for me
Already becked core and after the Talisman and Runebound cant wait this game! ^_^
this is a final Runebound version
@@blacezard2514 agree!

Great video!! Just great!
Weird that it was cancelled. I think the prices were a bit higher than what most expected. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens next
Too much. If I want an actual RPG experience I'd much rather play an RPG. More freedom, more options, more potential.
Have you been able to play Tales from the Red Dragon Inn yet?
I was thinking about this game, but only option to get it is strech pay, which kickstartert dosen't have... i wonder how much they loose due lack of this feature there...
You may have the option in PM. Best option at moment is pledge what you can now and rest in PM for what you can afford.

Ill play with you Chris!!! Pittsburgh is not too far from you!!!
Your use of exclamation marks is frightening.
Your extremely tardy response is frightening!!!
16:43 Agreed! 👍
