My Pampered Cheff cookies press is different from this one, but it was the WORST cookie press I have ever used. With dough correctly prepared-soft butter, room temp egg, etc., the first cookie looked good, and the rest came out in globs. It seems that with each cookie, the disk had to be cleaned. Ridiculous! I believe the problem is that the disks are thick plastic rather than thin metal that allows the dough to cut itself. I tried everything, and what I learned is that Pampered Chef should focus on what’s it good at: baking stones.
I have one from pampered chef. It’s the one with the trigger. Every year I think it’s going to work and it doesn’t. End up going back to my moms old aluminum one. I took it apart to clean and it doesn’t go back together. The only way it ever worked was to press very hard on the top to make it click and a few swear words. Help!
One thing that would help everyone immediately, the disc goes smooth side in, cut side out. I wish Pampered Chef would say this somewhere!
Came here to find this out.
I got the pampered chef cookie press for my birthday last month and just love it! Thanks for the video!
I need this as my new OXO press is so disappointing!
Unfortunately, Pampered Chef has discontinued the cookie press. Hopefully they will bring it back soon.

There is a definitely some trial & error with the cookie press but once you figure it out, it does its job well.
