I connect the DJI mic(wireless to the all in one) then connect by cable the wireless mic to my Sanamonic receiver.. that then allows me to use two more wireless sanamonic mics with/or without connected lapel mics. So far seems to work if interviewing someone , we both have mics. I do hear a slight feed back fuss noise when editing though. Is that comment on teh Pocket 2 anyway?
I already have the dgi wireless microphone, but there are two of us and we need another microphone, can I connect two microphones to the do it all handle? Thank you❤
Have you got the mic that comes with the pocket 2 creator combo? You can connect 2 mics, you could use something like the Rode Wireless Go II, Rode Wireless ME, Rode Wireless Pro or Hollyland Lark M1 or if you have the DJI dual set up you could use that. You just need to connect the receiver to the do-it-all handle
Any way to connect ulanzi j12 usb-c mic? I plugged the receiver in and the mic connected to the receiver but its not recognized by dji pocket. Had an idea to buy duo usb cable for my smartphone so i can connect dji pocket AND microphone receiver at the same time but bot sure if itll work
I don’t think you’ll be able to connect as it’s designed for a smartphone, but you could connect to your pocket and via Bluetooth and connect the mic into your phone?
hi, thanks , if i buy the unit alone, meaning no creator combo? can i still have many choices with the microphone options , rhode etc? does the " handle" as you say come with the basic unit ?
Perfect. Been having click issues on the sound when my wireless receiver has been plugged directly in to the "headphone" socket on the do it all doodad. Got all this working and hopefully it will be the workaround needed to get rid of the horrible click. Thanks.
my question is: if I connect the external microphone, will the camera record audio only through it or through it and the internal microphones at the same time? It's possible to connect 2 transmitters to this recever?
Yes you can still connect the mic, If you use the do it all handle you should be able to connect via Bluetooth using the DJI Mimo app, so you won’t need the little connectors.
If I want to do an interview, can I directly plug in a mic splitter into my DJI camera, and then plug in two lavalier mics into the splitter .. will this work? .. If so, are there any lav mics you'd recommend?
What’s the shot going to look like? Will you be behind the camera asking the questions or will both of you be in the shot? If you’re going to be behind the camera I recommend the rode wireless ME, because it has a mic in both the transmitter and the receiver (also has auto gain assist). So you can put one on your subject and then your audio will be picked up from the receiver as it has a mic as well. If your both going to be in the shot you could use the Rode Wireless Pro or Rode Wireless go 2. I would recommend these more than a mic splitter as your going to have a lot of cables and the risk of you / person your interviewing pulling them out even by accident is high. With the Rode GO II or Pro then you just plug the receiver in and you wear the transmitters. You could go a bit cheaper and get something like the Hollyland Lark M1. (I’ll do a video on this) Lav mics I like the Sony ECM LV1. Alternatively you could get a condenser mic and just put that In between you both or boom it. For ease I would go with a Rode or similar because of the freedom of movement. Hope that helps!
I am confused. You showed that, with the combo kit, you can turn on the camera and the mic and it works wirelessly. Then you showed how to use a TRS to connect a Rode receiver to the camera, and another TRS to connect the wireless mic to a Rode transmitter. What is the purpose of doing this if the DJI mic works wirelessly?
They sure make things complicated. I got the pocket 2, but had to have a specific phone to "register it" before I could even use the camera. Then I get an external microphone, and I can't even attach it unless I also purchase a do-it-all handle.. adding up in cost.. and the time it takes to research all this, go out and get all this stuff... it has delayed my filming big time... ridiculous
I do not understand the logic of this. If you already have the do-it-all handle and DJI mic, why would you want to connect a Rode receiver to the DJI mic?. Just more things to clip to your person, and another cable dangling. Also, another receiver to charge up!. Now, had you shown the Rode receiver fitted on a cold shoe connected to the do-it-all handle via a TRS/TRS cable I could have understood that. If you are outdoors vlogging (which is the intended use of the Pocket 2) you want to keep your setup as basic as possible!
I do not understand your reply, in your video you are only connecting to another mic via the P2 mic!, does this not equal recording via the mic using double the battery power?. 'What is the point of this video!
@@DavidWilsonOutandAbout there are 2 ways to connect an external mic to your P2, 1st is directly plug in the receiver to the do-it-all handle via a TRS/TRS cable, which is the easier way. 2nd option is when you don't have anything to mount the receiver on your P2, or you just simply don't want to have the receiver dangling on your P2, then you can connect your receiver to the P2 receiver via a TRS/TRS cable, and just throw those 2 receivers into your bag or your pocket, this option helps some people who doesn't own a cold shoe mount for their P2

I'm still shopping, but this is a legit solution if you need more than one mic. Not sure I would have thought of it. Cheers.

how can ı connect my saramonic microphone with pocket 2 ? if ı connect my saramonic receiver with cable can ı use two microphone ?
@emirvici just connecting the saramonic RX with cable to the Pocket 2. That's the easiest.

Rode Wireless Pro which VlogTechVibes mentioned. It is the standard if you watch Vloggers. I have it. I love it b/c it is so well organized.
Hi! I'm fairly new. Noob question, can I still connect wireless mic using type C and without the " do it all handle"? Appreciate the reply
no unfortunately not with the pocket 2, you have to use the do it all handle.
Can you connect an external mic on that jack on DJI pocket2
If you have the do it all handle then you can connect a microphone, you can’t connect it without
I'm considering mics for my pocket, and this was really helpful! thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Do you know if there is a way to connect the DJI MIC 2 to the Pocket 2? I've heard its not possible.
No it’s not possible unfortunately

No unfortunately you need to handle to attach a microphone. Otherwise there is no 3.5mm audio jack
Why not connect your Rhode directly to audio jack of Dji
You can do that as well

If you connect an external mic it will only record through the mic. Add your looking for two audio sources? If so you could use a dual wireless mic?

Which one?

My DJI mic is not working, how do I connect a non DJI mic to my pocket 2?
Does dji mic has noise cancelation
Not it doesn’t have noise cancellation
can you connect the mic to your iphone?

You can connect a mic using the 3.5mm jack on the extension handle via TRS to TRS cable
the Rhodes wireless mic isn't necessary though since the DJI mic is wireless
Thanks!!!
Thank you youre amazing!!! I finally know what that hole is for lol
Happy to help!
I'm not sure why you have the microphone connect to the Rode receiver. Wouldn't you just be able to use the DJI mic separately?
You can use it separately if you want, just another way to connect it
