  • Salesforce Calendar - how to show tasks & other records?
    Out of the box, Salesforce Calendar shows events only. But we can do a lot about it.
    Many times our users would like to see their tasks in their calendars besides events. You don't have to be a developer to configure this, because Salesforce Calendar makes it easy via point-and-click.
    Also you can set up filters so not all the tasks appear there but only the ones which satisfy the criteria. And in addition, you can include lots of other objects as well.
    In this video I can show you examples how you can do this.
    And I would be very curious about your custom solutions as well. Which objects you added to Salesforce Calendars and how you filter the records. Please share these in the comment section.

    Thanks for sharing. This video has lots of value in it. There was a roadblock where admin couldn't make 'My Task' calendar visible for all user on org level. However, it takes only about 3 minutes to login as user and to add the new calendar while setting up the fields configuration accordingly.
    Good story if you have to do this for limited number of users.

    Thanks, this is very helpful.
    As an Admin I think there must be a setting to apply newly created calendar to a list of users!

    Hi there! I have a question. How can one view tasks of other users. Right now, if we click on Other Calendars, we pick the user’s name and can see their events but not tasks. Is there anyway to be able to see other users tasks in calendar?

    Great video with useful business cases. Do you know if there is a way to set up the task calendar by default for the users or some specific users? Thank you.

      Thank you, Rodrigo. Unfortunately adding a new calendar to My Calendars is only possible on a user basis.

    Is there any way to see the lead name or account name of the task instead of subject?

      Yes, you have to select them in the field to display field when you set up the calendar.
