Woods V. I can’t put into words how much that album means to me. Easily top 10 all time. It punches me in the gut every time. Brings me to tears every time. I knew about them since their second album. But Grey Skies is my favorite. God damn I love that album so much.
Dark Tranquillity - We Are the Void (2010) Anthrax - Worship Music (2011) Testament - Dark Roots of Earth (2012) Deafheaven - Sunbather (2013) Behemoth - The Satanist (2014) Chelsea Wolfe - Abyss (2015) Omnium Gatherum - Grey Heavens (2016) Chelsea Wolfe - Hiss Spun (2017) Sleep - The Sciences (2018) Alcest - Spiritual Instinct (2019)
@@DarthGrimby Thanks! Alcest have the perfect blend of black metal, shoegaze, and post metal. The clean vocals really sell it. Loved your Woods of Ypres choice! It's impossible to choose just 10. I wanted to include Ghost's Opus Eponymous, High on Fire's Snakes for the Divine, and High on Fire's De Vermis Mysteriis.
This was a true p[easure to listen to, and made me discover a bunch of bands I didn't know! (I was into metal a lot and lately less, bcs I struggle to find things I truly like and I focused on different things, but I m always happy to find cool new albums to listen to and even more, new bands) You're a super chill duo, I love this format, please keep on doing this kinds of videos :) Thanks!
I'm pleasantly surprised to see Terminal Redux at the top of your list, that's also my #1, it's such a masterpiece, when it came out I was already expecting greatness and somehow they exceeded my expectations.
As someone who isn't a metalhead, I think it's kinda cool that one of the only metal albums I really got into the last decade happens to be both of your guys #1 lol
I did love that album, after feeling nonplussed about their first two full lengths. I think it was in my top 5 for that year, but didn't bubble up overall in my top 10. I did get to see them live on that album's touring cycle and it was a hell of show.

Yeah man absolutely, I still have a hard time even talking about it. David Gold was brilliant.
@@DarthGrimby I feel your pain man. Every time I spin that record I just break down. Rest In Power David Gold.
Long time no see 🤟hope you guys are doing alright 💯🌮
Thanks mate, we're hanging in there. :)

It may only be #12 but I'm glad to see Age of Excuse on here. My favourite for sure.

Really great stuff. Please do this same thing for other decades

I liked it fine dude, Ghost is just more of a Grimby band.
I miss RDO's hip hop reactions
Duuude glad you guys are back!!!!
Cool upload! But please get some decent microphone(s) for the next one. This was rather unbearable to listen to.
No worries dude. Was dreading the moment this comment would come up. And already resolved. All future vids we have better mics.
@@MetalbyteMedia Sweet! Looking forward to the next one!
@@rustycage- Right on dude! Thanks man and thanks for the comment.
I have a feeling that nobody is gonna watch videos about metal these days. I cant even remember the last time I heard a metal track
Metal is sorta dead
The last time I heard a metal track was right now, and all the time. It sorta will never die.
@@markrobinson7955 Its a niche genre at this point for sure
