I still remember like it was yesterday. I was around 11, in my older cousin's bedroom, and he was going through his vinyl records, Boston, April Wine, Huey Lewis and the News, then all of a sudden, Number of the Beast. That album cover blew me away.
I think AMOLAD is one of the greatest Iron Maiden albums. I feel like it is widely underrated. It doesn't have a bad song. It is a heavy and progressive album, and I think it needs a few listens before it really opens up.
Right on, has one flaw, too many repeat choruses, but the rest of it, musically, lyrically (imo their best) is so strong it catapults it up their list, its no. 2 for me, behind powerslave
Great album. It certainly comes in behind a few classics for me. To have a post 2000 Maiden album make it into the list of top 5 is very impressive. AMOLAD went over some heads I suspect...
@@meanrog20 sadly not only on this. I know Bruce has been through a lot, but Bruce should take a lesson from Halford how to use his vocal chords properly without sounding strained
Great video. I really like this format. It’s always interesting to hear why people like/dislike albums. Look forward to see more like this. “Piece of Mind” is easily the best Maiden album to me. It has a great flow and every song is epic. Yes, even “Quest for Fire.”
This album takes a lot of listening to to really get into it, With so many lengthy tracks it's hard not to get lost at first, but once you're familiar with it all, you start to realise that Sinjitsu is a pretty special album.
I was at that Brave New World show in Toronto. I met the band afterwards. I loved that performance, even though very few people showed up. Bruce nailed it. The previous show for Ed Hunter was mind blowing.
The guy on the left looks like Gary Holt & the one right looks like he’s in a viking metal band, plus our taste in Iron Maiden discography are pretty similar! The intro quote was funny considering I watched this video on 2 sit-throughs, the way you guys share your thoughts are just digestible, keep it up!
This is the first video I’ve seen by you guys and I absolutely loved it. What an interesting and often funny retrospective on the discography of one of the greatest metal bands of all time. I agreed with a lot of what you guys said, and could come to an understanding of things that I didn’t agree with. I think my top 5 maiden albums are: 1. Powerslave 2. Killers 3. Piece of Mind 4. Somewhere in Time 5. Number of the beast. Will definitely be watching more of your stuff!
As a long time fan of IM I think they have lost their way a bit. They've trying too hard to be a progressive rock band, rather than metal. There is always a massive amount of hype around new album releases, then it quickly fades and most fans go back to listening to older releases. One thing they still have going for them is they're still a great live band.
Great video guys. Really enjoyed this. Piece Of Mind is also my favorite. Their most "complete" record for me and Revelations is my favorite Maiden song period. The production for me is what elevates it above their other great records. The mix for me is just perfection. The analysis of X Factor I think was spot on too. There seems to be that same concensus that there's a much higher appreciation for that record now than there was at the time it was released. It's a great record and I'd definitely put it in my upper half. Dance Of Death is my favorite album since Bruce and Adrian returned which seems like an unpopular opinion. I think for me and being a guitarist I really enjoy the lead work on Dance Of Death. I love how there's trade off solos all over the place on that record. Just a really fun record for me and also the last tour I saw them on. Interestingly the analysis of possible leftover songs or ideas from previous albums is exactly what happened with Brave New World. I know Blood Brothers, The Merceneray and Dream Of Mirrors in particular were leftover ideas from the Virtual XI sessions and I can definitely detect some of Blaze's influence on BNW. BNW was the first live show I ever saw and it was an amazing night. Saw them at the MEN arena in Manchester England. Halford was the support act that night. Great show!
And what kept me watching? The love if Maiden, c'est tout! I get lots of "nerding out" Maiden stuff suggested on YT and it keeps me focused with work whereas music distracts me so thanks guys, I was able to get a bunch of "boring" tasks done this way!
Just now getting around to this one after catching y’alls Judas Priest review, another great discussion. My Top 5: 1) Somewhere In Time 2) Killers 3) Seventh Son of a Seventh Son 4) Iron Maiden 5) Powerslave Runner Ups: Brave New World and The X Factor and The Number of the Beast. I love Maiden’s synth albums, I think the synths gave those albums more scope and atmosphere. And by contrast, the Di’Anno albums have a grounded street grit from the lyrics, lo-fi production, Clive Burr’s drumming and Di’Anno’s singing persona.
Great video. Thanks. By the way, the monkey climbing mimic came from a fan at a show. When Dickinson sang the part, he noticed a fan mimicking the monkey climb. Dickinson noticed and liked it...then adopted it for the song.
AMOLAD is in my top 3. The honest, pure form of going to battle on the record. I never heard Maiden so sincere. It really is the sum. 9. Eddie is so small, because the theme is bigger than him. I love the whole idea.
Charlotte the Harlot is a weak song on the debut, for me. People have ripped better songs to shreds. And I agree the debut isn't quite great. 7 is a much more realistic rating for the 1st. Guys, Killers has 2 HUGE edges over the debut: 1--Adrian Smith replacing Dennis Stratton on guitar. Stratton was a bit messy. 2. Martin Birch's production is also a step up from the debut. Let's be fair: if Children of the Damned slows down Beast, then Prodigal Son slows down Killers (slower isn't bad if it is a quality track).
Seventh Son is their best, and not just because I also have fond memories of listening to it as a child. It simply is the tightest and most well-written record and it has the most complete and cohesive feel. Also, the synths are incorporated in an astonishingly tasteful fashion. 🤘🏼
This is extremely controversial but A matter of Life and Death is my favourite maiden album, to me this is where Bruce's voice was at it's absolute best as well
Big time Maiden fan since ‘83 and I just found your video. It was a fun show and I watched the whole thing! I pretty much agree with your opinions. Of course, the first 7 Maiden studio albums are iconic! I’ve enjoyed the direction Maiden has taken since Brave New World through the Book of Souls. Their weakest era was between No prayer For The Dying through Virtual XI; even though there are some great sons that were written during that time period!
Great video guys! I attended An Evening With Bruce Dickinson last night and let me tell you, his voice was as incredible. It bodes well for 3rd September
The climb like a monkey actually was the other way around. Some fans started the weird climbing like a monkey thing, and Bruce was like: That's funny, I'm gonna do that. Awesome to see a video like this, watched it all through. Why? Because I love people talking about Maiden.
Iron Maiden - 7/10 Killers - 7/10 The Number of the Beast - 10/10 - Invaders is unfortunate but I can't go less than 10 Piece of Mind - 9/10 - Don't shoot me. I've never been able to get into this album fully. Powerslave 9/10 - My teen self spent hours just staring at the cover art Somewhere in Time - 10/10 Seventh Son of a Seventh Son -10/10 No Prayer for the Dying - 8/10 - I think this has a charm that's hard to dismiss. Hooks in You is amazing! Fear of the Dark - 9/10 The X Factor - 7/10 - Too dark despite my love for Blaze Virtual XI - 5/10 Brave New World - 10/10 Rock in Rio 2001 - 10000/10 - Best live album I've ever heard, with En Vivo following behind, just barely Dance of Death - 9.5/10 - Too many extraordinary songs to even be a 9. Paschendale. Dance of Death. No More Lies... A Matter of Life and Death - 9/10 The Final Frontier - 10/10 - My favorite. Not one weak moment. I love this album. The Book of Souls - 9/10 - It's taken me years to appreciate this and I'm starting to adore the album. Senjutsu - Probably a 10/10 just based on the 2 tracks I've heard!
Matter of life and death is a solid 9 for me. And i totally buy your comment about the fact that this is an album experience. Songs seperated like Brighter.. longest day... or especially Lord of light are amazing on their own... But when they are amongst the other tracks, they make the sum a masterpiece to me. My only down side is The pilgrim. I found it to be the weakest closing track for maiden. But not a bad song though.
That guy - "first album is better than Killers" "Who's the puppeteer on Number?" Me - "Jesus, this is gonna be hard to take..." That guy - "Run to the Hills is racist!" Me -"Jesus Christ!!.. I gotta go do my laundry"
Had the Priest/ Iron Maiden "discussion" many times. It's funny how americans chose Priest over Maiden many times, while most europeans go for Maiden over Priest 🤷🏻 Not a single bad word for JP but i'll choose Maiden any day...I'm from the Netherlands btw 😄
1. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son 2. Piece of Mind 3. Powerslave 4. The Number of the Beast 5. Somewhere in Time 6. Fear of the Dark 7. Iron Maiden 8. The X Factor 9. No Prayer for the Dying 10. Killers 11. Brave New World 12. A Matter of Life and Death 13. Virtual XI 14. Dance of Death 15. The Book of Souls 16. Senjutsu 17. The Final Frontier
Climb like a monkey always struck me as weird in death or glory, until I learned it was a quote by the Red Baron to boast about his planes ability to climb in elevation, in which I immediately changed my tune and thought it was a bad ass line, and my love for the song is now unbridled, definitely my favorite of the 3 songs about plane dogfighting, yes even above aces high, and definitely above tailgunner, tailgunner is one of my least favorite maiden songs for some reason
Excellent analysis of each album. I could hear you guys talking Maiden for hours and hours. The only thing is I actullay liked Blaze. Some people hated him but even though he wasn't right for maiden in the end, he did well during his time.
Hey guys! Awesome video! I could watch things like this for hours! Just want to comment on the “favourite album being the one that we find in our early years”. That’s exactly why I always choose the debut album as my number. Mum discovered maiden in London before they were famous and had the first two albums, but stopped once Bruce came into the band. I got her back into maiden when I started listening to NOTB and POM etc. anyway haha when I first heard the debut I was honestly blown away. At the age of 14 it was just the heaviest and most technical thing I’d ever heard. 15 years later and it’s still in my top 3 albums of all time 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Also: the first tour with the ed force one plane was 2008/2009 Somewhere back in time world tour. I saw the plane at an airport and nearly died 😂😂
How can you rate Fear of the Dark lower than No Prayer for the Dying? Especially after you mentioned No Prayer for the Dying is their worst album...? A sentiment I agree with btw, and actually rate it lower than a 6. How much lower is hard to say as I still love Maiden so much but like a 4 or 5 is where I rate it. Fun fact, Fear of the Dark was the first Iron Maiden album I ever bought and while I certainly liked it I acknowledge it's far from their best. Still, far from their worst too, I personally think it's a 7, so much closer to your 7.5 than 6/3(without the titular track). I also remember the first time I heard The X Factor and Virtual XI and was like 'WTF, this isn't Maiden'. I mean I wasn't really following metal news or anything at that point so I had no idea Bruce Dickinson left the band due to his throat cancer and all that. Even today that I know the whole story I still don't really register those 2 albums as Maiden albums. I don't know what it is exactly, as I did very much register the Di Anno albums as Maiden albums(listening to them after Fear of the Dark and Powerslave) but never the Blaze albums for whatever reason. I guess I should give those 2 albums a shot now that I'm a much bigger metal head than I was back than and now that I've listened to dozens of different metal bands across all its different subgenres. Maybe it's my fascination with all sorts of metal subgenres but I really don't mind Maiden's longer songs, in fact I tend to like them more than the super short ones. I feel that Dance of Death is Bruce Dickinson at his best when it comes to story telling. Dance of Death and Passchendaele are 2 of Bruce's best story songs, along with Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner which makes sense given it's a poem.
Be Quick or Be Dead is one of my all time favorite songs from them, I would’ve definitely rated Fear of the Dark higher :) loving to hear the opinions anyway :)
1. Number of the Beast 2. Powerslave 3. Piece of Mind 4. Killers 5. Somewhere in Time 6. Iron Maiden 7. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son 8. Brave New World 9. Fear of the Dark 10. The Final Frontier 11. Dance of Death 12. A Matter of Life and Death 13. The Book of Souls 14. No Prayer for the Dying 15. The X Factor 16. Virtual XI
I can jive with this list. But you gotta throw more love at AMOLAD. Give it another spin this weekend, really listen and not just background music. It’s so good!
To answer your question at the end, I watched the whole thing. My friend and I are both listening through the whole discography (I've been a fan for a few years now, she hasn't heard a lot of them before this and a concert we went to last year). We're both working in secret on tier lists for the albums and going to share them with each other later. I've basically been listening to only maiden the last month or so and unfortunately I don't know many people who listen to metal to discuss things like this with, so watching a video like this is fun to finally hear peoples' thoughts. And the stories that go along with listening to them to, which unfortunately I don't have many yet. My opinions are the most similar to Darth's. My favorite albums are Seventh Son, NotB, Powerslave, and AMOLAD. The thing I disagree the most with are I don't like SiT very much, idk I've given it a shot many times. And I think NPftD is a lot better than people give it credit for, it's like the fast food version of Iron Maiden, it's not their best music in the world but, it still goes really hard imo. I think it just catches a lot of unfair stray bullets for being worse than their amazing run right before it.
Thanks for the time put into this. I agree I would love the prog era more if some of the repetitiveness. If Satellite 15 and Final frontier followed the 'If Eternity should fail' into, it would be a much better experience.
My number 1 is definitely 7th son by far So I went and listened to the blaze stuff 😩😩😩😩 oh boy ….. bad , very bad . Great video ,love it ,and look forward to seeing you again ✔️✔️✔️
As Maiden fans we all have our own opinion on what our favourite Is whether its a certain album or a certain song of an album its all about loving what Iron Maiden does.
You only talked about the singer changes, but totally missed a huge point when analyzing Maiden: the impact of Adrian Smith! He is a key part in songwriting and the sound of the band. He brings heaviness and tightness to the overall sound of Maiden, and has great melodic sense and phrasing when soloing. He was definitely a huge factor in that Brave New World was such a big step-up from the 90s albums, with Bruce's return of course.
16. Virtual XI 15. The X factor 14. No prayer for the dying 13. The final frontier 12. The book of souls 11. Fear of the dark 10. Dance of death 9. A matter of life and death 8. Iron Maiden 7. Killers 6. Brave new world *This is where the list gets really hard and the top5 variates for me* 5. Powerslave 4. 7th son of a 7th son 3. Number of the beast 2. Piece of mind 1. Somewhere in time
Thank you 2 gentlemen for making my day at work a whole lot more entertaining 😂 Somewhere in Time is my favorite Iron Maiden release. I’ve been listening to Fear of the Dark a lot lately due to all the backlash it gets and it has started to grow on me. Yes there are terrible songs on that album but some great gems too. Childhoods end is a great song! Cheers 🍻
No1 Beast... The best metal album in history. No2 seventh son... Perfection. No3 Powerslave.. Brilliance. No. 4.killers... Punk metal at its best. No. 5 Mind.... So melodic a melodic masterpeice No 6 somewhere in time. Futuristic fabness. No7 Iron Maiden... Just fantastic.
My favorites are Powerslave, Somewhere In Time, and....No Prayer For The Dying - yeah, I said it...sometimes I want to skip the 7 minute songs that take 3 1/2 minutes to start going strong and No Prayer does that. You can find an album in their catalog that fits your current mood and I love that about Iron Maiden.
Chuck, a black kid from a rough part of Cleveland, knew every word to G n R's Use Your Illusion I and II by the end of freshman year, living right next to me in the dorm😂😂
I may have checked this out before, Rick and RDO, I forget but here I am again and funnily enough, when talking about leftovers here in reference to Iron Maiden vs. Killers or X Factor vs. Virtual XI, Brave New World has allegedly (and partly confirmed by Adrian, actually) 3 or 4 leftovers (Blood Brothers, The Mercenary, Dream of Mirrors and The Nomad) from the Virtual XI sessions. where Blaze is uncredited, oh the irony! Stare at the Sun off his first solo was written for the his 3rd Maiden album.

@@suprchickn7745 hell, even deja vu: "feels like i've been here before, feels like i've been here before, . . . " that's 3 songs from somewhere in time. one time my cousin brought up he didn't like the blayze bailey stuff because of the repetitive choruses, and i pointed out they had been doing it before then, and he conceded the point. i think it's more noticeable to someone if they don't like the song, but maiden loves the repetitive choruses.
Iron Maiden is unbeatable. In my opinion, no other band compares. I was introduced to Maiden 30 years ago after hearing Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priest and a few others. I heard Seventh Son of a Seventh Son and that was it. I was infatuated with the band. I liked Judas Priest as well, especially the Metalworks compilation and Painkiller. But... I still listen to Maiden daily.
Comment on AMOLAD is spot on, and it's a fantastic album; the sum is greater than the whole of its parts it is even truer for TFF, which in my opionion is a tribute album to rock'n'roll and it's also a concept album about leaving behind our beloved Earth. I personally like NPFTD, it is unfailrly underrated. Also TXF aged well.
I really enjoyed your reviews of all the albums by my all-time favourite band. For the record (no pun intended), my least favourite is No Prayer, and my favourite is 7th Son. I also highly rate The X Factor, I f*cking love that album. I really like Senjutsu, much better than Book Of Souls for me.
Bruce started flying the band around in 2008, the tour prior to this album coming out. The entire Flight 666 live album/video/documentary is about that tour which preceded this album.

Dance of Death 6. Somewhere in Time 5. Killers 4. The Number of the Beast 3. Piece of Mind 2. Powerslave 1. Seventh Son of A Seventh Son
So I stopped listening to Maiden after Fear of the Dark really. but Seventh Son was the first album where I listened to from start to finish without just listening to just the "hits" and still love it to this day. Powerslave I grew to like better now than I did back then, and Somewhere in Time I did not enjoy that much in the 80s, would probably need to give it another try. And yes, it's 5:15am and I just finished watching the whole thing. Well done
I contest in the strongest possible terms that the era of repetitive choruses began with Brave New World...Running Free...Wrathchild...Run To The Hills...The Number of The Beast...Deja-Vu...The Angel & The Gambler...ok there may have been less, but they've always been lurking about!
Yo Dude, mad props and all but only 1 album tops BNW in the repeated lyrical phrases camp, and thats Virtual XI. The s/t debut and classic era arn't even close...
@@MetalbyteMedia Utmost respect for you - but we must be listening to different bands! I should note that it isn't by any means a criticism on my part, (of either the band or your ratings) but I do think that people often view the earlier material through rose tinted glasses and overlook the obvious flaws on the grounds that it was, quite simply, setting the boundaries. These days it mostly plays within them (although if the inside buzz about Senjutsu is to be believed that may be about to change). I have been a hardcore fan since '86 but I fail to see how dreaming in black and white or showing no fear is any different to feeling like I've been there before or running free...

Great video. I really like this format. It’s always interesting to hear why people like/dislike albums. Look forward to see more like this. “Piece of Mind” is easily the best Maiden album to me. It has a great flow and every song is epic. Yes, even “Quest for Fire.”
Just thinking of that song now renders me ill at ease.
Grimby don't say that to this man of culture.
Piece Of Mind is an ALMOST perfect album. Quest For Fire is an abomination.
Quest for fire kicks ass.
" In a time when Dinosaurs walked the earth..."
That is balls to the wall.
Piece of Mind takes number 1 in my book as well.
I don't mind Quest for Fire. The guitar melodies in the middle of the song are pretty dope. I actually prefer it to Sun and Steel.
Glad to hear someone else sees that Nomad is the best song on Brave New World! Such a good tune!
Same here!
Not me!
RDO is crazy. Nomad rules! Especially the middle instrumental section, that part is like sex for your ears.
@@DarthGrimby I want to unread that. lol
@@MetalbyteMedia thin line between love and hate is better
What kept me listening? The dulcet tones of your voices obviously.
This album takes a lot of listening to to really get into it, With so many lengthy tracks it's hard not to get lost at first, but once you're familiar with it all, you start to realise that Sinjitsu is a pretty special album.
I watched all the way to the end. Great video. I dig the chummy laid back vibe. Subscribed
Would love to see more of these, really enjoyed it!!!!
I absolutely love grimby’s stories and rdo’s funny little comments like saying “Jee-SUS” when he gave NPFTD a 4, you guys are great😂
I was at that Brave New World show in Toronto.
He DOES look a little like Gary Holt haha good spot
Good to hear the love for 7th Son. I grew up with these guys and this album is my favorite to this day.
This is the first video I’ve seen by you guys and I absolutely loved it. What an interesting and often funny retrospective on the discography of one of the greatest metal bands of all time. I agreed with a lot of what you guys said, and could come to an understanding of things that I didn’t agree with. I think my top 5 maiden albums are:
1. Powerslave
2. Killers
3. Piece of Mind
4. Somewhere in Time
5. Number of the beast.
Will definitely be watching more of your stuff!
Cheers dude, thanks for watching! Solid top 5 man!
@@MetalbyteMedia absolutely! Been checking out some of your guys’ other content and it’s great. Also, thank you! Cheers!
What kept me listening was to compare ur opinions to mine in preparation for Senjutsu!!
Great show!
This video is awesome. I'm a big fan of Iron Maiden and I really enjoyed it. I hope you both continue doing this kind of work.
I enjoyed listening to both of you! I can tell you guys are huge fans , as much as I am!
My Top 5:
1) Somewhere In Time
2) Killers
3) Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
4) Iron Maiden
5) Powerslave
Runner Ups: Brave New World and The X Factor and The Number of the Beast.
I love Maiden’s synth albums, I think the synths gave those albums more scope and atmosphere. And by contrast, the Di’Anno albums have a grounded street grit from the lyrics, lo-fi production, Clive Burr’s drumming and Di’Anno’s singing persona.
Great list and summary dude. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Thanks. By the way, the monkey climbing mimic came from a fan at a show. When Dickinson sang the part, he noticed a fan mimicking the monkey climb. Dickinson noticed and liked it...then adopted it for the song.
To me, Prodigal son is by far the most underrated song of Iron Maiden. Also, that is the song in wich Di'Anno really shines
I think Paul really shines on that song too, so I really didn't get that moment in the video
You guys nailed it with somewhere in time! My favorite maiden album by far!
This saved my evening. UA-cam needs more people talking about Maiden.
Seventh Son is their best, and not just because I also have fond memories of listening to it as a child. It simply is the tightest and most well-written record and it has the most complete and cohesive feel. Also, the synths are incorporated in an astonishingly tasteful fashion. 🤘🏼
Well said Jan..it is my first tape purchase..never waned. Pure class..heavy melodic and epic in equal measure.👾
Last of the great albums. The end of maiden for me.
This is extremely controversial but A matter of Life and Death is my favourite maiden album, to me this is where Bruce's voice was at it's absolute best as well
You guys didn't mention the most kick ass banger on Dance, Montsegur.
A Matter of Life of Life and Death is a masterpiece. Awesome album cover.
Great cover, mediocre songs. Repetition, repetition, repetition.
Watched it all ,great job!!
Enjoyed that, thanks. For me, Number, Piece, Power and Somewhere is one of the all time best album runs ever. So strong. Love them all.
Iron Maiden - 7/10
Killers - 7/10
The Number of the Beast - 10/10 - Invaders is unfortunate but I can't go less than 10
Piece of Mind - 9/10 - Don't shoot me. I've never been able to get into this album fully.
Powerslave 9/10 - My teen self spent hours just staring at the cover art
Somewhere in Time - 10/10
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son -10/10
No Prayer for the Dying - 8/10 - I think this has a charm that's hard to dismiss. Hooks in You is amazing!
Fear of the Dark - 9/10
The X Factor - 7/10 - Too dark despite my love for Blaze
Virtual XI - 5/10
Brave New World - 10/10
Rock in Rio 2001 - 10000/10 - Best live album I've ever heard, with En Vivo following behind, just barely
Dance of Death - 9.5/10 - Too many extraordinary songs to even be a 9. Paschendale. Dance of Death. No More Lies...
A Matter of Life and Death - 9/10
The Final Frontier - 10/10 - My favorite. Not one weak moment. I love this album.
The Book of Souls - 9/10 - It's taken me years to appreciate this and I'm starting to adore the album.
Senjutsu - Probably a 10/10 just based on the 2 tracks I've heard!
When Senjutsu comes out you guys should review the songs and give your opinion.I really enjoyed watching this video :) up the irons!
Grimby nailed it : Remember tomorrow and the 2 minute section in the Nomad: absolute perfection !
Piece Of Mind is my favorite album from Maiden love it all the way through and was also my first concert with Quiet Riot opening, great memories
I love the title song of No Prayer For The Dying, one of my favorite Maiden song.
Very underrated song!!
That guy - "first album is better than Killers"
"Who's the puppeteer on Number?"
Me - "Jesus, this is gonna be hard to take..."
That guy - "Run to the Hills is racist!"
Me -"Jesus Christ!!..

13:30 Steve said in an interview he felt Total Eclipse to be the stronger song and wished he swapped it with Gangland.
Dude I never noticed Seventh Son has the other covers as frozen statues!
I had a lot of fun listening to this :D
15 years later and it’s still in my top 3 albums of all time 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Also: the first tour with the ed force one plane was 2008/2009 Somewhere back in time world tour. I saw the plane at an airport and nearly died 😂😂
Somewhere in Time is my favorite Iron Maiden album.
It's the middle ground between the more straight Metal songs and Seventh Sons concepts.
Chemical Wedding is my favorite album. Period. Thanks for giving it a mention!
It’s way way better. I’m glad I didn’t bother watching this ranking. Fear Of The Dark is a great album. I’ll defend it until the day I die
Be Quick or Be Dead is one of my all time favorite songs from them, I would’ve definitely rated Fear of the Dark higher :) loving to hear the opinions anyway :)

20:07 I remember every time I heard that subliminal phrase, it gave me the chills.
Awesome dude! Good luck listening to the discog, if you're a fan its really an enjoyable process. Thanks for the support!
Thanks for the time put into this. I agree I would love the prog era more if some of the repetitiveness. If Satellite 15 and Final frontier followed the 'If Eternity should fail' into, it would be a much better experience.
Fair play lads great work 👍👍

A matter of life of death is my second favourite after somewhere in time.
I love it really much too. It's really a unit.
Maiden would be nothing without Smith

Stare at the Sun off his first solo was written for the his 3rd Maiden album.

maiden was doing the repetitive choruses before brave new world. caught somewhere in time ring any bells?
And... "Heaven Can Waaaaait, heaven can waaaaait"...

Well done
So were you up early or stayed up late? Thanks for watching and Those 3 albums are like the Holy Trinity.
What kept you watching? Also yes please revisit Somewhere in Time. It’s solid.
A mix of listening to you guys banter and a mix of the subject being a band I like, but not that familiar with the latest stuff.
@@williampanic8292 Hey dude, all Im saying is the repeated lyrical phrase issue was the worst on Virtual XI and BNW, nothing else. I like all the albums really. And here's the count if you're curious. Cheers man. www.reddit.com/r/ironmaiden/comments/p55wz5/per_album_count_of_repeated_3_worded_lyrical/?

Now you've got to do a Bruce solo albums video.

Me too, Piece Of Mind is my favorite album, probably because it's the first Iron Maiden album i ever heard, i was 10 years old in 1983.
