It is really unfortunate that Dr.M BALAMURALIKRISHNA has not been conferred with Bharat Ratna, though in the minds of connoisseurs and scholars in the field of Music, he is one. A true gem of extraordinary merit in rendering and authoring several Kritis of great import with consummate ease was, Sri Bala Muralikrishna Sir. Truly blessed were the celebrity poets of yester -years whose script and tunes were sung by Samgeeta Kalanidhi MBK, with a mellifluous voice, decorated with exceptional melody and devotion filled with unparalleled dexterous precision, much like a learned Ghanapati, who utters Vedic Hymns with mathematical accuracy. We are all highly indebted to Sri Srinivasa murty for excavating the vast treasures of Dr.MBK, to present for posterity, a legacy that is nearly made eternal with his superhuman effort.🙏🙏🙏

Aj aye shyam , soulstirring. This was Murali at his peak in his career. He was playing even the 3rd octave with great ease. His Music was always delicious, melodious and started being divine around this time. Thanks a lot for the fine effort in restoring this concert !!
Every time i listen to the great PurandaraDasa's Enumadidarenu , should i be driven to despair.....Maynot... be ... because there is still hope of his benevolence....
One of the very interesting aspects of BMK's music his scholarly exposition of swaras which lends itself to some series in a mathematical sense... If we analyse the swara patterns , one can visualize the kind of imagination he possessed which is un-parallel in the history of music. These patterns not only indicate uniqueness but also the way the raga is explored with combinatorial analytics.These type of Geniuses are not trained but they are born very rarely. We are fortunate to have witnessed this genius in our lifetime and i pray the almighty to bless Mr.Sreenivas Murthy ....
This is absolutely correct.. Like an illiterate, I used to plot graphs for His swaras and SEE the beautiful pictures, while the ears & heart are filled with joy. Not sure whether Mathematics is born out of His swaras or vice versa... We are all still 'living' with the breath He left for us... 🙏🙏🙏
