Can we change this sentence into passive? If Yes. How can we change? Because it does not have an object and the main verb lived is an intransitive. 👨🏻‍🏫 Hello, Caterina. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Your example sentences are almost correct. This is how I would write them: ‘Our mother DIDN’T / DOESN’T allow us to wear jeans.’ ‘Our mother WON’T allow us to wear jeans.’ I hope this is helpful for you.

2: "This computer breaks down every month." is correct because we use the present simple to describe a regular action or habit and the frequency of that action. (every month)
Sentence 1: "This computer is broken down every month." We are using the passive present tense to form an adjective from the verb break. (broken). So we are describing the state of the computer with the verb "be" + the adjective "broken" .
Grammatically, "This computer is broken down every month." is correct, but it is quite strange to describe the frequency of a state.
We can say "This computer is often broken down."
