Just got mine, whoever did the parts to instructions list was high was a kite , the picture says "side frame back bar", but checking the parts list there is no such thing as a side frame back bar, also my front frame did not come pre assembled. thank you for this video
I recently put one together and the front bar panel coming pre-assembled was a huge time saver versus my older one. The washers coming separately is an eye opener for me. I didn’t use any of them because I had no clue what they were for and the video direction moducase told me to use for assembly didn’t reference them. Didn’t seem to hurt anything to leave them out as it was easy enough to tighten everything down. I put a $2000 piece in the DF60 so sealing it in a dust free environment was great.
they are great for keeping the dust out! Im happy you managed to get them together just fine without the washers. Im not sure how important they really are.
love that you do all kinds of the moducases on your channel. Thanks for the effort, buddy! This really helps and add's some extra value for the community! Keep it up! ^_^
hey! thanks a lot for your kids words, means a lot. Im just happy to see so many with moducase now. When I started doing this 3 years ago, almost no one knew about them.
@@thecollector7347 you know, Bryan should really employ you as Moducase ambassador ;-) man, i just got my first DF 60 and need some 120s soon. So it's beautiful to have your videos as reference in the future when assembling. So yeah, i'm really happy you doing these, buddy! ^_^
@@buzzleichtbier6900 haha, I talk to Bryan a good bit. I even helped him to design the Sixth series. Im happy to see so many people getting them. Moducase wasn't really much of a thing when I started getting them. Hopefully I will have more content soon with their upcoming products
videos have been very helpful. two questions: do the screws come installed already because I have purchased two kits and neither have had them installed, I had to put them in. Second, I was given the small spotlights in both kits, not the strip lighting. Do we get a choice?
Moducase has recently changed over how they do the screws, some rails have become damaged in shipping and screws couldn't be removed. so now they come separate. You do get to choose your lights when you order direct from moducase, not from other dealers. But you can order just the strip lights from moducase and change them over if you like, very simple.
Hi are the other 4 plastic acrylic seal strips (weather strips) worth putting in the rails? I didn’t see you put them in in the double rails or the front frame
Hey! I did put those in my first moducase, and I didn't put them in my others ( its for dust proofing) You caught me in an experiment lol. Im waiting to see if there's any difference in one VS the other
Another question, do you have the enhancement rod installed in any of your cases, the one where you can go up ont he weight you case can hold. I just got mine in for my df60s and its confusing how to install them.
Hey, I dont have that, everything I own is light enough that Im not worried about the weight. Maybe I could do a video on it just for the purpose to help out tho
I’m currently getting ready to build out my display case setup and I am basically building it from scratch so have a lot of options. My initial plan was to have the bottom shelf at floor level. The more I have been toying around with designs I am leaning towards putting storage underneath and raising the first level up to improve visibility maybe about 15” off the floor. The con of this is I am loosing display space. My collection is mostly 1/6 and 1/12 scale so nothing really big. Thoughts on first shelf height?
I think storage is a good thing, moducase does sell those to..but if that means less space for displaying that you need, then always go for more space for the collection is my thought.
Hey man, thanks for the vids on the moducase setups, they've been a big help for me. A quick question, do you happen to know if moducase sells additional black panels for their cases. I'm thinking about a corner setup where I have two walls of moducases meet, but only at the corner of each unit. So there would be no corner unti linking the two, it would just looked like they were linkg. I don't want to have to spend hundreds of dollars for esentially empty cases that will link the two units, anything I display there wouldn't look great either. I just want to have no cases there, to where I would have a black panel so you can't see the deadspaces of the room corner.
hey! they do have corner cases as an option. But if its just the panel you want, I would reach out to them, I dont think they will have any problems sending you a panel. They have replacement parts, so this shouldn't be any different.
@@thecollector7347 thanks, will do that, I kind of like the idea of the corner cabinets but I feel like the view would be upstructed and they would be underutilized, spending $1000 bucks on a tower that won’t be used is a little extreme.
Yo! Thanks for this, I'm pretty keen on getting one. I have the Symbiote Spiderman from Sideshow, and he's 24" / 61CMs tall. Big boy...It says the total height of this is 25 ", but is that 25" of useable space that fits a 24" statue?
Hey man I just had a question as I see you’re pretty experienced with moducase how much weight can a DF 120 carry I understand they recommend about 60 pounds but I seen some people sit on top of a moducase so what is it’s true max capacity
hey, so I would stick to the 60-70 pounds as a Maxx weight, unless you goto their MAXX line. I haven't done any tests myself to see the breaking point of the DF line.... maybe that's a test worth doing sometime. Tho most people dont collect things that get to be that heavy. Statues are most likely the heaviest and I feel you'd run out of room in the case before reaching any breaking point.
I haven't really had much of an issue with mine scratching. Maybe I dont look at it closely enough. But you can find an acrylic cleaner on amazon. I have only had to wipe them with a microfibre cloth.
Has anyone here installed the enhancements to increase the max weight to 30kg? The instructions they included are awful and I was wondering if there are any video examples out there, haven't found any myself.

Thank you for this. I got my first DF60 this week and your video helped me put it together hassle free. 😀
really happy I was able to help :)
Extremely helpful. Just ordered my first two Hot Toys. Planning displays for when my collection grows.
that's the best thing to do, I wish that option was around when I started to collect

if you need something taller, check out the DF130. the measurements are not inside but the overall case size
Mine didn’t come together whole reason I was here lol
Is this showcase 100% airtight? Have you ever had a problem with dust inside them?
none, 3 years later... no dust
