Summer really is the perfect time for a coming of age story. I’ll definitely be checking out I was a teenage slasher after hearing how much you enjoyed it. There were some fun kills in Cotton Candy Massacre. I’m sure you’ll really like The Forgotten Island! 🏝️ Great list!
Yes to I was a teenage slasher! I think it comes out in a month or so. I know I only read 2 Sodergren, but at this point I feel he can do no wrong

I’m reading Cotton Candy Massacre this weekend! Summer’s such a great time for horror. My favourite summer horror is Ghost Summer by Tananarive Due. I’m also really anticipating House of Bone and Rain by Gabino Iglesias set to release early August.

Gosh I just love summer vibes in horror so much. Maybe even just as much as the Halloween season! I read Fantasticland in May and for being a novel where you’re not there in the middle of the gruesome scenes, I still felt the retellings of people’s memories so disturbing, especially the scenes in the hotel! Eek! I NEED TO GET TO FORGOTTEN ISLAND 🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️

IT is definitely a perfect summer read. Slasher Witch At the Waterpark sounds like fun! Confessions - OMG, yes! I could not put it down, either. I can't wait to read I Was a Teenage Slasher. Great recommendations to hit all those summer vibes.
I feel like there are so many more summer ones I want to get to. Summer and fall go by so quickly
Great list Kritz! Even though it is winter down here you have given some great recommendations. I purchased Fear very recently and it does sound like a great coming of age story. Wasps in The Ice Cream is on my kindle and I want to read it soon. I'm saving The Cotton Candy Massacre for Halloween! Love me some evil clowns. 😂 Paradise Club sounds really awesome, added to my tbr. Joyland is such a beautiful book! Carni sounds fun and love her channel. The Drive-In is so much crazy fun. Off Season is terrifyingly awesome! The Forgotten Island is also a Sodergren book I need to read. Awesome video!
I think you will enjoy Fear, Cliff. As soon as I finish the several books I am in the middle of, I think I'm getting into the Drive-in. They are short, and I'm excited for them. AND GIVE ME ALL THE DAVID SODERGREN! I'm obsessed
