    Do you think you will try SteamOS on your handheld?

      @KillerCam1020 I did that on the original steam deck I had steamos and windows. I don't think I can fully step into steam until they allow PUBG lol. It's the only game I really play. Now I have the legion go but I haven't even really played too much on it

    I just got my Legion Go last Thursday and i must say, this device is amazing. For me it is a multi purpose device. It is a gaming handheld, powerful tablet pc and an extension for any existing desktop pc. What i currently do is play games that are easy to run locally on the device and everything else i simply stream of my main gaming rig which allows me to play any steam game at 120 fps on this device. Streaming a game works surprisingly well and i can highly recommend it.

      I run my LLGO in win 10 mini, and I use it only as game-cloned-synced device for my current PC Gamer ATX, so if I want to play with friends or in traveling now I can.
      I feel tablet mode it's not practical and I use iPhone and iPad, or Android phone to do web searching and transfer ROMS, or mods to my games with local send, anyway this new data gets mirrored to my PC with Syncthing, the only thing that is difficult it's to convert the LLGo from a Windows Machine to a multi console: steam app, Epic store, Emudeck, Bluestacks and the Syncthing workflow.

      I was just running RDR2 with half ultra, half medium settings, on 1200p res. It was hitting a solid 60fps. This system is an absolute beast. I grew up in the late 80s and 90s so the ability to play AAA PC titles on any handheld device, much less it running anything higher than the lowest settings, is a dream of a 90s child we thought we wouldn't see until our elder years. I cannot, and will not, complain.

    What is big downside is that i can't use lossless scaling on it in bazzite... it's a program that allows you to framedouble and upscale outside the game's own settings.. but it's windows only... guess i'll install tiny11....

    I have dropped Bazzite in favor of CachyOS Handheld edition. The Arch linux core offers standardized approach for trouble shooting as all Arch linux OS are the same. Bazzite is too special and quirky for you to fix something that doesnt work.

    So I just got a legion go! I’ve always been a Mac user for my filmmaking and photography career.
    I am new to gaming when it comes to PC play. Of course I have a Xbox series X but rarely play it because it’s stationary.
    If you were me would you keep the Legion Go(haven’t opened yet) OR get a steam deck(because ROG Ally is out of budget).
    I love NBA 2K etc but I don’t care to try new and different games if I can’t play them on steam. I just want a simple experience and Legion doesn’t seem simple. lol however watching this video I could have both worlds

      I have Steamdeck and a Go. I mainly just use the Go now. I did have to get some grips for the Go, because it was not as comfortable to hold, but they were only $20 and fixed that problem. I mainly only use the Go now, that i have Bazzite and only sometimes load into Windows to do other stuff. My Steamdeck is collecting dust. The larger screen and better GPU keep me on the Go.

    • @MoiseNicolas
      @MoiseNicolas 5 днів тому

      @ I just sent the Go back I legit didn’t even open the box! I think I’m going to get a steam deck for now to get into it and then once the new gen consoles come out in 2025 and 2026 I’ll upgrade. A buddy of mine told me the Steam deck is pretty much an improved version of the Nintendo switch but with a lot more options and games! I love my switch but wish it had more power for Hogwarts legacy etc and I know me if windows is to complicated I won’t even deal with it(I’ve always been a Mac guy for my creative career) so after much research and advice for a person like me a steam deck is more ideal! However I do like the idea of the ROG Ally X running Bazzite in the future! The legion Go looks amazing but I don’t think I have the time or patience to tinker with it I literally want a better switch 😄🤷🏾‍♂️

    • @zac0912
      @zac0912 4 дні тому +1

      @@MoiseNicolas Its a bit more complicated then a switch, lol. But you cant go wrong with the Deck. It is way less complicated to work with then the GO. I still think its awesome. I will probably get another when the next gen drops, hoping they have an option for a larger screen. If you are getting an oled, you are getting a tad bigger screen than i had.

    • @MoiseNicolas
      @MoiseNicolas 4 дні тому

      @ yeah I decided to go with an Oled and I’m happy with the decision! Once I get comfortable with this I think I’ll move on to an ROG Ally X. I’ve been seeing how they’ll be adopting Steam OS in some of their newer devices in the future so I’m hoping it’s true

    • @zac0912
      @zac0912 3 дні тому +1

      @@MoiseNicolas By the time you get ready to ditch it, Valve may be coming out with their next Deck. I have found them to be less buggy then the X and Go. I just deal with it for now on my Go, but if it gets worse, i'll be back on my Deck and dump my Go.

    I have had the go for 2 months. 1 month windows and now 1 only bazzite. Windows was fine but I hated how badly handled lenovo has maintained drivers. There latest graphic drivers are from April (and there china exclusive at the moment and released this month December). Side loading newer drivers just caused legion space to brick....so I lost all the handheld features (tpd on the fly control, rgb control, frame rate limits, button remapping etc). At that point my go was basically a fink windows tablet with nerfed joysticks bolted on and a ram hungry OS. Was using over 3.7 and that was despite hours of manually stripping out crap. which meant compromising texture qaulity for most my games like wicher 3 or Cybepunk.
    given all the above i tried bazzite. Yeah this is why steam like os our popular. The per game tpd limits, frame limits, screen refresh-rate, no driver incompatibility issues. Just turn on straight where i left off + less than 3gb of ram usge (on the steam side, the desktop was above 3 but below 3.7). so i could up textures to medium in games like witcher at 1080p.
    Sure i do miss out on the newer shovelware AAA but in my books for $70-100 thats a rip off, so i have been enjoying better older stuff + my backlog.
    tip
    you can get windows restoration key from lenovo if you want to reinstall windows or clean start a newer ssd.

    If anyone gets a legon go or ally will always need a keyboard and mouse even with steam os unless the steam deck it self, windows become a problem when is not ui controller friendly
