I recently installed it on the Rog ally, it's a game changer for me, gameplay feels so much smoother on Bazzite than it does on windows 11, it's perfect.
other than that is the battery efficiency good? or any other benefit to using steam os share plz
Where do you go for step by step installation for the GO? Bazzale linstals it all for you except mapping and decky?
Great video keep up the good work.
Great video man, this makes me actually want to try it out, would love it if you did an install tutorial video!
Okay I can do that 🙂 probably going to be 60 Second short
Im really loving how you tried helldive difficulty. Other bench mark videos show them at level 1 or 2. Those dont eat nearly as much resources as 9. Thank you.
Bruh, this is the most fun I had watching a destiny video in a long ass time.
if you install the hhd-decky plugin, you can change your controller emulator to dualsense edge. This will make the back buttons remappable in steam input, so you can disable them while in-game.
hhd-decky should be available in the default install on Bazzite. You should only need to hold the settings button for a few seconds to bring it up. I also tend to recommend changing the buttons within hhd-decky to remap the default layout so that the select / start buttons are the ones at the top of the device instead of the buttons in the lower left.
@@TheXipherZero ah yep, that's another option. that's not hhd-decky though, that's the hhd overlay. The overlay supports different features, etc.
@@aru3 ah okay. Similar names get me sometimes. But yes the overlay is included in Bazzite out of the box
Is the battery life improved ?
looks good
Do you get both game and desktop Steam os modes with this installation?
Yeah you can see it on the desktop
The frametime graph doesn't look to good in Elden Ring.. There is probably a chance for further optimization..
Probably because of shader cache is being compiled while playing, unlike steamdeck that has pre compiled shader cache.
Yeah it was all over, I think there's a weird issue where when the battery gets low the device gets buggy with wattage
I'm watching your Elden ring. You can do that on legion on Windows lol.
Question 🙋🏿♂️ does anti cheat work ? Like warzone etc ? I’m still finishing the video by the way lol
Since we are running a copy of Steam OS any workaround for Steam OS will also apply to the version.
Might be in the minority but I'm using the Legion Go connected to an external monitor more than I am using it in handheld mode. I can't imagine losing all the desktop capabilities of the device.
u can always dual boot
Bazzite contains a desktop similar to the steam deck so not really sure what you mean. It sounds like you are saying you would miss windows in which case ... Okay.
@TheXipherZero bro windows is better for majority of people and more useful especially in his case because from what I understand he use LeGo as a main pc. So in this case is better to dual boot, if you need windows run windows but when you need that console handheld experience run steam os.
@@OleksiiK21 Not looking to stoke fanboi fires over here, just pointing out that Bazzite contains a fully competent desktop. If on the other hand someone wants to use Windows... then what the hell are they even looking at Bazzite for since the LeGO ships with a functional, albeit not great on a handheld, windows install. Dual booting is also a solution , but with the anemic storage on the LeGO Im not sure it really makes much sense. My LeGO has been running Bazzite since the day I got it, but if I had a need for windows (Not really sure what that would have been), I would not have bothered with bazzite since 1TB isnt really enough storage for both operating systems and games.
@@OleksiiK21Also... he's saying he 'can't imagine losing all the desktop capabilities of the device' in regards to bazzite. My whole point was that this is a misconception on his part. He would not be using Windows, but capability wise Bazzite running the Plasma desktop and having access to all standard desktop apps (Flatpak/Appimage or distrobox) absolutely are available and nearly all but niche functionality is present. Unless he is doing engineering work that requires autocad or a job that requires adobe products there really isnt any capability difference between Windows and a Linux based OS like bazzite.
Let it rip!
steam deck is good because is budget . legion go is better but price way higher
Lol no steam os is not unless all your looking for is a console exp. But for a mobile PC gaming power house nothing unfortunately touches windows.
lol on my oled deck I play Elden ring at max graphics and still manage 45-60fps
I HIGHLY doubt that
Bullshit
As a Linux fan, I will say that bazzite but honestly with Windows and lossless scaling I see no in putting Linux on this device at this point in time with everything you potentially lose in the process
Definitely sound like a Linux fan… You gain a handheld centric system which the default software fails to really provide.
@@TheXipherZerowindows 11 failed to deliver also
What about hydra?
Hmm haven't heard of that but I'll look into it
@@essow1978 I think they meant ChimeraOS lol. A hydra and a chimera are both creatures from Greek mythology.
@@Moskeeto No, he really meant hydra launcher to play games. Chimera is the OS just like Bazzite and Hydra is a launcher just like Heroic Games Launcher.
@@LusantisuperBR I see. I've never heard of this Hydra launcher.
@@Moskeeto it's pretty new. It was launched like a month or two ago. That's the reason :)
Guy lost me when he said Apple is better than Android.
Well I was comparing the way people see the handheld market. If you want a handheld that just works you go with the Steam Deck, if and you want more tweaking and a better optimization you go with the Legion Go.
He's correct
He is right I own both love my legion but the amount of bullshit to play a game on this thing is stupid the steamdeck amazing and still use more don't get me wrong dragons dogma 2 on legion is prob the coolest thing but there r games that run worse on legion compared to steamdeck
He didn’t say Apple was better than Android.
it is
whats wrong with you ruberduck steam is not stable on any device..... if it constantlyrandomly crashes on windows and steam deck......it was tested already on many handhelds and it does not work properly............
So the proprietary windows Legion is the Linux based Android of handhelds and the Linux based steam deck is the proprietary iOS of hand helds? My god 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
