Prince was quoted as saying that every Led Zeppelin song has a different color. Their palate was so broad and their ears so good that they could play all the many genres that they covered so authentically. If you only listen to the radio songs and think you know Led Zeppelin, you don’t because you’re only getting the briefest glimpse of the large spectrum of color that this band was capable of. No boxes for this band, absolutely right.
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant got the idea of this song when they went to vacation in the South Pacific and the Bahamas they were sitting sipping on their tiki drinks watching the people and boats go buy! Jimmy tuned his guitar and used a flanger on his guitar to get that Hawaiian guitar vibe
All Aboard the Mothership for another cruise with The Mighty Led Zeppelin. No tickets necessary, this ride is FREE and nobody knows where it will take us, just like when we heard them the first time.
Most always when I listen to Classic Rock-LZ, I am in an altered state and very happy I have a Green Thumb. Have a Happy HIGH day my friend.@@dabassmann
When we were kids we always thought they were singing to us in code about a ship coming to pick us up while the earth went to waste lol. When you are stoned it all makes sense lol.
"Not a music expert or not a instrument expert".... I just smiled thinking... By now, he knows my music knowledge and has seen my music room. I know a little about both.
This track is so fluid and relaxing-both musically and vocally. It's mind-blowing how aquatic the guitars sound. As I grow older, I can always appreciate and notice something new and wonderful with every listen to this track, and this cd. Your reaction was enjoyable, and concise.
Now that you have seen my home in the country, just imagine how some of your songs sound with 15" JBL speakers outside 400 watts "Comfortably Numb' at 3 am is awesome. Sometimes the Coyotes in my valley start to bark and whine. Sometimes my only neighbor (1/2 mile away) will call and say... Now that you woke me up ...Play it again.
At 7:12 Page had been playing those pretty accents, and he was late getting back to the first two strikes of the main chord. I never noticed until a guitarist friend of mine pointed it out.
I think JM is referring to the more hard rock electric guitar based stuff they have done, not necessarily what many consider traditional music.@@michaelfried3123

Ahhhhh Zeppelin!
6 strings, 21 frets, 10 fingers on Jimmy Page's hands... Results are always magical.
Physcial Graffiti is my all time favorite album by Zeppelin.

"They are not to be put into a box."...
Perfect. You get it. You cannot classify them. They are Led Zeppelin.
Mic drop....
Once again BONZO is so brilliant on the slow stuff...then it turns.... :)

When in an altered state, don't really care where you're taken! Close your eyes and hang on for the ride!!!

Those were the best days, although I'm "Stoned" three times per day for 57 years.... Just sayin'@@MuckoMan
Jimmy is using a flanger on his guitar on this one. It sounds like he's controlling the flanger with an expression pedal as well.

I could see how much you enjoyed Down by the Seaside...it never gets old.
A Fender Rhodes Electric Piano... No Doubt I assembled it, along with hundreds more.
Down by the seaside was music for SpongeBob 35 years before it existed.
Zeppy tunes to vibe to. Sing loud for the sunshine, pray hard for the rain.
Rarely is "Bonzo" so tame on his drum kit. Even I can play these tunes, and I'm 69

Enjoying your journey. This album is a collection of journeys
The next song is gonna amaze you
