Its the sensor dont be fooled get a sensor and test your fuel injectors! Also something no mechanic will tell you is the new throttle body needs to be positioned! Do not push on the throttle body have some press on the gas pedal and look if its opeing up dont start the car do it while its off!! Do not push on the wheel that opens it will ruin it! If you want my email let me know i have this car amd ive replaced Almost every thing i have some knowledge that the companys hide from us

Jim Brown it started in end of November and every time i would take it to get diagnose the check engine light would reset it self so the dealer basically said they couldn’t do anything.. the whole month of December it was fine up until last weekend.. they said i needed a whole new throttle body along with the sensor, oxygen sensors and something about flushing the crank.

Fixed it with $10-$20. Bought throttle bottle cleaner, a tooth brush and a rag and cleaned inside of the throttle body

My Ford Escape 2018 was doing that with check engine light (P2111) removed the throttle body cleaned it and now it works fine.

Just happened to my 09 malibu yesterday. Ran codes, throttle body needs replacement. Hopefully that will be the fix!

These cars are famous for bad ckp sensor & ect sensor failure and vvt exhaust/intake solenoid failure and timing chain guides break..good luck.
