@@Branson420that’s expensive specially with the malibu u have to take the exhaust off but theres a trick where u can use a grinder and cut the floor

That’s what Mine is doing and I put a new one on it and it still doing the same thing
Its the sensor dont be fooled get a sensor and test your fuel injectors! Also something no mechanic will tell you is the new throttle body needs to be positioned! Do not push on the throttle body have some press on the gas pedal and look if its opeing up dont start the car do it while its off!! Do not push on the wheel that opens it will ruin it! If you want my email let me know i have this car amd ive replaced Almost every thing i have some knowledge that the companys hide from us

@@brayansalas5204 un hook the battery for 15 mins the computer will reset it self!! If theres still a problem the engine light will return good luck

Usually replacing the whole part is easier and maybe only a $20 difference if you’re doing it yourself

These cars are famous for bad ckp sensor & ect sensor failure and vvt exhaust/intake solenoid failure and timing chain guides break..good luck.
Yup. That's exactly what happened to my 2.4..guides broke timing skipped.
My Ford Escape 2018 was doing that with check engine light (P2111) removed the throttle body cleaned it and now it works fine.
Did you have to have the chevy dealer reprogram it

Fixed it with $10-$20. Bought throttle bottle cleaner, a tooth brush and a rag and cleaned inside of the throttle body
Same thing. Bought it myself. 30minutes of my time, $80 for the part

Jim Brown it started in end of November and every time i would take it to get diagnose the check engine light would reset it self so the dealer basically said they couldn’t do anything.. the whole month of December it was fine up until last weekend.. they said i needed a whole new throttle body along with the sensor, oxygen sensors and something about flushing the crank.
