    Going with Brock or softer springs?
    Think rockin' 10w30 @ a daily basis would be ok? (-20C/68F to +35C/95F @ summer)
    My bike seein 10k miles / season, mostly highway/pulls and the occasionally drag/dig treatment at the few events we get going @ here. We don't have the low grade stuff/Alisyn stuff and aditives or the Rotella either. Knew the T6 is the way to go... Been using the BelRay 10w40 EXS (we sell it) and the ECSTAR (Shell) T9000 10w40 that i get from time to time at the dealership, can't say i've had/heard of any bad experiences with them.

      I prefer the Brocks HD springs! Haven’t had any issues with the oil, but my bike isn’t rode a lot anymore. Probably better to run a thicker oil in the heat for that purpose. I’ve ran Amsoil with good success also

    What do you mean by backdated clutch? Just the older style clutch packs? Thanks

    • @RedGSXR
      @RedGSXR  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks for asking! I’m using a backdated setup from the 2009-2016 model gsxr 1000. The original 2017+ setup uses a “ramp” style that doesn’t give a lot of clutch control to the rider and only has 3 clutch springs. The backdated setup is more traditional and has 6 clutch springs so it’s a lot better for launching a shorter bike.

    How long do the clutches usually last? @red_gsxr

    • @RedGSXR
      @RedGSXR  5 місяців тому

      Really depends on maintenance. I’ve had a set in for almost 2 years with a stretched bike. On a swb setup they lasted about a month or so with hard use
