    So glad you enjoyed the video. I'm all for finding a less expensive way of using items without buying the same thing with a fancy new name. Hope you have fun!

    Now, I have a tip for you (I've been posting it here to other folks I thought might be interested. Yesterday, at Joanne, I bought a package of "Text-UR Foam". It contained two sheets each of six different deeply embossed patterns. When I got it home, I experimented with using them as stamps. They're terrific! Look in the kids' craft supplies section, where they have sticky-back foam, foam stickers, and so on. And, by the way, very inexpensive--I think it was around $6.

    I was interested in the original name brand way back when it first came out years ago but never found it. Love that I can make my own so cheaply. Thanks for figuring this out and showing us it works.

    the other kind of foam I have used is the smooth side of the kneeling foam things that you get to work in your garden or mop the floor.

    This is a great idea! But, can you tell me what kind of foam, like maybe the number or the main ingredient? I live in Europe and so can't get the cheap letters you are using. Thank you.

    Hi,how do I make these stamps,as I only have sheet foam,and No hairdryer,,,as I really want to try this,,,for making polymers jewellery pendents!!! thankyou for your video,I was unable to leave a comment on another section of this subject,before I realised it could be done with foam, any info very welcome on this subject,as they all look very beautiful🌈👍

    • @wme133
      @wme133  8 років тому

      I'm really not sure how well the foam sheet would work. I imagine you'd have to have very thick sheet as it would need to leave an impression.
      I don't use a hairdryer, although I image one would work if it got hot enough. I use a heat gun.
      Good luck with your projects.

    hi there, are the heat guns expensive,,I've heard of magic foam,where i think it has to be heated,with the impresion to be made, not sure on that though,

    • @wme133
      @wme133  8 років тому

      Hi. Magic foam is the more expensive stuff. What I use is simply "fun foam", found at almost any craft store. I simply cut it to the size I want.
      Heat guns are less expensive than most hair dryers...and much hotter. Craft store heat guns can be about $10.
      Good luck.

    You are a genius! Hahahaha The only thing is I don't have a heat gun...oh man. I don't know whether or not a hair dryer is not enough.

    • @gwensimmons_gigi1629
      @gwensimmons_gigi1629 8 років тому +1

      sweetpuppy120489 Yes the hair dryer on high would get hot enough. I use my hair dryer to emboss.

      Sorry not to have gotten back here. Yes...some hairdryers are plenty hot. Hope it worked for you.
