my mum always complains that I don't talk that much around other people, but the thing is, she's an introvert but because we live in an extroverted world she thinks all introverts should just go along with it. My dad's the opposite, he's an extrovert but he is completely fine with who I am.
Is it just me or the only persons who watches those kinds of informational videos are introverts? Because.. from what I see in the comments and what I know about extroverts is that they lose patience very fast and they will never watch a single 20 minutes video. And again, those videos shows the curiosity of introverts, like look. There are a lot of introverts that comment here. :) Hello y'all.
Hi Warlocks, I'm also an introvert 😁💦 I just knew when I watched this video that I'm an introvert 😂😂😂 All my life, I thought I was just a nerd and had psychological problem😅
Wait xD I'm more of an introvert than anything my sister says (i think that too) and she literally told me I'm too interested in this or in these things in general. Soz for the dumb rant.
I'm chill about being in the spotlight. I'm even talkative, talking over people when I socialize. I like to get crazy with my friends at time. I'm not afraid to just be out there in life with others. ...I just don't feel like talking at times
i’m an introvert with anxiety and sometimes my parents accept that while other times they don’t at all and push me out of my comfort zone, making me very anxious and uncomfortable. i tried explaining to my parents about introverts and extroverts and how there are other people like me but my dad just laughed and said that it was silly and fake... and the thing is my little sister is an extrovert so that makes matters worse for me since i can’t show “evidence” of how i’m not the only one that needs to be alone to recharge my energy and such
I feel that I'm more of introvert. I like to spend quality time, and deep conversation with certain people. I'm not good at public speaking or being in a crowd. But if I am to speak or give my opinion, I will say it honestly without hesitation, it's just that I do not speak up unless I feel the necessity. I prefer to speak with new people everyday rather than to belong to a group that does not fit my cup of tea, and be forced to hang out with them regularly. I do not want to laugh on a topic that is not funny, just to be in. Though I can fool myself at times, but that makes me tooo exhausted 😅
I watched the TED talk by Suan Cain about this topic and then went looking for animated videos to add support and clarification to her speech. Yours is the best one I found and I am thankful for your clarifications and supports of what she stated. Thank you.
I used to be afraid and ashamed of being an introvert. I tried to be an extrovert and it was such a bad mistake, it caused so many problems for myself. I'm starting to accept myself and embrace the real me :)
I find your video clear and easy to be understood. I have a friend who thinks that shyness equals to introvert and he thinks introvert is a bad thing. So this video is clear enough to say introvert ain't that bad. Thanks! ❤
Introverts are loyal. Based on what I've observed. I think its because they just don't have so much interaction on other people that makes them fell in love to others.
I'm probably around a 10 or 11 on the introvert side. LOL I've gotta say - during long trips (did one last year for 7 months on a bicycle), I felt incredibly relaxed and happy of being on my own for extended periods of time (days or even weeks). And yes, big parties are a pain in the ass. I get tired incredibly fast and once that happens people have told me it's as if I'm drunk. Basically complete exhaustion.
same with me i am more the on introvert side but i also like sometimes to be with friends and spend quality time with them and have the urge to do whatever i want in public sometimes
I started out as an introvert and learned how to be more extroverted as a way to fit in. Sports like wrestling are perfect for introverts. Because it requires deep thought and is the ultimate task of connecting your thoughts to physical actions. I learned how to make friends and also how to kick some ass. Moms and dads of you have a introverted child and want a great sport that will help them develope extroverted qualities while utilizing the ones they were born with wrestling is a great place to start. I ended up after that playing football and other team sports and exceling because of the confidence i gained knowing that could take people down and dominate them one on one. And that team work like in football is just you and 10 others each dominating their one on one assignment.
my dad told me that if I wanted to have pizza, he said I had to call and talk to them. I go in to mental breakdown talking to random strangers on the phone. after hanging up, he yelled at me for taking too long. ._.
I'm definitely an introvert, but I'm also a little shy in new situations. On occasion, if I'm feeling very comfortable in my environment, I won't feel as drained (a party where I've been hanging out with a close friend, or more recently, a wedding where a handful of us were really having a lot of fun), but 9 times out of 10, being around anyone for a long time drains me to the point where I feel miserable. There are only a few people who I could be around for an indefinite amount of time without feeling like I need a break. Thanks for the interesting and informative video!
But on the other hand, my introverted father would very often shame me for being an extrovert. By shaming I mean, when I'd show signs of my true personality, he'd accuse me of acting too much like my mother, who is also an extrovert, and to the point where I lived 25 years of my life pretending to be an introvert
When somebody makes fun of someone for being an extrovert, it usually leads to the extrovert becoming anxious and appear as an introvert. That's most likely your issue. Don't ever be afraid to be yourself though. Who cares if he picks on the way you live your life. It's yours not his. Wish wellness 💫 Namaste
Proud to be an Ambivert ! I do sort of interrupt people when they talk I do NOT think before i speak, but i do not spill secrets easily I do prefer to be home, reading sometimes. My room is heaven. I dont care for money, but i do collect coins ~
total ambivert!😉 I feel energetic when I'm around others, but I need my alone time which I love. a lot of people like me and are my friends which is awesome ✌💓
Better Than Yesterday My MBTI test tells me I'm INFP with 95% introversion. I can stay in my room/home for days/weeks, surrounding myself with books, movies, games, and foods. I never like attending an event where there's more than 3-4 people in it (that I know closely), especially when everyone is talking to one another...I will go away and find some place quiet to read, play, or talk to a selected few people...I love one on one deep conversation, and I'm deadly loyal to my very few best friends. 💖 I don't call/text them often, but anytime they need me, even in the middle of the night, I'll be there in an instant. I could express myself well with LONG writings, drawing manga/comics, and paintings, but didn't do much talking with my mouth. I love to sing every time I cook, gardening, or play with my cats, but got cold feet if I had to sing on stage. I can talk with animals better than with human. Parties and gatherings really tires me, especially if loud music and loud people included...but I love going to the theater alone, watching loud horror and comedy movies. 😊 I don't even like talking to my extremely-extrovert & perfectionist Mama, and sometimes lost it if I had to listen to the neighbor's dog or kids or chickens barking/screaming/cuckodoodledo-ing all day (thankfully my Papa is pretty much like me, so we don't bother each other much). Thank you for the video, you explain the difference very well and give me a deeper knowledge on the subject. 💜 Sorry for the long writing to whoever read this.
Lots of people call me antisocial but I find that unfair because I can't help being an introvert and I don't even get to speak as much as I want to. It's good to know that it's fine being an introvert. Also I hate crowds of more than 4 people. The more people there are the less I get to speak to anyone.
Introvert, I feel more comfortable in texting than talking personally unless the person is a close friend and sometimes I overthink what I'm suppose to say and I spent more time inside or in a corner if the room is crowded.
I'm more of an introvert, at least I was for a longer period of my life, but I think the word "overstimulated" is very inaccurate in this case. In fact I'm not stimulated by small-talk, parties or concerts at all. They're boring, repetitive things. A video-game or a good book are much more stimulating, so is a deep 1-on-1 conversation with someone. During group conversations you can usually expect the same old jokes, people talking over eachother, nothing getting done, people are afraid of being honest in big groups. Even when I'm alone in an empty, quiet room I can at least retreat to my mind, but during typically extroverted activities that is usually not an option. So extrovert activites were sapping my energy, becuase they're boring, NOT because they're overstimulating.
And when you are in introvert and start to become an extravert, many people just love you, because of your creative world in your mind, and mind-blowing conversations that they would not imagine or think. Or they can simply call you a philosopher xD
Actually I don't know what introvert or extrovert. I also don't know which one I'm. I'm really really surprising that I'm introvert person!!! I'm love to being alone. I'm stick with 2 or 3 friends. I thought I extrovert person cause I'm talkative and friendly person.
The statistics mentioned in the video were surprising, especially considering how many people pretend to be extroverts when they're actually introverts. It's great to see that there's a growing awareness of the importance of introversion.
It is a distinguishing character or feature. It is the main significant difference between two people if compared for knowing about them categorically.
When I'm in school for a long time, I feel like my energy is going away, I feel tired, even though I haven't done any activity or talk but because it's really noisy in the class, I feel like want to back home be alone and get more energy.
I'm an introvert. Let me ask about direct vs indirect speaking. Is that more an introverted or extroverted style? As an example, a direct question would be, "Could you please pick up that item?", an indirect question would be, "My, look at that item on the floor. Ambivert! Not a greatly balanced one at one moment I can lean more to the introverted side but then the next I’m suddenly leaning a little more to extroverted side but yeah- I’m an aniversario 🙃
This is the proper meaning of introverts..It's sad that nowadays people think introverts are just all about "I hate everyone ",lazying around, doing nothing and cancelling every plan possible lmao
Introvert. Mostly alone even at schools also. Not having many friends . Probably there will be only one friend whom I comfortable and an introvert like me.
I'm an extrovert, but Im too afraid to say things to the other kids at my school because they're always mean to me back. I like to have conversations whenever I can, but that usually never happens because I don't really have anybody to talk too, and when I do have a conversation, all I can ever talk about is my thoughts on why people don't like me and how much I want to move on from that school. What is this?
i was Ambivert I wake up with No Energy, Recharge on School With Socializing, *Too Much Socializing* Gets Tired, Recharge, Too much Rest and no energy again
I’m an introvert because I like to spend time alone at home. I would prefer indoor activities. I like to draw, listen to music and do my math exercise.
Yeah reading is great, but I am an intervert and personally spend my time at school drawing and talking with my one friend (Lonely ness sucks 😧). At home I like to play video games and to go on the Internet. So I would say I am a 11 on the chart because my friend and I often laugh and muck arround, but keep to ourselves arround others.
I think I'm extrovert because I adore public speaking and debates, it's comfortable for me to speak not tet-a-tet but for a lot of listeners. I also think quickly, especially in childhood. But I like books and don't like overstimulation, and I'm not social active. Maybe it's because of autistic things.
I was EXTROVERT till 2018,but then I failed in my first year final exams of college. After then I became an INTROVERT and now I am doing great in life winning trophies, medals but......... This INTROVERTENES has totally consumed me and now I don't socialize,do outing, and talk to new people.
I think, im an introvert..i much prefer to be alone at my room. i just have few of friends whom i can be trust and low of self-esteem.and i much prefer to type or write than to speech
Introvert... I don't like social things and people being around me,,, enjoying spending a whole day without stepping out side,,, don't like ppl coming or me going to their place
Yes, we live in a society where extroversion is an ideal. That's why, the extroverted ones are those which are noticed. Deep inside, introverts want to be recognized too, despite not wanting to be on the spotlight.
Sad that there is no place for introverts in this world. Introverts get shamed for not loving people at least in my traditions🤨. Introverts can't love everyone we feel suffocated when we are in a crowd.
I think, the older extroverts get, the more introverted they become, and the older introverts get, the more confident they become in their introverted qualities.
This doesn't really explain it. I don't really like thinking of it in terms of dichotomies. You are better thinking of it in terms of cognitive functions, where some functions are extraverted and some introverted but we use them in different orders depending on our type. According to the MBTI I'm an ENFP so I use extraverted intuition first, introverted feeling second, extraverted thinking 3rd and introverted sensing 4th,( according to post jungians). Then I use the opposite of these as my shadow functions. That makes more sense to me.
my mum always complains that I don't talk that much around other people, but the thing is, she's an introvert but because we live in an extroverted world she thinks all introverts should just go along with it. My dad's the opposite, he's an extrovert but he is completely fine with who I am.
that's something surprising
ambivert, I'm extremely social yet I'm shy at the same time and I enjoy deep conversation :D
So Done same, and i only have a lot of friends from my friend’s friends.
Ur just average
Your considered average

Hello y'all.
Hi Warlocks. Am an introvert myself! How you doing? :)
Hello I'm an introvert
Hi Warlocks, I'm also an introvert 😁💦
I just knew when I watched this video that I'm an introvert 😂😂😂
All my life, I thought I was just a nerd and had psychological problem😅
I'm extrovert. Playback speed is pretty useful
Wait xD I'm more of an introvert than anything my sister says (i think that too) and she literally told me I'm too interested in this or in these things in general. Soz for the dumb rant.
I don't even like being around other people. The more people, the worse I feel. That's why I work overnights, because it keeps me fairly solitary.
Tim Kramar Man it's not even that I dislike people I just don't want to be around them ALL the time. People OD with talking smh.
Following The Most High in Christ 😂 that’s what I always say people get offended often by me but that’s a extrovert

*I hate When The Society Think That "We Introverted People" Is No The Right Way*
*Don't You See How Torture To Live In A Extrovert Ideal World*
Very true.... People wants introvert to be extrovert they don't except the way a person is ....
I used to be afraid and ashamed of being an introvert. I tried to be an extrovert and it was such a bad mistake, it caused so many problems for myself. I'm starting to accept myself and embrace the real me :)

Thanks for watching! Sounds like you should devote your time to those few people who don't drain you too much :)
I have a pH of 13 meaning that I have less concentrated to humans ( H = humans) not hydrogen ions. So I'm basically an introvert.
our parents don't know about this
But on the other hand, my introverted father would very often shame me for being an extrovert. By shaming I mean, when I'd show signs of my true personality, he'd accuse me of acting too much like my mother, who is also an extrovert, and to the point where I lived 25 years of my life pretending to be an introvert
That's interesting and also terrifying to hear. I guess it can go both ways, extroverts shaming introverts as well as introverts shaming extroverts.
You have an awesome father

FlakyNutty SAME
Fred But don't extroverts like people??
Well, “hating people” is a very poor example if you want to prove that you are a introvert
Melanie's Pet Unicorn have you even watched the video?
But why hate people?
Thats more like a fobia
The statistics mentioned in the video were surprising, especially considering how many people pretend to be extroverts when they're actually introverts. It's great to see that there's a growing awareness of the importance of introversion.
in my case I might be 60%introvert and 40% extrovert so I might be an ambivert.
Melancholic shy introvert. The world outside seems so weird to me. But I'm learning to like it, and all his/her unhabitants...
I'm proud to be an introvert
HELL YEAH!!! Quiet pride world wide.
We need to shut these extroverts up.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS GREAT MESSAGE
I'm an introvert. Let me ask about direct vs indirect speaking. Is that more an introverted or extroverted style? As an example, a direct question would be, "Could you please pick up that item?", an indirect question would be, "My, look at that item on the floor. It sure would be nice if someone were to pick it up."

Yes, we live in a society where extroversion is an ideal. That's why, the extroverted ones are those which are noticed. Deep inside, introverts want to be recognized too, despite not wanting to be on the spotlight.
I am Shy Extrovert

I tried to explain to my mom that I'm an introvert and she treated it as if it was a bad thing :T
Ima ambivert
I might need a straight jacket. I used to be a massive extrovert and as I have gotten older I have gone completely the other way.
That means you've matured over the years. At some point in time, extroverts need to grow up and stop the child like behavior.
ambivert seems most balanced and my ideal.
Was an introvert, before MY car crash, but NOW, an ambivert, well people think???
I'm AN extrovert NOW, BECAUSE I'M A funny loud ASS, FUNNY FOOL.
So you were introverted at first and now you're extroverted? Interesting! :)
Introvert
Sad that there is no place for introverts in this world. Introverts get shamed for not loving people at least in my traditions🤨. Introverts can't love everyone we feel suffocated when we are in a crowd.
I am an extrovert but have been taking on more introvert characteristics as I am aging
I think, the older extroverts get, the more introverted they become, and the older introverts get, the more confident they become in their introverted qualities.
So intrestong video!
I'm an ambivert
introvert 2 3
introvert
So what are u if you are both
This doesn't really explain it.
Thank you.
more of an introvert some qualities of extrovert at times I guessing ambivert it depends on who I'm around and my mood
