Being that good at guitar is basically like having a superpower
Dude you're fuckin right....
I've been playing guitar for 5 years so thanks
Gapperally ASMR and I definitely don't have tgat1 superpower lmfao
Don't forget his voice. The combination of talents is just insane.
one 100 % superpower ..
The blues is in safe hands. This young man makes me smile. Great stuff.
Definitely.. seems like the best measure of cool music.. can't help but smile at this cool as!

Your a moron.
he is soo good for his age, just 20 years old on this video! lol
You don't play the Blues, you live and breathe the Blues !!!!
Kingfish is a force of nature, simple as that. Man, I love hearing him play. He is an absolute master of the guitar and blues, and can just cry through his instrument. What more can you ask.
That guitar is 100% directly connected to his mind and soul...talent like this can not be expressed in words.
Ya. He mastering it without seeing his playing finger , because his neck is short, lol
liar
We literally see what he's doing before he actually does it. Watch his face as he smashes that beautiful axe. This guy gets it.
this is how the blues invented rock and then metal
You just did
The dude literally looks, sounds and moves like a legend. Let’s hope he remains on track til’ he’s old as hell.
His weight on guitar is the only weight that matters.. stop looking.. listen!
@Evil Koala too much red wine and spinach would do that bro. Be safe and. Most of all be happy ftw if u all good

TBH...it was guys like this who are just so damn good that made me decide to just give up trying to play the blues when I entered my 20's. But now that I'm a widower, in my 50's, and was never blessed with children and only have retirement as the last milestone left in life, I'm thinking it's time I pick up the guitar again. I definitely need something positive and challenging to fight off my depression and give me a reason to continue living. Thank you, Christone, for sharing your amazing gift with the world. I hope to see you play live someday!
Make more milestones friend.
That pain is what fuels the music.
How's the journey?
Sounds to me like you already have the blues! I can't think of a more fitting reason to play The Blues.
I've lost loved ones in my family as well and what helps me through the storms is the Lord... I'm thankful for a Church family and the presence of Jesus Christs that sustains and bolsters through the rough times ! prayer does help !
He's not playing the blues... he is the blues.
Indeed
Stephen Doty is that why his riffs are so tasteful
Because he’s wearing a blue shirt
Wtf is that even mean
Again~~he is deep blues
Let’s be real, this isn’t your last time here
I'm just happy that I had a first time here
every week from now on

Hes going to be a legend, the chosen one

I am now 73 and the Blues still does it for me!

@antisocial extrovert nice username!
This guy was 20 years old when this was recorded and he plays like BB king. We are witnessing this generation BB King right in front of our eyes.
It's BB Prince
He's not that similar to BB King but he's great. I wish people would stop comparing
@@cyanhallows7809 I'd say bonamassa more
Both great players, but BB King is more slow and steady while Kingfish is always on the attack.
@@rolandquilente9318 I know you aren't making the point that they're similar but just want to see I really don't think they're anything alike. Same genre sure but I feel like people just compare them because they're both fat and not on the music. Kingfish seems to play with a more bluegrass influence whereas BB plays with more of a jazz influence with the phrasing and use of passing tones very much like a sax player.
You can hear him integrating other styles and scales into the song in his solos, very impressive
Get a clue
Really impresive! I hear jazz and like it... And damn, what a voice..!

I was thinking the same thing.
Bollocks, bb king didn't need to overplay like that to sound good
@@gav25x I also shared that same thought.
No, BB always had beautiful tone and made every note count and had the most expressive singing style. This guys lead tone is horrible, his phrasing sucks and his vocals are monotonous. BB he most definitely is not
There’s a reason great genres and music were created from blues.
Just amazing.
Rock is The Blues. The Blues is the voice of the oppressed and downtrodden. For whatever reason. It is everybody and what we all feel for whatever reason. At whatever time. The Blues connects Humanity. All of us can express our Blues. And we all should.
The Blues have always existed. They just became so much better when we invented guitars
That’s why metal comes from blues :D
@@SkaterMisterAxe Blues is great, metal, rock, jazz all came from there and became their own things

Love the way he runs fingers Through frets. Very thorough and precise, clear pitch. Very good guitarist.
Hello, I’m new to playing the guitar and was wondering what you meant by “love the way he runs fingers through frets”.
Besides him more than likely spending long hrs of building his overall familiarity with the instrument, from what you see is he actively doing different things to ensure cleaner/accurate note playing? Or maintaining his hand position awareness?
@@Easyrawlins well hes doing blues riffs right, every note hes playing is clear. his fingers are heavey and used in movement along each fret. really depends on the quality of the guitar also. some guitars are just better and more camfortable to run your fingers when doings riffs

At about 5 minutes in I just started laughing because he's so ridiculously good.
I got down this rabbit hole because I'm a drummer, and I've never played The Thrill is Gone. I was listening to different versions to hear the drum part (thought it was in 12/8, either straight 8ths or a shuffle but it's 4/4) and wound up here eventually.
What a pleasant surprise!
