wow... @Mark Preston... Plenty of great contemporary players today, true enough. Funny thing about those great contemporary players. They have a lot in common with "this guy." Think about it, Mark Preston; what is blues, but the epitome of roots music? The blues, IS roots. It is experienced THROUGH its roots, not in spite of its roots. When a blues man is held in the same high esteem as the iconic players of the past, it is a higher compliment than being compared to another contemporary. Especially because that contemporary has many of the same influences, heroes and examples in their own roots! To, as you put it, "stop comparing this guy to old or dead men..." is to rob him of his due, and to fail to understand the genre of blues altogether.

Will never forget this night...Kingfish is special and Montreal Jazz festival is special..
I had the pleasure to play there in’76- best time of my life!
@@BarryBurgess-d7h i have been for the last 6 years except for covid, can't get enough. i actually met Kingfish when he played Pittsburgh, he and Lachy Doley both said they would LOVE to go back to MIJF. As a spectator the vibe is amazing..as a musician i can only imagine! so can i ask you, as a performer is it the vibe between you and the audience that makes it special?
I Lövé Christone's guitar cries. Fantastic Blues Man.
He’s got the old school and new school blues which is a perfect combination!!!!
This young man does the blues proud. Can't wait to see where he goes from here.
hopefully stops playing cover tunes
I got very very fortunate and lucky to live this live. a complete salvation. I love it love
Great playing again! He's todays "Freddie King". Very good very young.
He is gonna be the one of the best blues guitar players in future....
Exactly Freddie King Not BB !!! as stupids are writing here. His tone is pure and agressive..like Freddie.
I never heard of Christone Kingfish Ingram before. Wow! He can really play that blues! Hot damn! To think he's only 21. OMG! Hold on world! We got a winner!
DAMM STRAIGHT👍You got it! Man i haven't heard such well played, Bitchen Blues like this Since, BB King & a hand full of Rock Groups from 60s--70s in a long while. "Mr.Mississippi"
Well done Bravo Fantastic🇺🇸
The guitar playing makes me want to escape somewhere just to groove, and the voice is just unbelievably awesome.
Долгое время никто не воодушевлял как этот парень! Я снова верю в будущее музыки 🤟
Он настоящий, смотрите люди!
i see this in 2021 and is beutifule
Holy Moly, that guy can play! The clean tone and preciseness of his bending technique is mind blowing.
I've already commented, but every song I listen to keeps blowing my mind harder lol lord love a duck. He's a combination of everything I love in every other blues artist, plus brings his own flavor. Friggen amazing. I need to know this man's story.
I am living 100 KM from Montreal .... I feel like punching myself in the head for missing this .😢
I'm stunned with glossy eyes. It's the Freddy King Texas blues guitar sound and voice of BB. Hooks like SRV, intuition like Buddy. I'm stunned....
stop comparing this guy to old or dead men. keep up with current bands and musicians and stop worshipping dead rock stars.
The Kingfish is remarkably talented but I've heard it all before and thats the truth. He has more pounds per square inch than any previous bluesman at the same age.
Bluesy, Funky, and FABULOUS!!! You GO KINGFISH!!! I Dig it!!! REAL MUSIC - ThankYOU!!! Fabulous Band!
Sometimes I really need to hear the Blues. Thanks
this is the best blues guitarist of our generation! and his rythem section are ice cold killers, amazing!
Yes!!! I love Kingfish!!! איתמר בק
Quel artiste !
I to think that this guy was playing at this level, after playing for just three years. This man is goin places.
Christone King Fish is unique,, it has its own style, you cannot compare it with other guitarists, it has its own sound. Great
I really like to listen to this guy! What a nice guitar player.
Wow ... this guy is great ... his blues and voice pops!!! Continuing the blues tradition from where it started. A great musician ... I'd give up all my accomplishments to be able to play guitar like that.
Legit blues player right here in the level probably of Bonamassa at the very same age. The vibrato, the articulation, the note choice, the overall phrasing... My God. Will keep on listening to this performance and see how many phrasing ideas I can steal! Kid's super legit
Bonamassa was my favourite until now. This kid just ran over Joe like a freight train!
Bonamassa ain't 10% the player this guy is.
I like him better than JB
@@fenderstratguy , Bonamassa is one of the most over rated players around , i've listened, honestly i've seen better players in average bar bands.
Kingfish here is an an entirely different class.
How is it he is not better known ? This level of excellency is a balm to a blues lover like myself that has lost BB King and other greats. This is an outstanding performer !
If BB King and Muddy Waters had a kid! WOW this kid is amazing!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for The show very sweet and BooYa 💪✌️ proud of all you Brothers! Thank you!
His new album is awesome. Finely crafted songs, no show boating, great playing and song writing. Love it
First time I've heard Kingfish. Just one of those amazing musicians who becomes one with his guitar. Thank You.
Best new guitarist today! Period, keep the blues and especially guitar music alive brother. This kid needs more exposure. He is great! Thank you for posting this.
Yep...the kid has some mojo like no ones business!...
I love everything this, I just stumbled upon this genius 15 minutes ago and I'm a fan! Lawdy!
Real music comes from the soul.... this guy got soul times 10,000
The Kingfish has got goin' on! I love his aggressive attack and sudden furious outburst. Alex Ubillus nails his style. I pray this very large man can get a grasp on his weight, we lose to many too early. I'm speaking as a dude that was once 6' and 360 lbs, so don't hate on me, I just want him to have a long career.
