I was one of their first backers when they began their crowdfunding, bought 6 cables and all of them were causing power error notifications across 3 phones. Whilst the quality of the cables were great the entire batch was useless and they provided no way to resolve the issue. Even sent in video of the issues and they said the cables were operating as expected.
Yeah, it's a pity for you but like any new product release, the first batchs are always problematic quality wise. I bought mine like 6 months ago. I use it regularly, no problem whatsoever. @@TechNbags There's a pretty big difference between cables and cars...and what they were doing at the time was taking off-the-shelf tech and putting it into a compelling package. Of all the Kickstarter/Indiegogo campaigns you'd expect at the very minimum, not to screw up charging cables. Getting a bad batch is one thing, essentially telling the people, well me at least, that this was expected is idiotic, to say the least. Oh, and there are plenty of first gen tech/gadgets that do incredibly well on their first runs, bit of a silly point.
I agree, but on first gen tech/gadgets and any technical device, the RISK is ALWAYS higher. That's just how it is. You can't have your Quality Team and Processes up at 100% on the first batchs. If you worked in production, you'll know this.
