The yellow '59 Chevy Impala, the '61 Impala shown at 7:00 and the blue '64 Impala are my favorites shown here. The plastic axles _do_ look fragile, so i wouldn't play with them too much if i were you. Pretty cool series from Revell, i'll probably try to get some of these if their prices are not too high. Thanks for showing these!
JohnSTF72 no those axles are pretty strong I have over 1000 of them still in packages the ones I did open as a kid I would always make them 3 wheel very strong axles though

Something interesting about the wheels is that there are manufacturers making full size automotive wheels with a similar idea. They are designed to look like a 15" wheel but with a 2" white border thus fitting a 19" tire. That gives the illusion of an older white wall tire but with modern sized wheels.

the silver and red 64 impala issue #148 is the best out of the bunch

i like both 59 impalas the orange cream sickle is my fav, all three 1961 impala bubble tops are super cool,the silver red/gold 64 impala is sick,pink 64 looks cool,the blue and ruby red versions with flames are my favs for the 64's why display only dad?? sounds like my son did at that age.lol
