I've owned 5 Cadillacs in my lifetime and still counting. I'm only 34 years old. I currently own a 1970 Cadillac Deville Convertible. Would love to see them make more Cadillac model car kits. Love to see them make 70 Caddy Deville Convertible so I can build it like how I'm building my actual Caddy.
I absolutely love it when you switch it up and throw us a curve on builds. I probably wouldn't have looked twice at this kit because I'm not a low rider guy but your build just inspired me and I just ordered 1 so Thank you
I love these Lowrider kits. Revell really does a great job giving you everything you need. I think when I get this kit, I am so jacking the front up in the air. These guys love doing that when at shows or driving down the road.
Wow!! You do some great work. It's been about 30 years since I built a model. One of the last ones I built was a 90's. Gmc Sonoma p/u. I made it look like it was in a accident. Crumpled front, deployed air bag. Keep up the good work.
Excellent build. When I get mine, I’ll paint mine up like my grandparents’ 1987 Fleetwood Brougham: Metallic Red with a while vinyl top and white interior!
Looks really cool. Growing up 20 minutes from Seaside Hts, NJ, I used to see cars like these all of the time. Great interpretation, color choice, and the dash looks amazing. The chrome spinners really make the chrome rim ring pop!!!! Love it 😀
Love your style I grew up in the streets I had these cars in real life and I have many cadillacs models and real ones I enjoyed your video i like how you broke everything down from the build and the slang very very cool and hip especially the don magic jaun props stay up mayne
Very sweet Caddy, love the Bishop Don Magic Juan reference LOL That gentleman used to actually live around the block from where my older sister worked in the Fairfax area of Los Angeles in the early 2000s.
A buddy of mine and I go to Autorama in Sacramento every year and there's a whole section devoted to a couple of lowrider clubs in the area. LOTS of beautiful cars that could give someone a lot of ideas.
Great build man. Looking like my homie Dino's ride 😁 everybody wanted the Dayton wire wheels back in the day. Any pimp would love to ride up to the players ball in that ride. 👊
Yea, that's something I'm gonna have to get. Thanks for the build review. It gave a great look at the parts so I know it will build up the way I would want to modify it. Thanks!
Cracking build, colour combo is superb, just bought one of these online, should get it in a few days, got to grab these kits while you can here in the UK, they vanish quite quickly.
Wow. Very nice kit and excellent build. Well, you just made me put one on my shopping list. I've never built a low rider but this one looks fun. BTW, I noticed that you like to use the Silver Sharpie Pen for trim work. How does that compare to using Bare Metal Foil ? I'm a creature of habit and all my car models have BMF on the trim, but it's labor intensive. Running that Sharpie along the window frames look so easy and fast. Does the result look as good or better than using BMF ? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts/opinion. Awesome!
Never used BMF but it's real metal so it does look very nice. I have two days to get these done, and the video, I simply don't have time for BMF work. But I have nothing against it.
That is an excellent looking model great job, I have a question do you know of how to get fingerprints glaze spray or anything off the windshields or do you know anything I can replace them with?
Another awesome video and review. You are the top few I go to for reviews and model building ideas. Love your strategy on how you build your models. Is there anyway you could do a video on how you apply your pledge clearcoat? I’ve tried this in the past with a airbrush... no luck
Yet another great build. Love following along on most of your builds. I sometimes pick up some tips from your builds. So now comes one for you. Using transparant tamiya have you tryed painting on outside of lights? For me that works better. But i guess it depends on the kit/model. Thanks for sharing your work.
Thats cool. I find on my truck builds i paint the rear lights on the outside of the glass, not on the inside. Makes them more like colored glass/plastic. Love your work.
I always thought this kit was pretty good. BUT I'm not into Low-riders. I thought it would be neat if they did a 2n1 kit with it. Tho, I'm wondering, would it be possible to make a stock-ish car with it if I had Cadillac rims (From a '59) and normal sized wheels?
Great review. It’s a shame they don’t offer these kits as a stock version. At the time the single rectangular headlight was available there was no two door version of the full size Cadillac. It would be great of they could release one with the 6 litre engine and the four rectangular headlights.
Technique question - Chris, how do you apply "Future" as sealer? Air-brush? If by hand, what kind of brush for even coverage? How do you deal with "accidents" with "Future" - sags or runs? I have heard of dipping clear parts in "Future" for improved clarity - do you also do this? Dip? Many tanks for mucho inspiration from an exclusively "armchair" modeler!
I bought this kit 15 years ago and wished it turned out better than what it did. The paint on mine started to crinkle up and just didnt do well. I would love to do this kit again with the same decals that I had 15 years ago. They changed the decals sadly.
Teeny, tiny nit - stock engine in '59 was 390 cid = 5.7 liter, just for the record. "Wiki" has a ton of useful auto & truck related info for anyone seeking another "rabbit hole" to go down. Note that Chris includes what appears to be "Wiki" information on this post.
😂😂😂 the reference to Next Friday movie , they tens but I keep em clean , that killed me
👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
Why you all just stand there huggin!?

That's what I was thinking Teddy.
I love these Lowrider kits. Revell really does a great job giving you everything you need. I think when I get this kit, I am so jacking the front up in the air. These guys love doing that when at shows or driving down the road.
Yes they do!
I have not been a big fan of lowriders in the past but I do dig this Caddy. Great job!!
Glad you like it!
I must say your color choice for this build is spot on, those wheels really brought it together
Thanks for the nice words!
Wow!! You do some great work. It's been about 30 years since I built a model. One of the last ones I built was a 90's. Gmc Sonoma p/u.

SWEEEEEET Caddy!! I have never seen a model of an ‘84 Coupe DeVille with a fresh ‘91 front conversion! I gotta get one of these! 👍👍👍
Go for it! It's falls together!
When you started the paint stage I was thinking that body shape would look good in green! Nice job Chris!
I think so too!
Now that I have seen this kit out of the box and built, I will build one. Thanks!!!
Hope you enjoy it!
I've got an 89 brougham. I've been praying they'ed rerelease it. As soon as I saw this in my notifications I jumped on it. Great vid
Hope you enjoy it!
Finish this one with chalk marks from the Poe-Leese impound yard and a couple bullet holes! Realistic with the ‘hood look’… seriously… nice work!
I don't think I would have ever bought that kit on my own. But seeing how nice it goes together and how nice it came out... I'm so buying one.
Thanks for the nice words!
I just remembered how much I miss building model cars and making them into low riders hopping them I’m going to have to show my kids how it’s done
Enjoy!
Excellent build. When I get mine, I’ll paint mine up like my grandparents’ 1987 Fleetwood Brougham: Metallic Red with a while vinyl top and white interior!
Thanks for the nice words!
didn't revell already did this in lowrider magazine (metal body)

Nice! Saw him on TV quite a few times.

Wow - Pinky's!! ROFL! Haven't heard that name in a while - dropped off a few cars there when I worked for ABC Towing in the '90's! ;-)

Great imagination man!!! Looks awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Another awesome video and review. You are the top few I go to for reviews and model building ideas. Love your strategy on how you build your models. Is there anyway you could do a video on how you apply your pledge clearcoat? I’ve tried this in the past with a airbrush... no luck

It's just brushed on like I say. But I did demo that in the Revell Concept Camaro video.
Awesome color. Great low rider. Ron
Thank you! Cheers!
Yet another great build.

So now comes one for you.
Using transparant tamiya have you tryed painting on outside of lights? For me that works better. But i guess it depends on the kit/model.

I do that in this video....in the detailing section. I use transparent Tamiya brush paints on almost every car build.
Thats cool.
I find on my truck builds i paint the rear lights on the outside of the glass, not on the inside. Makes them more like colored glass/plastic.
Love your work.
Nice I like the Fleetwood coupe they are more rare than the 4 dr sedans
Looks awesome thanks again.
No problem 👍

Yes, like I show stock height is easily doable with the parts included. You just need to supply the wheels and tires.

See my Concept Camaro review, I get into that deeper.
It is so beautiful!

I’d sure like to see you do the hideout truck kit to match the bandag bandit
