BATTLE OF THE FOIL TRANSFER GLUES - 3 Types - WHO WILL WIN? 🤔⁉ | How to Apply Nail Transfer Foils

- Hey guys! 👋
I've had questions from a few people on how to transfer nail foils to get a full coverage application, so I thought I would make a video to show you how I do it, and also, which are the best glues to use.
My favorite foil transfer glue is the ModelOnes Glue Gel, but the star nails foil glue is great too, it really just depends on preference, and if you have a UV lamp.
The best way to apply these glues to get a full coverage transfer is to let it dry a little longer than you really think you need to. And for the gel glue, don't over cure it, but once it has been cured, let it air dry for 60 seconds before you apply your foils. This will allow the glue to get a little tackier, and you'll get that full transfer you're looking for 😊
I'll have another video out soon with some looks incorporating nail foils, so if you are interested in seeing that, make sure you hit subscribe so you don't miss out.
As always, if you have any questions, suggestions, or requests for different sets, let me know down below, I love to hear from you guys! ❤️

Quick but fully informed. Well done. Gonna look into getting star glue
Thank you for showing me the correct way to use Modelones Nail Foil Glue Gel!!! I almost thought I wasted my coins 😋🤣🤗
You’re so welcome! I’m glad I could help and hey if it saves you money from tossing a product then that’s awesome 😊
I definitely wanna try the gel foil glue !! I have the star one and I’m having a hard time using it idk if it’s me or the product
It’s the product, not you.
If you want a foil glue gel, get the melodysusie one, it’s the best I’ve ever used and my favorite by far
Same like it does not transfer the complete foil onto the nail
The modelones looked pretty good. I have the glue one too. It works well. Thanks for the comparison 💜
Nice experimentation comparison, Painted Polished n Pretty. These three brand polishes have different uses. The Star Glue is for regular polish with air-dry. The Modelones Foil Glue is mean for foil strips that transfer foil art directly from the film. The Grip Gel from SheModern is for the foil water decal placement, not foil strip transfer. The Grip Gel has slippery surface after curing under LED light for easy re-positioning the thin foil decal film, result in clean foil arts 100% of the time because the foil arts already on the decal film. The Grip Gel has no sticky, tape-like surface like the Modelones Foil Glue that has sticky surface to transfer the foil art from the foil film strip. Different products has different use purposes. 😍💕
I know they all have different uses, that’s why I tried them all. And I used yours here because someone had asked if it could be used that way and I said i wasn’t sure but I’d give it a try. I did link the video where I use your product the correct way.
I’ve just had some questions about different glues and which are the best so I thought I’d try them all. The star glue is a foil transfer glue though. It does air dry, and that is how I used it. I did use that one in the correct way
Awesome sauce
Thanks for the video
I am very new to doing my own DIYZ nails at home by Chaia which is me, lol!!.
Anyways I would like to say that Modelones has rocked in every single product that I've purchased so far. A matter of fact I purchased a couple different types of Polygel nail kits. I found myself wanting to continuously pick up the modelones top coat even when I am only doing gel color polish.
It goes on so so pretty to me
Thanks for sharing the video..
It is so nice to me to be able to go to a video and watch & learn. Thank you so very much
I wish you much
Health, Wealth, Love, & Happiness
Many many blessings.
Thanks for this. I ordered the Modelones last week or so. Glad to know it works well.
Ur welcome hun 😊 you’ll love it, it’s a good one. Just remember to let it air dry for a minute after curing n you’ll be good to go
Thank you so much for the tips. I literally was about to return my modelones fool glue. I’m gonna wait for a minute after curing! Fingers crossed it works
You’re welcome! I hope it helps 😊
Did it work?
I havent tried the star glue yet...i have the Modelones and Makartt and love the Makartt...i only tried the mpdelones once it was ok...but i love that the bottles are so big...THANKS FOR DOING THIS
Ohhh thanx for this hun, i needed some help to decide what to get. 😊
Ur so welcome 😊 glad I can help!
I used star glue witch i thought it did and amazing transfer, but within a week of wear it started chipping the uv top coat (Shine-E, Max Estrada. This is by far the best no wipe top coat, it never chips but with the Star Glue it did.)
Yea, it’s a pretty common thing that foil transfers chip easier. I would suggest that you make sure to really wrap the top coat around the edges of the nail so it has a better chance of staying on.
I like the gel glue much better than the stair glue, I haven’t had any wear or chipping issues when using it 😊
Even with covering the edges it seems to still peel. I have to try the Gel glue. I bought it just haven't opened it. How many seconds would u say to leave it in lamp without over cooking.
Good video. :)
Having trouble with the kJ star glue it’s not seem to be transferring x
Can you send me some pictures on Instagram and I’ll see what I can do to help you fix it. I’m under the same name there
I have had crap luck with the Modelones. It seems to be so many variations. I'll try the letting it cool next. If not I'm moving on to Daily Charms which is pricey, but I am sick of not getting a full transfers. Any foil brands you like?
Actually my absolute favorite is melodysusie. It’s a 30 second cure time, you don’t have to wait for it to air dry after, and I get full transfers way way more often with just sometimes where I have to tap in the tiny missed patches. It’s my #1 fave that I’ve bought again cause it’s so good, definitely better than modelones or any others I’ve tried so far 😊
awesome demo
Wonderful review!!!💖👍👍✨💖✨👍 I used star glue!
Got to try the glue gel one 😍tsmfs🤗
Great review but I really do prefer the Modelones. I got the Makartt and not as happy with it as the Modelones ✨💕🥰🥰💕✨✨✨
I do too. Modelones was my favorite, I love all their stuff really 😊
Thank you for this video very helpful.
You’re so welcome 😊 I’m glad I could help! 💖
i bought the Modelones but haven't used it yet.
I love the modelone.
What are gorgeous foil 💕
Thanks hun I needed to see how the star glue held up. I’ve heard that the blue hazy glues are also good. Is that true ? ❤️🇦🇺
Actually I’ve never tried that type of glue, so I don’t know about that one.
But I’m glad I could help you with the star glue 😊
Painted Polished N Pretty you used star glue in this video
Yes, but she was asking about blue hazy glue and I haven’t ever tried that kind
Painted Polished N Pretty it’s the first one you used
Thank you!!
You’re welcome! 😊❤️
Which purple is that on your nails so pretty
It’s a polygel by saviland, here’s the video link

I LIKE the pattern foil where did you get it plz
Oh shoot, I forgot to put that link in the description. Both foils came from the same pack which has 50 different patterns/colors. Here it is and I’ll update my drop down, thanks hun 😊

Oh good experiments dear 😌 tfs! btw if you have it handy, where did you get that transparent IG logo? 😃
I grabbed a screenshot from google and then used an app called background eraser to get rid of everything. Then when I put it on my videos I take the transparency down to 85. I’ll send ya the graphic of it on IG. Just remember to take the transparency down when you add it to the video 😊
@@P3Nails Oh that's a great idea!! 🤯 Yes I take the transparency down when I use mine too, so they're less in your face 😄 Oh thanks so much!! You're the best 🤗😌xx
The Polish Queen you’re so welcome! Always happy to help 😊 and I sent it over to you there on IG, hope you got it 🥰
Star glue win
Thank you!
For what? Lol
@@P3Nails the battle... I needed this! Lol
Ah, ok lol! Well I’m glad I could help 😊🥰
Just a quick question I ordered nail foil glue and it’s arrived dried up there is some fluid but not much I’m gutted had a really crap day an come home to this can I save it 🤨🤨😭🥺😭🥺😭🥺😭🥺😭
Aww I’m so sorry hun. Couple questions, 1, where did you order it from and 2, what kind is it?
I don’t think you can save it but maybe you can get a replacement or I can help in some way
@Painted Polished n Pretty I brought it from amazon payed £23.00 with p&p it’s like a paste texture now I can’t afford anymore for few weeks as I spent my weekly budget an the foils are amazing leopard prints and holo there 50 different ones there’s been bad reviews but this brand got hugest for best quality 😩😩
#NotificationSquad 💞
Yes Sis tell me what you Think!! 💐💞💣🙏🏼

Wow that xkj glue I could not figure out, I was not waiting the 30-60 seconds lol 🥴 thanks for sharing!! Check out my Channel if you have time :)
Hey I’m glad I could help! Yea just wait for it to go completely clear and you’ll be good to go 😊
Your nails are way too thick.
Yea back then they were a bit thick. But also, they look thicker on camera than they are irl. But yes I definitely have learned better shaping and structure. It’s all a learning process and everyone starts somewhere
