A tip I learned when using the foil transfer gels is to wipe off the top tacky layer with 70% alcohol before applying the foil. It actually works and I get almost perfect transfer every time.

@@jessicamccleery6811 you should but it's only for the transfer gel. It's a quick wipe of the nail and for me it looked a little matte after wiping it. Ans then I applied my nail foil. I learned it from Paula Ponce. You should check out her video on it.

I've never tried star glue, but I have some from full beauty and it air dries as well. I feel like the air dry ones work better. I have modelones too. It was so stressful doing a video with it. She modern works pretty good too
I’ve gotten a few suggestions for other brands but I’m fine with the star glue. It works just fine.
Wow, how long did you let the star glue dry before you put the foil on. Did you happen to notice. I've tried transferring the foil when it turns clear, and it didn't work. It was still quite wet. Someone said to let it dry 15 minutes and I tried that and got better results. I apply a thin layer. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Tfs. All I use is the Star glue!! Foil, gems, dangles ect... It's cheap n works amazing

Tfs I'll have to check the brand of transfer gel that I have I get a complete transfer with it and it's an ali Express one so super cheap I think it was actually cheaper than the star glue but I agree if you already have something that works why buy new.

For how long did the star glue air dry please???
Every bottle of star glue I have bought has been solid in the bottle and unusable. Could you recommend a foil glue. I've tried everything every which way.
I had the worst luck with Modelones. I keep trying, but I'm.going to try beetles and of that doesn't work .I will likely try one of the more expensive pro ones.

The same thing happens to me when I use foil gel but when I use base coat it works better than foil gel Gotta get me that star glue

Wipe the back of the foil with alcohol and it will transfer better

Thank you. Looking at this video I remembered that I have 4 bottles of white glue the air dry kind. Test it on a nail put it in the nail lamp for 30-60 seconds OMG it works better using the nail lamp. This just saved me so coins

Are they basically the same thing which could use on transfer the foil sticker? Cause I recently just bought some sticker but not any gel here
+Cathy Lin the foil glue is in the bottle with the yellow sticker. It’s like actual glue. The transfer foil gel or foil gel, is gel based so you cure it in the lamp. You can use either of those two. Gel polish is nail polish you cure in the lamp. I don’t think you can use that with the foil.
