😳I do this! I....I can't believe it☺️...it's so good to know when you, a beginner who can't afford a teacher at the moment, are doing things an excellent teacher, like yourself, would prescribe to a student. I think this exercise helps with breathing while playing and it may even help you become a better singer, maybe...🤷🏻♀️😏😂
I wish I could do this, as the natural timing and expression of the voice must add so much. Sadly I can’t sing in tune. 😕 I find it really hard to play in tune when I can hear my voice at the same time, singing a different note.
Hmm, I wonder if you can “sing” at the same time as focusing on the sound coming out of your cello (rather than your voice)? There are many great players who make rather strange grunts/moans as they play -I think the act of vocalizing in any form can be helpful in forging a deeper soul-cello connection… I’d suggest continued experimentation :)
Thank you very much!

I was in my primary school choir for three years then...😭. In my head I am perfect but in reality could not hold a tune to save myself. 🌹🍧
the good news is it doesn't matter too much... it's more about vocalising than being the next Kiri Te Kawana/ Pavarotti ;)
