4. Karjalan arpa tuiskussa on seistä,
Silloin kun vaarassa on tämä maa.
Vaara jos vaatii, välkytä peistä:

Karjalan miehet! Vapaus vaatii,

Sankarihaamut haudoista haastaa:

5. Taatoiltas kalliin perinnön oot saanut
Veljesi henkensä uhrannut on.

Karjalan liedet ei kylmetä saa.
Suureksi Suomi, ehjäksi kansa,

It is time to rise up and cease your labours.
All together now, the moment has come
To rid the country of the night of ruin
Our western brothers will join us,
Let us join the fight against persecution

If you permit the plague to rage on your shores,

This will be the first area to be laid to waste.

To show how Karelia will take its revenge on the knaves,
On those who gnaw at the roots of our homeland.
3. Man of Karelia! The time has come;
Gather your forces around the banner.
Are you still dallying? You have heard the call:
Traitors will bring ruin to your country!
Your people are threatened by the sword of death,
If you let the moment slip by.
A common rabble is slowly approaching,
Intent on doing the east's foul deeds.
4. Karelia's lot is to stand amid the storm
When this country is in danger.
If the danger demands it, raise your lance:
No traitor may threaten the country!
Men of Karelia! Freedom demands
And requires our brothers to endure night's suffering.
The ghosts of heroes are summoned from their graves:
Will our work turn to dust?
5. Your forefathers have given you the most precious inheritance
And your brother has sacrificed his life.

“Will our work turn to dust” My god that line is scary especially in our modern day. We have to revive their legacy. Every Finn and Karelian must gather and fight!!!

Hiukan harvinaisempi kappale. Koskaan kuullutkaan ja neljättä kymppiä mennään. Hieno kappale historiaa, kiitos.
Kovasti näintä nähdään tv:ssä nykyään. Ei pitäisi vihalla nostaa naapurimaa on kaveri , jos sen oikein näkee. Viha ei auta , vaikka on mieltä , että alue aikanaan kuului suomeen. virhe oli vain mennä vanhan rajan yli. siitä kostettiin.
@@AOP762 Virhe oli, ettei menty tarpeeksi pitkälle, vaan emmittiin. Leningrad olisi pitänyt valloittaa ja Muurmannin rata katkaista hyökkäyksellä Vienanameren rannalle saakka. Jäätiin liian pitkäksi aikaa ihmettelemään, haistelemaan tuulia ja lopulta voimattomassa asemassa toivomaan rauhaa. Vain valtaa kunnioitetaan, ja se olisi pitänyt poliitikkojen ymmärtää viimeistään siinä vaiheessa kun sotaan päätettiin Saksan rinnalla ryhtyä.
Sama. Itsekin kohta pääsen neljännelle vuosikymmenelle, ja nyt kuulin ensimmäisen kerran.

means:
"Your western brother will join/assist you"

This is mainly about Karelia. The Western brother they are referring to is Finland.
Nah, it means "Western brother is waiting for you (to join him)". I interpret "uottaa" as a poetic/dialectical version of "odottaa".

Despite the spirit of the time was to unite Finland and Karelia into a Greater Finland, I believe the message of this piece is for Karelia to raise arms against Russia (and communism) and fight for its freedom. The 1930s have passed, and a new time has come with a new spirit, and that is for Karelia, Vepsia and Ingria to rise as their own nations, separate from Finns or Estonians or Russians

Independent Karjala is not feasible or realistic in any way. Only way to preserve Karjala's people and culture is to integrate it as part of Finland. Autonomous if it must be, but even then that would slow down progress.
A nationalist Karelia with good ties with Finland or Karelians having respected status within Greater-Finland are the only options, because if you know anything about the current way of the World, Karelians (especially) are not in for long without proper morality, national awakening and brotherhood with other Europeans in the acknowledgement and struggle against a certain ethno-religious Semitic group controlling over our civilization; European and European descended civilization.

On kyllä koulussa opetettu todella huonosti Suomen historiaa ja varsinkin tätä itsenäistymisen aikaa, jolloin eniten tärkeitä asioita tapahtui. Ei suomalaiset edes ymmärrä miksi Suomi on olemassa, onko se Ruotsalaisten siirtomaa?

Yeah about that, original song might be by Sibelius but the lyrics where made by/for the Lapua Movement, which where a softcore fascist movement (more Italian Fascism than German Nazism) here in finland during WW2. Might be because of that. Their leader, Vihtori Kosola was nicknamed "The Nordic Mussolini". If there ever was a leader of fascism in finland he would be it.
