Thanks for the detailed vid. I just ordered one. I usually mess with them and do beavertail grip safeties and modern hammers but because this one is stainless I want to keep it the way it is old school looking.
I already have this in blue... I'm going to have a look at this in SS on Monday... it needs a new home!! My Blue one only came with One Mag.. Thank you
WD-40 is pretty terrible as a gun oil. Get yourself a can of Breakfree CLP. Stands for Clean, Lubricate, and Protect (from rust). It is probably the single best product for doing all three at once, as.long as you shake it well before use. (Incidentally, that is three things WD-40 is comparatively useless for.) Or if you want a snazzy alternative, get yourself a can of Ballistol. Those are probably the best two on the market. Wd40 would be toears the bottom. Lucky your 1911 is stainless so there is no bluing for the wd40 to ruin but it is still a sweet piece of machinery deserving of the best
I agree. WD-40 has solvents that are stronger than you need for firearm maintenance and lubrication. Even common synthetic motor oil is better for your gun than WD-40.
It's too bad they use laser etching for the roll marks instead of stamping on some of their guns. Also, I hate it when the roll marks are crooked (right side seems a little crooked, not too bad, my lady friend had a Gold Cup that was much worse). A pet peeve I guess.
The COLT 1911 is the only 1911 people should buy. All other non-1911 pistols are counterfeits. it is beautiful ! .....but, is reliable enough to fire 150 rounds without malfunctioning?
@@unitedstatesirie7431 So, the most valuable M1911A1 pistols, which were manufactured by the Singer Mfg. @@apptituder that COLT 1911 is functional jewelry. Beautiful art ! 💎 The only thing I would change on that pistol is to replace the silver screws on the grip panels with black screws.
@@apptituder but they fell off back in the day like 80s 90s and early 2000s I had 3 different colts but they were al series 80 and had plastic parts on them.at the times I didn't know cause I had just gotten into 1911s and was under the impression that colts were still the best. Hell yea sprang for it and got the real Colt! That's a dream pistol right there for most.
🥰

How much did you pay ? Is it the exact same one as in the video. Which model was it that you got.
I got this same model O1911C-SS. Was able to get it for just under $1K.

Where in the phillipines to buy that?
I have no idea 😄
i remember opening that blue case for my commander years ago.
Just got a Series 70 myself. Are the Slides, frame and barrel forged by Colt still?
Beautiful handgun ❤
Beautiful.
Slide and frame fit any good? Does the trigger rattle?
The fitting assembly is tight, the trigger is quite sharp.
Amazing firearm❤
Thanks bro! 😊🙏

@@enscroggs no, the Singer manufacture company produced clones of the COLT 1911 pistols. The EMPIRE STRIKES BACK with .45 acp "Storm Trooper" clones.
Don't use wd40,. You want lithium grease. Wd40 accelerates rusting.
Thank you for your advice 😊👍

I totally agree with you!
All I know is that if that Colt was mine, I wouldn’t be slamming my slide on an empty chamber. I consider that abuse. Like I said that is not my Colt.
